Simple Oracle query

Hello there, I need help with a query. I have a table like this:
CREATE TABLE ROZNICE
ID NUMBER(12) PK,
IDOBIEKTU NUMBER(12),
DATAWER DATE NOT NULL,
DATAARCH DATE
And I'd like to get all rows that have DATAWER >= SYSDATE or DATAARCH >= SYSDATE, and also get allrows that grouped by IDOBIEKTU has DATAWER equal to last row before SYSDATE e.g. DATAWER < SYSDATE.
All rows that have DATAWER >= SYSDATE && DATAARCH >= SYSDATE and last one (for the same IDOBIEKTU) with DATAWER <= SYSDATE.
I'm trying to do this:
SELECT
FROM
ROZNICE
WHERE
DATAWER >= SYSDATE OR
DATAARCH >= SYSDATE OR
(IDOBIEKTU, DATAWER) IN (SELECT
IDOBIEKTU,
MAX(DATAWER)
FROM
ROZNICE
WHERE
DATAWER < SYSDATE
GROUP BY
IDOBIEKTU
I takes quite a long time to execute this on 20 000 rows table. IDOBIEKTU and of course ID are indexed.
Maybe some analytic fuctions ???

Ok, my mistake, I don't need subquery, what I need is an union:
SELECT
FROM
roznice
WHERE
datawer >= SYSDATE OR
dataarch >= SYSDATE
UNION
SELECT
id,
idobiektu,
datawer,
dataarch
FROM
SELECT
id,
idobiektu,
datawer,
dataarch,
MAX(DATAWER) OVER (PARTITION BY IDOBIEKTU) as maxdatawer
FROM
roznice
WHERE
datawer < SYSDATE
WHERE
datawer = maxdatawer

  • Simple oracle query not working in cf9

    when running in oracle 10g, this query returns correctly one row:
    WITH myResults  AS
       SELECT 1 AS myLevel, 'someString' AS myData
       FROM dual
    SELECT *
    FROM myResults;
    Returns:
    MYLEVEL
    MYDATA
    1
    someString
    When put inside a cfquery on a cf9 page, returns nothing!
    <cfset qryRan = "false">
    <cfif isDefined('myQry.recordCount')>
        <cfset qryRan = "true">
    </cfif>
    Qry: <cfoutput>#qryRan#</cfoutput>
    Returns:
    Qry: false

    I think the problem is with your logic, not the query. Doing this:
    <cfquery name="x" datasource="##" username="##" password="##">
    WITH myResults  AS
       SELECT 1 AS myLevel, 'someString' AS myData
       FROM dual
    SELECT *
    FROM myResults
    </cfquery>
    <cfdump var="#x#">
    Shows the results as expected.

  • Oracle Query runs very slow filling table

    I have used Java Studio Creator 2 with Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.1_02 (build b06-fcs) in the past. I created a simple oracle query to populate a table and displaying about 560 rows in a table via a web browser. This runs excellent.
    Now, I use Netbeans 6, along with Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 (build b58g-fcs), I populate a table using the same query as before and it takes quite a long time to fill the table. Actually, the browser keeps asking if I want to stop the script about 6 times. If I keep saying yes, it eventually completes.
    I'm using an Oracle 9i database and have tried different drivers from Oracle with the same results.
    Any idea why the difference in filling the table or how to correct this? Thanks!
    Please note: I have this same question posted in the Java.net forums but it's not been answered so far, I hope this isn't crossposting and I get yelled at!

  • Converting a simple Oracle Report to XML Publisher report template

    Hello,
    I have a simple Oracle Report 9i which displays data from four tables. It uses three different queries to get the data. How can I simply generate a template file(say RTF) or atleast an XML source from that report? I tried joining the queries (like outer join) but wasn't able to get the format which report 9i was generating. Could anyone please help me out with a clear approach?

    Hi,
    Are you referring to how to get xml out put from seeded report i mean from EBS that already in oracle reports,
    then you need to query from respective application by creating new concurrent program and then change the out put to XML, you will get xml file then save it to your system.
    By using this input xml fle you can create RTF template whatever you want the foramat, after that you upload back this RTF file to EBS using XML PUBLISHER ADMINISTRATOR responsibility.
    hope this might give you idea,
    let us know if it is not clear or you are asking different question,

  • Simple Spatial Query caused ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

    I try to run a simple spatial query to find the ID's which inside the specified circle
    select n.ID,n.FEATURE_ID
    from NC_MANGROVE n
    where sdo_relate(n.shape,
         mdsys.sdo_geometry(2003,null,null,
         mdsys.sdo_elem_info_array(1,1003,4),
         mdsys.sdo_ordinate_array(848948,834940,848908,834980,848908,834900)),
         'mask=ANYINTERACT querytype=WINDOW')='TRUE';
    but it end up of ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    Then I try another query, which I think do the similar thing
    select n.ID,n.FEATURE_ID
    from NC_MANGROVE n
    where sdo_within_distance(n.shape,
         mdsys.sdo_geometry(2001,null,mdsys.sdo_point_type(848908,834900,null),null,null),
         'distance=40')='TRUE';
    but same error occurs.
    Is it the SQL*net configure problem. I am using Oracle 8.1.7 for both client and server.
    Please help
    Tommy

    Does SDO_FILETER Queries work fine? If so there is already reported bug and patch for that on Metalink site. Get all the patches for 8.17 spatial and install those.

