SIM has stopped working. Unable to change PIN.
Hi all,
Working on a user's BB pearl 8120. He has been given a new handset (another pearl) replaceing the original one which had suffered wear and tear. Anyway, this morning he could use the original handset with the SIM inserted. I tried to move the SIM into the new handset and was prompted for the pin, which didn't work (tried twice), so I swapped the SIM out and put it back in the orginal handset, where it didn't recognise the users PIN.
Not a problem - I could get the PUK code from our service provider, O2 and then reset the pin. However this has not happened. The PUK code is accepted and it lets me choose and then verify a new PIN, but then displays an error message saying either that the PIN could not be changed OR the PIN did not match the existing PIN and could not be changed.
I have spent most of the afternoon on the phone to O2 and have been told that the SIM is now locked out, even though I still have three attempts left with the PUK code. I was under the impression that you have 10 attempts at the PUK code before it locks out the SIM for good. Interestingly, I've tried the PUK code a few more times since and it seems stuck on 3 attempts left.
I hope the above rant makes some sense. I't's been a frustrating afternoon trying to resolve this and I'm now resigned to having to order a new SIM card - which will no doubt please the user, who wanted his phone up and running this aft. Has anyone else had this happen to them? As I've never seen this occur on any handset or any other network before.

Please please please please help me on this one too and 1 other. I have put my perfectly working SIM into my old unlocked blackberry Pearl. Entered the PUK given to me by my carrier but nothing and absolutely nothing works for the enter PIN stage. Take my sim out and put it back in any of my other handsets (HTC and Nokia), no problem to get going. So what is the matter?
The other problem is i simply cannot find an OPTIONS icon or anything similar so where is it? Settings - Advanced Options I have or Settings - security options, but how the heck do I get to the ordinary OPTIONS to find device options.
Making me cry with frustration.

Licensing has stopped working/unable to reinstall
I have been using Creative suite CS3 for years now. Recently, I got the Licensing has stopped working error message. Im running windows vista 64 bit. I tried the License recovery tool on the adobe website with no luck. So I completely uninstalled CS3 and now I am unable to reinstall it.
Uninstall went fine, I restarted my laptop afterwards etc... Now I'm trying to install from scratch. During install I get the error message that the file AdobePDF.dll is needed.
The adobe website makes the solution seem very simple, 3 steps.
1. When the error occurs, click Cancel to exit the dialog box and continue with the installation.
2. Install the Microsoft has Hot Fix as documented in Microsoft article #930627 available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930627.
3. Update Acrobat to version 8.1 or later. The Acrobat update is available on the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/support/downloads/.
I do step one. Installation completes and I am told that Acrobat has installed successfully but photoshop, illustrator, indesign, bridge etc have not. And I do see the Acrobat Pro icon on my desktop and it appears to have installed correctly. However, when I launch acrobat, I am told that acrobat can not be opened without opening one other creative suite application such as Photoshop.
So I move on to step 2. I followed the install link specifically for windows vista, but am told that the update does not apply to my system.
step 3- I tried to download an acrobat update, though it was hard to determine If I was doing the right one, (I did the Adobe Acrobat 11.0.01 Pro and Standard update - All languages) but I got an error message telling me that "
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
Any suggestions for this mess? Prior to the original issue, I was using CS3 almost daily, and I did not make any changes or updates to my system that I know of. I even tried system restore before I even uninstalled CS3.Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
Run it, then reinstall. You will still get the failed install, so this time uninstall again and reinstall another time. There's a bug in the installer that requires all this hocuspocus of doing things twice. And unless your life depends on it, leave out Acro 8 to avoid that other issue.

Oracle Enteprise manager 11g has stopped working after domain change
We are currently running Oracle 11g on our environment. It was working fine until the domain change. how can i reconfigure oracle such that it can work on the new domain without uninstalling. Oracle runs on morethan eight production VM Windows 20008 R2 servers.

Playbook has stopped working unable to get support

My 16GB wifi playbook was "Turn-Off"'d with 80% charge yesterday night. It didn't respond to the power button this morning. No LED no screen back-light. After some time my phone established a bluetooth connection with it but still no display. On picking up the playbook I found it to be very hot in the area above and around the connectors.
I promptly took it to a Blackberry Expert Service Center where I was told that they wouldn't be able to accept my playbook for examination or repairs as they didn't have the software enabled to accept Tablets only GSM handsets.
I negotiated with the staff at the service center to let an engineer look at my playbook and I was informed that it may be a display issue and the back was getting hot due to internal shorting.
I am not able to get any links for support. The service centers listed on the Blackberry support site in my area have consolidated to the expert service center and they do not answer their phones.
I bought the device in May of 2012. It is still under warranty. I just want to know where to submit it for RMA/repair.

But that's a good solution. Many users have found RIM's warranty support extending past the 90 days. You might try further. Without needing to be combative.

When I open ITunes, I get a message that "iTunes has stopped working". I have tried reinstalling iTunes, creating a new user file, changing the startup programs in accordance with articles in iTunes troubleshooting, but am having no success in getting iTunes to stay open. I have a 3rd generation shuffle. It has stopped working with the earphones it came w/pinch buttons on the cord. It will no longer advance to next song/change the volume. Even with a new set of Apple earbuds, it does same thing. How do i factory reset or fix the problem?

Changed battery in laptop and now when trying to open dreamweaver cs3, I get "licensing for this product has stopped working"... contact customer support (thats a laugh). So what now?
it says: You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT admin or Adobe customer support for help.
Well it seems I am only able to install this on a maximum of 3 computers so if I uninstall and reinstall I may have used up all three. What caused this in the first place?And most licenses extend to 2 machines; not 3. Your computer's clock probably reset when you changed batteries. Is your computer's clock set to the correct date and time now?
