Simple idea to make the iPhone almost unstealable.

I have in a long time gone around thinking why an iPhone can be shut down without typing the password for it,
I have 2 times gotten my iphone stolen, and og course i have Find My Iphone, but the thief knows that all it takes for him to get around that, is to turn off the phone and reset it to fabric settings before turning it on again, then I can't track it.. But If something as simple as requesting the iPhone password when you want to shut it down, exactly like it does when you want to use it was implemented, the iPhone would not be worth stealing, because then you can't, disable find my iPhone, you can't turn off the phone unless you smash it, which would make it almost unstealable.
Just really hope that this can get enough attention for apple to actually make this :) it is sooo simple, yet so effective!

As a happy iPhone user, there are a few things that I'd be glad to see some changes on.
One of these is more options regarding the contacts. Say, I like just the first name or the nickname of my friends and family show up when I call or text, but at the same time have the person's full name stored. What I wanna do is I want to be able to add my parents full name, and then just "Mom" and "Dad" under nickname or whatever, and make the iPhone sort and show them by that. Currently it doesn't look like the phone will let me.
So, is there any app or whatever that could workaround this problem, or do you think Apple would implement this in a future update?

I wanted this function as well and I just downloaded "BBClendar Free" and it works perfectly for this, better than an inexpensive digital watch!
Just go to the Advanced section, enable the hourly beep and even set which hours (mine is 8 AM - 10 PM) and what minute of each hour it beeps on. Just be sure to leave the program open when you go on standby or it won't beep.
As the App's description says, "Hourly Beep helps you to take a moment to rest in a busy day for every hour."

Well, since you've had the same problem, with three different phones, that all use different size sim cards, it seems pretty obvious the problem is with your carrier/coverage & nothing to do with your phone or sim card.

The Mail app on the iPhone does have an option to clear previous recipients like mail in Mac OS. The only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone.

When you use your GPS does your iPhone get hot enough to shutdown? The reason I ask is that I have run my GPS app with the screen brightness set to near max connected to power for hours. My iPhone got hot, but didn't shutdown.

In particular all photos or any slide show since the beginning of time have always had a black background. Not white. At the very least, the viewing of pictures should have a black back ground. I hope maybe you can introduce some gadgets or an upgrade that lets us choose something other than the bright white background. The accessibility option to inverse the video is awful. All your pics are negatives. I would hope you are hearing many similar comments and I look forward to an upgrade soon that gives us options to change that bright white. If I could I would set my iPhone back to IOS6.
The new IOS also kills your battery no matter it seems how many location services and other apps you disable.

Well, I recently iTunes has Buge and when I reopened everything was gone. I did not backup later, so my library is composed only of my purchases on the iTunes Store. I want to sync my iPhone with iTunes, but if I make this sync, iTunes will erase all data on the iPhone and replace with data from the iTunes library. But I want the opposite, that is to say replace iTunes data with data from the iPhone. How do I do this?

PS: I know that many will tell me that iTunes syncing only occurs from iTunes to iPhone, not vice versa, or need to use an extraction program .. But is it any other solution?

Do I need something special to make the iPhone 4 pare with a 2012 Volvo XC90?

I have the new 2012 Volvo XC90. The sad part is that I'm having a dickens of a time getting the phone to not overtake the car audio system. The iPhone 4 is pared with the bluetooth in the car and even takes calls and works for conversing hands-free while driving. The part that is lost is the radio. Now the screen in the car shows the phone is present while the phone is not being used but there is no on-screen display for the radio now that the phone is pared. How do I get back to the radio. Volvo says I need to talk to Apple, and I'm guessing that Apple will say that I need to talk to Volvo. You know where that leads, me left talking to myself.
Please, any insight into anything special I need to do to make the phone work in the car and not overtake the radio while I am not using the phone will be a big help.

How do I make the iPhone use only the Address Book contacts?

I just spent some time cleaning up my Address Book on my Mac. I want to sync it back to the iPhone so that the phone shows the exact same contacts. How do I know what will override which contacts are used? I don't want the iPhone to merge anything, I want a clean start with the Address Book I just cleaned up.
Going forward of course I will want to keep contacts I've added on the phone, but for now the Address Book is most current.

Hey Exit,
Click on the iPhone on the left side of iTunes, under Devices> Click Info above the picture of the iPhone> scroll to the bottom and check Contacts under Advanced Replace Information on this iPhone.
This will erase the contacts on the iPhone and replace them with contacts in Address Book.
