Sim contacts Problem
I have started using i Phone today first time, i have cut my sim into micro sim and now it is working in my i phone. The only problem is this when i go to "Phone" and click on contacts it does not show my contacts already in my sim. I am worried for losing my contacts.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Scroll down and tap on "Import SIM Contacts". They do not automagically show up in you contact list.

On 02 with the 8520If the old 3 SIM card is readable in the device, try inserting and going to the Address Book > Menu SIM Phone Book and then Copy All to Address Book.
If not, you will need to get some third party hardware to read the SIM for you.

It all started after updating my software to iOS 6.0.1. Contact problems, disappearing automatically, and I have to IMPORT SIM everytime when it happens, to bring my contacts back. And this is happening more when I'm using Whatsapp application. Every two hours using Whatsapp, my contact list is dissapearing, I'm seeing only numbers. I thought it was an Whatsapp problem, but after that, when I go into my Phone's contact list, I can see nothing ! Empty ! So I guess it's a software problem or something. Please help. Thank you.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Hi,
In order to backup onto my laptop, synch'd contacts using Nokia 3.2.100. Found that while contacts on memory card were synched successfully, SIM contacts weren't.
Is this a known issue with this version of Suite. Know that earlier Nokia PC Suite would backup SIM contacts also.
Also unable to login in to Nokia account from Nokia 3.2.100 as login tab keeps coming back. Use same login successfully on any web page.
Look forward to responses on above issues.

Can't move sim contacts to phone memory
Dear Friends,
I bought nokia e5 newly. While i am trying to see my contacts, phone is not showing the sim contacts.
While i search in internet, They told that menu->option->sim contacts.from this location we can copy. But in my nokia e5 , it is not showing. But while i am getting incoming calls, it showing that name.
Whle i am going to contatcs->sim numbers, It have only fixed dial contacts.
Whether my sim is locked?

It urgent.Because i have more than 200 contacts in sim.These keystrokes are for the N97 but the C5 should be similar. Try Contacts>Settings>Contacts to display, select SIM memory. This should allow you to use your sim contacts.
Now to copy all to phone memory, goto Contacts>Options>Mark/Unmark>Mark all>Options>Copy>Phone memory.
Once you have copied all your contacts to the phone memory, you should consider deleting them from the Sim as they may otherwise cause Caller ID problems, as in you may not see the callers name when they call. -

1) I can't see my sim contacts and when I go to All it shows just some few contacts that I saved in my phone a whole ago
2) when I add a new contact it saves but I can't find it anywhere in my contacts.
This is giving me serious headaches now. Please can anyone help ?I guess by default the sim contacts were not shown.
1. To make it visible, open the "Contacts" app then swipe from the top edge of the screen to see the "Settings" icon, then on the "Settings" scroll down and look for "Show Account in Contact List" turn on SIM Card Contacts.
2. For the newly created contacts not showing, there where two options,
2.a Using local contacts, on the New Contact screen click "Save to:" then check "Local Contacts"
2.b When saving to Gmail Contacts or other Online Accounts make sure youre online, or else it will now show the newly created contact. -
N79 showing no more than 92 SIM Contacts after lat...
After I've updated my N79 to the latest firmware 30.019 I found that its showing no more than 92 contacts from my SIM card (about 240 contacts), and as I store all the contacts on it then I have no option but finding a way or another to store all of them on the phone ... I'm not pleased by this as i try to put all the contacts on the SIM in case of empty battery of something like that.
Please anyone have the same problem or anyone have an idea about how to fix it.

I am facing the same problem after updating to 30.019 my N79 was displaying only 91 contacts while in the contacs info its was showing 206 contacts on sim.
I have resolved this problem using following steps
1 Take backup of all phone contacts using the OVI after successful backup.
3 Change contact setting to display only phone contacts
4.Delete all contacts from the phone. Now ther are only 91 (actual 206) contacts from sim and 0 from phone.
5.Change contact setting to display sim contacts.
6.Copy these 91 contacts to phone and delete these 91 contacts from the sim.
7.Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts.
7.Reboot the phone now phone is showing next 91 contacts from sim and 91 copied contacts from the phone (actual no may differ depsnding upon the actual contacts in the sim).
8.Change contact setting to display sim contacts.
9.Copy these 91 contacts to phone and delete these 91 contacts from the sim.
10.Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts.
11.Reboot the phone now phone is showing next 24 (206 - (91 + 91)) contacts from sim and 182 (91 +91) copied contacts from the phone (actual no may differ depsnding upon the actual contacts in the sim).
12.Change contact setting to display sim contacts.
13.Copy these 24 contacts to phone and delete these 24 contacts from the sim.
10.Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts.
11.Reboot the phone now phone is showing 0 (206 - (91 + 91 + 24)) contacts from sim and 206 (91 +91 +24) copied contacts from the phone (actual no may differ depsnding upon the actual contacts in the sim).
12 go to contacts mark all contacts from the phone and select 'create backup' option , phone will ask this will erase all data from the Sim card' select 'ok' and take backup.
13 go to contacts marl all contacts and copy to sim. now there are 206 contacts on sim and 206 on phone.
14 Change contact setting to display phone contacts.
15 Delete all 206 contacts.
16 Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts. Now there are 206 contacts from sim (in the contacts info 206 and actual displaying 206).
17 connect mobile to pc and restore oroginal phone contacts (back up in the step 1) using ovi suite.
After this you will have all your phone and sim contacts.

my porblem STILL persists. Heat problem I dont know but it does when
1) Charging
2) Speaking for more then 10-15 min.( NOT Expected from New phone)
and it heats up and heats up ................you can not keep it near your ear for long. -
Hide SIM contacts on Treo Pro???
I just got a Treo Pro and cannot figure out how to hide the SIM contacts after I sync. I used SIM manager to import all of my contacts so I can assign tones/pics, etc. and now I have duplicates in my contacts. Is there any way to hide the SIM contacts from the list? Thanks in advance from a newbie!
Post relates to: Treo Pro T850U (Unlocked)There is no setting to hide SIM contacts on the device. If this is something you do not want you would need to pick either the handheld or the SIM card and delete them from that location. Honestly I would keep them on the phone and sync them to Outlook where you can keep a back up there if you need to.

How can i separate my email contacts from my sim contacts?
i just recently got my iphone 4s. Synced my contacts. but since i also set up my emails boxes on the phone now all contacts wether they are email only or sim contacts are all jammed into one list.
Is there anyway i can put them up in groups or let my email contacts go away.

Then import the vCards to your Address Book, using File / Import.

I updated my iphone 5 last night to the latest update 6.1 (and signed into the cloud for the first time) and now all my SIM contacts are gone....only my Facebook ones remain. How can I get them back?
The iPhone doesn't store any information on the SIM at all. Updating the phone should not have affected anthing on the SIM. Are you sure you're not talking about contacts stored somewhere else?
Did you try re-importing the contacts from the SIM if that's where they came from? -

I have a BlackBerry 9300 and i have contact problems with my phone.
I tried to sync my contacts with Funambol but, when the sync is done, I can't read or delete my contacts. My BB's OS version is 5.0.
So, I upgraded my BB to 6.0, then I didn't have this problem anymore.
Can somebody explain me why I have this problem. I' m a presales Engineer at a Frensh ISP, and we want to provide our customers a sync solution with Funambol, but all our BBs are on 5.0.