  • Simple Spatial Query

    Can anyone help me with just a real simple spatial query. All I want to do is identify which police district a parcel falls in. I have two shapefiles police and parcel and I know I should do an relate but I just can't figure out to get the answer back. Can anyone help me.
    Matt

    Here is an example to try...
    select pd.district_name
    from parcels p,
    police_district pd
    where p.apn = 'XXXXXXXX'
    and mdsys.sdo_relate
    (p.shape,pa.shape,'querytype=window mask=anyinteract') = 'TRUE';
    Note that the table names have aliases (p and pd).
    I am just learning Oracle Spatial too but this example should work.

  • Simple SQL query statement is needed

    I need a simple SQL query to fetch records which is existed in all the departments.
    for example: i want to list the employees which are existed in each and every department.. not sure how should i get those.. will anyone help me please.. thanks in advance

    I think it would be wise to go to the following training:
    Oracle Database <version> : Introduction to SQL
    You will get the information you are looking for in five days. You can go find a tutorial on ANSI SQL, as advised by this board for free, to fix your immediate problem with a simple query. But, I personally recommend a more formal class specific to Oracle, as you will also get information about PL/SQL, and you get the benefit with working with other DBA/programmers when you are learning. This will solve your immediate issue, and any future issues with the language.
    You can find it in the Education section of the Oracle website.

    No MySQL haven't analytic functions. But every analytic function can be achieved with simple SQL, just one needs to write more it :)
    So here is a starting point how to emulate analytic functions in MySQL
    http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/mysql/2007/03/29/emulating-analytic-aka-ranking-functions-with-mysql.html
    And MySQL haven;t rowids as well, but actually I dont see any sense of it in this particular query.

    Notes:
    1. When i put the cursor before "variable" (starting of the query) and execute the script i get an Error: ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement.
    2. When i put the cursor just before "SELECT" i get a pop up.
    a. it is a Toad window which displays the available variables (in this case :SYSDATE_UTS).
    b. gives me a dropdown option to select the type (by default VARCHAR2 is selected).
    c. there is a value field where i need to enter the value for the Variable.
    d. the SQL statement shown in this dilog box does not include the 1st 2 lines
    variable SYSDATE_UTS NUMBER;
    exec SYSDATE_UTS := (sysdate-to_date('19700101','yyyymmdd'))*86400;
    Q: is there something wrong in the syntax i am using?
    Sven W. - I have been using your method all these days, which works just fine. i wanted to know how i could use a variable instead.
    Business Requirement - My whole intent is to calculate the Age of an incident (Difference between "Reported Date" and current date) and to assign Age Groups (0-1 Days, 2-4 Days,....,20+ Days).

    I have enclosed sample data and also table structure. I need help in getting the query.
    select dept_id,proc_code,override_goal,goal_override_date
      from table2
    where goal_override_date between '02-jan-2014' and '11-jan-2014'

             DAY_FRIDAY, DAY_SATURDAY
      from table1
    where dept_id =10
    and proc_code = 'CP';
    Table1  is kind of maintenance table.
    In Table2 values can be overridden.
    Requirement
    Check to see if there is data in table 2 for the date range . If table2 has no value then take value from table1 for that day the date falls into. Any more clarification please ask me.
    Sundays are all zeros.

                      CONNECT BY LEVEL <= (in_dt2 - in_dt1)+1) qry1);
    Now run the query it will prompt you for the inputs. You can pass the date values and check the result. Otherwise replace &from_date,&to_date with user inputs

    Use INDEX hint to force Optimizer to use the specfied index.
    You really need to investigate why Optimizer doesn't choose the index. Remember, INDEX SCAN are not always GOOD.

  • Passing parameters to oracle query

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm a newbie to oracle and need help passing parameters to an oracle query. For example, I need to show all the employees in a certain department.So a list of "DEPT_CODE"'s will be displayed on a webpage and then the selected value will be passed to the query. I currently have this query in MS Access and use the bracket for user input ("[Dept]"). But how can this be done in oracle?
    I am using ASP.NET 2.0 and Crystal Reports XI. Basically I have a webform where users can select the date range and department from a listbox. When the submit button is clicked, the values are passed to the query in crystal reports. For example, I have a query with "DEPT" as a parameter. So I pass the value of the selected listbox item from the webform to the crystal report. But now I have to select data from an oracle database and provide parameters. This is where I need help.
    Thanks in advance

  • Oracle query hints in JPQL - is it possible?

    Sorry, posted to wrong forum... I don't know how to delete it - only edit...
    Hello,
    I am using Sun Java Application Server 9.1 (GlassFish), EJB 3.0 and JPA (TopLink). My database is Oracle.
    Is there any way to specify Oracle query hints (for example, /*+ rule */ in JPQL queries? Or the only way to do it is using native queries?
    Many thanks in advance

    Yes.It is possible.Only need to modify the view for order tracker query need to change.
    You can use decode statement in the query to add status as Processing .
    Please refer the IBE_ORDER_SUM_V view for details.
    Eg:
    decode(oel.meaning,'Booked',"Processing",oel.meaning) from
    oe_lookups
