Simple discontinuation Cycle

Hi
Simple Discontinuation cycle.
Material : XXXX, Component : YYYY & ZZZZ(Component : YYYY will be discontinued and replaced by ZZZZ)
I have given the effective out date as today 26.02.2009. I maintained the BOM for XXXX with components YYYY and ZZZZ and maintained settings at item level for replacement.
I created a PIR for XXXX u2013 125nos and have stock for Component YYYY u2013 100nos. Now I run MRP for Material : XXXX and I have got a Planned order for ZZZZ for 125nos and Component YYYY I have got a reservation u2013 100nos and the remaining 25nos proposals are not created and also its not transferred to ZZZZ which will replace YYYY..
Can you get back to me on the above?

Hi,
Production order was created and it has PN A which has been set for discontinuation (1) with follow up material B. The effective out date is in the future.
When generating WM Picklist, TR was created for both parts and issued. On confirmation only the part marked with discontinuation was consumed.
How can i not generated TR for the follow up part?

In the production order components details, there is a column for Discontinuation of the components.
If you do not want the TR to be generated for follow up material, then in the material master(MRP 4) view of the parent component remove the followup material first and then uncheck the Discontinuation column in the order.
If you want to discontinue the parent component from now with a followup material put "5" into the column it.It also has a option of simple discontinuation as "1" where in TR for the followup material will not be generated.

Parts discontinued in MRP

Hi All,
How parts discontinued is work with BOM application. In my case if am putting discontinued indicator 1 for main material and 3 for dependent material, its giving required result. But as per SAP given help, if my using discontinued group with this indicator, in MRP the requirement is not generated. Why this is so? I had gone through SAP help as per given example. Plz suggest.

Dear,
In MRP4 of discontinution material master enter the followup material and date from which it will be discontinued, from that day the requirement will be passed to new material.
You need to enter the discontinuation group in material to be discontued and followup material group in material which is going to be replaced.

Cycle a precomp?

Hi everyone
This has been bugging me for days... I cannot understand how to make a very simple animation cycle.
Here is my process so far...
I have a cartoon character that I drew on paper and scanned and then modified in photoshop. It is a simple 3 drawing cycle. She is comprised of one drawing with her right foot forward, one with both feet side by each, and one with the left foot forward. In other words, it is a very crude walk cycle. I simply want to created a composition of her 3 drawing walk cycle and be able to loop that for an undisclosed amount fo times, so that I can re-use her walking in several little scenes.
In FLASH i simply take the three drawings i would have made as vector are and turn them into a symbol that loops. Very straight forward and easy.
After hours and hours of lookin at all these types of looping tutorials I can't get my head around the expressions.
IInterpreting footage doesn't work for everal reasons. A I want to be able to change the drawings or update them if/when i update the original psds.
I also do NOT want each drawing to merely represent ONE frame of animation. I want each drawing to appear for 3 frames, thus making a 3 Drawing cycle last 9 frames. Other wise the animation looks like it's been on fast forward.
My question is, how can i turn my precomp into a realy cycle.
Any helo is greatly appreciated... I only wish I knew of a way to help anyone else on this forum...

You can work around the expression solution but it requires more work.
Place your walk cycle into its own composition with matching duration and size. Render it out as a lossless Quicktime file, with alpha channel if necessary.
Re-import the rendered file, and in Interpret Footage set the number of loops required.
Learning the expression method will be more beneficial in the long run, but the solution above may be handy if you need a quick fix.

New hub 2.0 and the web

Hi all
New to the forum and in need of some assistance, I'll start from the begining.
openreach have been out due to a few faults on my line....helpline said nothing wrong but would send an engineer. anyway the engineer decided to completely alter the house wiring for the phone/broadband even though it had been trouble free for about 8 years, he moved the main line connection to my home office, fitted a new adsl v1.0 box and remade all the other connections in the house....still no/slow broad band, so he went to several external junction boxes... came back several hours later to say all sorted.....water in joints. great I thought so both the engineer and I went to test the speed of the computer on the web, he then noticed I had a v1.0 hub and phone, he swapped these to a v2 hub and phone after talking to his helpline contact.
great I now have the web much faster than I've ever had before. The engineer was brilliant and very helpful....all sorted
The problem I have is prior to replacing the hub there is a local auction site i used to visit prior to their monthly auctions...this served to see if it was worth going or not. since using the v2 hub I cannot access the site even though I know it's not down ( checked using works web access).
anyone any ideas

Hi Pete. Welcome to the forums.
May I ask what the site URL is ? Maybe it's not currently available for any BTinternet user, due to DNS or other problem.
However quite a lot of times, a simple power cycle of the router (i.e. disconnect the internet, remove the power to the router for a minute or two, then reconnect). It might be that the current IP address you have has somehow become stale and can't access that site. It's a weird thing, but it can happen! (I'm sure there's a technical reason for the problem )
To check IP address before/after router reboot - use something like http://www.whatismyip.com/ - hopefully you will get a different one and it will then give access to the site.

I have recently updated my Apple TV (gen 2) and now Airplay video won't work. I can hear the audio, but no video. I have unplugged, replugged, restarted. Help! This problem is all post-upgrade.

First time using this site; not sure if I'm doing it right.
My apple tv which has always worked beautifully is not picking up airplay from my ipad. It is picking up the audio, and it will certainly do that "mirroring" thing where you watch a grainy computer screen on your tv, but it won't work the way it used to. Any help? I have plugged and unplugged, reset and restarted everthing to no avail. Icons are available, I see the apple tv option on all devices but it just won't do it's thing. Help!

