How would I code this =E*(4000-D)/D using JS in Acrobat?
The value of D and E are coming from different fields.

You have to ensure that you don't attempt to divide by zero, which will happen if the D field is blank or otherwise evaluates to zero. In such cases, what do you want the result of the calculation to be? It is common to set the calculated field to blank, but sometimes people want something different. Here is a custom Calculate script that does this:

That looks like Javascript to me. This forum is about Java and XML, not Javascript and XML. However the error is pretty obvious:
var msgNodes = doc.documentElement.getElementsByTagName('message');You don't have any elements named "message" in that XML document. You have an element named "message1" and an element named "message2" and an element named "message3", but no "message" elements. So you get a list of zero elements there. You need to rewrite your DOM-handling code to reflect the actual input.

How to Execute a code in form postSubmit event

I have a simple code which is executed perfectly when I put it in form :preSubmit: event but when i moved it to the :postSubmit: event it doesn't work at all .
Please let me know where to put my code if I need it just to be executed once the form submitted ??

What's wrong with this simple code? Complier points out that
1. a '{' is expected at line6;
2. Statement expected at the line which PI is declared;
3. Type expected at "System.out.println("Demostrating PI");"
However, I can't figure out them. Please help. Thanks.

Customer/Vendor Code in Form Settings

Hello everyone,
I'm facing a strange problem. When I want to add an extra column (Customer/Vendor Code) using form settings in the list of A/R Invoices, the system is displaying Customer/Vendor name instead of the code. When I use the View System Information, the CardCode is displayed at the bottom of the screen. This is happening in all sales documents. I tested this issue in different versions (2007A, 8.8 and 8.81), but the same problem exists.
Please any idea? Thank you.

At every Form Setting you find Restore Default Button at the bottom.
Please press that button and then try to see the same you trying to see.......

Hi, Apparantly that's because the 'link1' and 'sample_id' variables are not within the scope of the code you posted above, Perhaps you have defined them outside on a different frame or class. You can either define them with the same code like:

add an flvplayback component to your swf. give it an instance name (say flv). then use:

I want to separate my applications logic into layers. It is a simple data entry form and doesn't contain any complex business logic. So I want to get this simple business logic to different layer. But the problem is, I cannot clearly identify what are business logic of this kind of simple data entry form.
How do I separate business logic of this simple data entry form to another layer?

Suppose that the data comes into your system immaculate from some external system. Imagine that it will go out into some other system. The bits that you would still have to write are your business logic.That's a nice practical definition. Thank you, I'm stealing it.
Also interesting to note that validation falls into that category... say you're recieving data from a magical external source... you still have to validate it.
And of course you'd still have to store it somewhere, ans retrieve it.

hi... the following simple code is used to display the ename field for a record selected in scott.emp on the console. the code is placed in an event handler. it is as follows:

Hi,
please check the UIModel.xml file for the page if the binding name is "name". The code you have is the same code we published in our QBE workshop and it works there. The only difference is the name of the control binding. So please check if the binding name exists. (e.g. it could be ename1 instead of ename)

Hello, I know it is a very simple code but what is the code if I want to have different properties for headings and such in different id's. For example I want ID "sidebar"'s headings to be aligned in the center but I want ID "main-body"'s headings to be aligned to the left. How would I go about doing that?

Firefox didn't show any response to AUTOCOMPLETE="off", I try so many codes using jquery and html but no response, I implement this code in form tag as well as in input tag, in my registration form when ever the cursor focus on the username field already saved username display, pls let me help me to solved this issue.

If autocomplete data already previously has been saved in Firefox then adding autocomplete=off won't have effect since this data is already stored and you need to remove this manually via (Shift+) Delete.
If you are experimenting with code then you need to take this into account and possibly use forget about this site.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

Without methods? How are you going to all the sort code? What is the point of code?
Collections.sort(List) will sort strings or anything that implements the Comparable interface, or you can use the sort method that takes a Comparator implemenation.
If you want "just code", you could either get the Collections class souce and follow it to the code. But otherwise, there isn't one set of code. There are various sorting algorithms with advantages and disadvantages. Maybe you'd be better off searching for sorting algorithms and if you understand them, it should be simple to write Java implementations of them.
