Sim lock problem

I have bought 2 iphone 4 sim free from Apple store barcelona passeig de gracia store in 29 January 2013 .In 31 January , we came back to our country , Turkey , i have made the iphones registered officially .However the registration stuff told me that our iphone have sim lock and we cannot use them with our sim cards in Turkey and we have to make sim locks opened and they demand 230$ for each iphone .We bought the phones as sim free so is this true that the iphones have sim lock or do we have to wait for a while to get them opened with our sim cards ?

If your iPhone is locked to German Tmobile, then German T-mobile
is the one that has to unlock it. If German T-mobile requires a 24 month
wait after purchase, then you will have to wait until December 2013.
If you do not wish to wait that long, suggest you sell the iPhone to someone
who can use it on German T-mobile and use the proceeds toward an
iPhone that works on the Carrier your wish to use.
Apple cannot unlock your iPhone, only German T-mobile can.

I had a problem with mobile network APN settings. After Upgrade to ICS I had a working 3G connection, but after less than a week I was unable to use mobile internet. I tired in several different ways to fix APN settings (auto config SMS from provider, manual set and auto config from google servers). Strangely that internet had been worked KIND OF (just get notifications about facebook changes but can't fully load facebook, can't load web pages or skype, but some internet related notifications worked). Then I found some information on forum that sim-lock (a.k.a PIN) removal could help. And that worked. So I want to inform Sony Ericsson about this problem. I could give some more information if you tell me how (have some experince in linux bug-tracking and debuging)

We are aware that this was an Android/operator problem back in a older Gingerbread version but I have not noticed it on ICS. I suspect that this might be related to the SIM card. So check if your can use PIN code if you get a new SIM card from you network operator.

If the phone was unlocked by anyone other than Apple or the carrier it was locked to (that is, unlocked by hacking) then it will become locked to the original carrier when you update it.

5800 does a factory reset also reset the sim lock

I have a 5800, which has been unlocked by the provider (Tmobile) so I can use an 02 sim.
The phone currently has the expired certificate problem, and as suggested in the forums a factory reset may fix this. I know that most of the phones setting will also be reset...
But will a factory reset also reset the sim lock, and lock the phone back to Tmobile ?

Random SIM Lock message

Hi All,
Since going to iOS 4.1 I am getting a random SIM-Lock error, the carrier section of my status show no service. I slide to unlock enter my sim code and it picks up reception, but the problem is when it happens I cannot be contacted.
Just wondering will I have to do a recovery on the phone and reinstall or is it a bug?

A couple of things you can try:
1. Power your phone off, wait ~30 seconds, then power your phone back on.
2. Reset your phone: Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off).
If no change after trying the above, post back.

Its not the Sim which is locked - its the phone. You are trying to use a phone which is locked to a particular carrier - which is not the same carrier as the Sim you are trying to use.

Random Sim Lock

I have a Iphone(Non 3g) 16 gig. I find that often my phone goes into sim lock now and then. If i dont have reception for a while, it says no service.. and then later on i go to check something, and up in the left hand corner it says sim lock.. Kinda like when you dont enter in the Sim code on boot up. But, this is automatic... Im not turning off the phone and rebooting it, unless its rebooting it self in my pocket.. and no before you ask, the button isnt being pushed and held down while in my pocket. Do i need to take my phone in and have it traded in?

I know my sim password, so thats not a problem.
I ended up taking off Sim Password protect. The Unlock Sim deal should have only come up when turning on the phone... Such as, incase you lose your phone and no one can access the call features. But in my case, the phone has been turned on, sim unlock code punched in, and phone is useable.. then at somepoint.. phone has zero reception.. Might be to my work location.. Anyhoo.. at somepoint, without the phone turning off, it Locks down the Sim again.. I dont know if it has some type of default : If phone has no service for X amount of hours, auto simlock will happen.
As said, I turned off the sim password protect. This seems to be a temp fix for this problem.

Solution: You must USB plug connect 2 times with iPhone. So easy progress

If you bought the iphone in the US and it is locked to a specific carrier, then you can't use a different sim (from another carrier). Is this your situation?
Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean by "trying to unlock my SIM". In which country did you buy the iphone? Who's your carrier?

We have implemented 2 BADIs to change qty in delivery and in subsequent documents. Once we receive an IDoc with batches, then we need to change subitems qty according to no of batches.
Once IDoc has updated, then PGI will do automatically.
1. LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC - Change qty in delivery (Method SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE)
2. LE_SHP_GOODSMOVEMENT - Change qty in material document.
Now, we have a locking problem at the time of posting.
Please let us know, due to these BADI implementation this problem or any other cause? And provide required to solve this problem.

i dont think u need step2 ( change qty of MBLNR),bcos ,
say ur Del.qty is 100, now u want to do del. of 50, then just u will change its qty & do PGI ? so whats the need of changing MBLNR.
while doing PGI , program will take changed qty of del. only ?

I baked up my iphone and when i had issues with sim lock i got it to finally work isynced my phone with i tunes and lost all apps recently downloaded how do i get it back

i had to get an internet conection from a friend to download akll my apps evrytime i sync with my pc wich already had itunes all apps except statup are gone only thing left was an i tunes song i brought from itunes each time i use my apple id pass word it tells me to retry i do this 4 to 5 times and some times have no success my latest issue was my sim locking buy itself then asking me to put in a sim without a lock , i only have 1 sim i brought 2 phones and have had no issues with the other phone and when i do have the original startup apps i can not move or arange them thru itunes apps and i cannot use sim from other iphone pls help evry1 i ask wouldnt have a clue because there having there own dificulties

If you also backed up to your computer - you can restore from that backup - to retrieve the files. As far as I know- that should have no bearing on deleting them from iCloud - they should still be in that backup.
If you used iOS file sharing with your computer - and saved the files to your computer - you can retrieve them from there.
if the only place that the files were saved to was iCloud, I know of no way to get them back.

When I try to connect to itunes, It states ''The sim card of this phone is PIN locked - please enter the PIN code of your SIM card and connect again to iTunes" however I don't have the option to enter the Pin code on my phone as on my phone screen it states "your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporaily unavailable"

I bought this iphone 3gs off an app. I just want to use it as an ipod. it is sim locked (with two attempts left) and the lock button doesn't work at all. What can I do? I just want to use it as an ipod.
I have also tried everything. I took the sim card out and put it back in again. And I have also left it out. And I have tried connecting it to itunes but I need to unlock. (some of these were suggested by the seller)

My guess - and this is completely a guess - is that the SIM in that phone has a PIN that was added to it by the previous owner. Whomever you bought it from didn't bother to check for this (or didn't care) before they got it from the previous owner.
You need to get a new AT&T SIM for that phone - you could even borrow one from a friend if they have one that will fit the phone. You would only need the SIM to activate it.
There is no way to activate an iPhone without a SIM in it, even if you don't plan to use it as anything other than an iPod.