Sometimes a simple power cycle of your your wireless network can resolve some AirPlay issues. I would also recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close.

IPhone 5 won't connect to wifi since update to iOS7-says incorrect password. It seems to have forgotten the password to two wifi locations I use daily. When I enter the passwords manually, I get message "Incorrect password for ......(network name)"

I reviewed another post on the support community that initally appeared to cover this topic. That question was replied to, and the person was referred to apple support pages that detail how to get one's iphone to link with wifi (turn off device, reboot router, go to iphone settings->wifi->click "i" next to your problem network and select "forget this network").... How do I select "forget this network"- it's not even an option (maybe it would be IF I could get the iPhone to connect to the network, but then I wouldn't need this question answered...)
I have multiple other computers (Macbook Air, iMac 2011, and PCs), as well as new iPad (also recently updated to iOS7) and my wife's iPhone 4S (running iOS6), all of which have no problem connecting to our networks (and no access passwords have been changed). Only my iPhone 5 seems to be left out in the cold. The iPhone 5 "finds" the networks, but will not accept correct access passwords as "correct", therefore cannot actually connect to password-secured wi-fi networks (at least the two I use daily- therefore I assume this problem would follow me elsewhere I might attempt to access a PW-protected network such as WPA/WPA2, etc).
Any ideas where to turn next, or is anyone else having similar problems? Thank you-

First my iphone was showing up in itunes. Then it wasn't and I couldn't sync it. Now when I plug it in, it shows up as my ipad. Can someone help me, please?

My iphone showed up just fine on itunes. So did my ipad. Then my iphone stopped being recognized by itunes. Now when I plug it in itunes sees it as my ipad. Can someone help me to get it back the way it should be?

Why does air display no longer work from IMac, with mavericks to apple tv???

Ever since last two updates of Mavericks, I have not been able to broadcast to apple tv as extended or mirroring desktop. It says it is avalable, and does nothing but a black screen on apple tv, and does not even come up as a desktop in display prefrences. What should I do? IMac:10.9.2

Is Apple going to solve this problem?

As I scan through the forum with problems of my own, I see that the majority of the people all have the same problem. It must be a problem with software unless Apple is trying to force the users to purchase new units. Everyone is scared that their ipods are dead or corrupt and there does not seem to be a fix yet. I had the same thing happen to me and was left to figure out the problem on my own. The automated Apple help was of no assistance at all. Will Apple respond to this problem or let it be dealt with by forum administrators and such?

Lost photos while updating to iOS 5

First I updated itunes to 10.5, and then I downloaded and installed iOS5 on my iphone 4. Nothing was automatically synced before iOS5 installation, but itunes showed that it was backing up data. After installation, when itunes restored the backup, I realized that I'd lost all my photos, videos and some contacts. Is there any way I can get them back?

First things first, go to Settings > General > About. Look at photos. If it reads how many you originally had, they should be on your iPhone, just not showing up in the Photos app. This happened to me, it confused me very much, how could my Settings read that I had nearly 530 photos, but only about 150 actually show up? They were even in this tab called events, which disappeared when I did these two steps, which seem to have resolved my problem:
1) Sign into iCloud and turn on photo stream.
2) Power cycle the iPhone. (I think this is the step that actually resolved my problem)
Like I said above, I think step 2 is what actually resolved my problem, as with many iDevices, a simple power cycle seems to resolve many issues. From what I have read online, it seems that when iTunes restores your iPhone after the iOS5 update, it relocates your photos to a different folder, which will be found after a power cycle. Once your phone powers back on, go into the Photos app and check for your photos, they should be there and in the original order they were in before the update! I hope this helps you, good luck!

Some downloads show up in the downloads window as "cancelled", and although I can resume the download by clicking on the icon, the download doesn't then show up in the target folder--how can this be fixed?

This happens a lot when I try to download and ".exe" file. I first get the window and click that I want to save the file. Then I select the folder to save it to. Then the Firefox download window opens and the file is listed, but it says "canceled". I click the circular arrow (or right click and select "retry"), and the file then shows as downloading in the Firefox download window. But then if I right click on it, the option to open the file or the folder containing it is greyed out, and, if I go to Windows Explorer to look for the file in the folder where it was supposed to be saved, it is not there. (I checked the download help topics and couldn't find an answer to this problem.)

I completely understand your frustration regarding these issues. Allow me to suggest a couple of things that may help lessen your frustration and resolve some issues. First, you should look to see if you have Automatic Downloads activated on your iPad (it could explain why the Simpsons game would have showed up on your iPad out of the blue):

In order to actually get rid of the Simpsons app or finish downloading it, you may need to try turning off your iPad, then turning it back on. Get the column names of a query (in own plugin)

Hi,
I'm developing my first plugin. It is a region plugin where the plugin-user passes a sql query as the source that the plugin will turn into a formated report.
I found how to retreive the query result by using APEX_PLUGIN_UTIL.GET_DATA functions. Since it is an array, it is simple to cycle through the data rows. But how can i figure out
1) how many columns the query returns
2) whats the name of the columns is?

the package APEX_PLUGIN_UTIL provides everything you need. No need to do your own DBMS_SQL handling!

I've been watching Eurosport and BBCi player via my iphone but all of a sudden its stopped working? When i press the air play button i used to get iPhone/Apple TV/Bose speaker as connection options but now the apple tv option has gone?
