Let say I am setting up a database on one machine and I want it to live migrate to another - I have 4 luns - lets say /OVS for shared reporsitory - /pr01 - oracle binaries - /prdb for database files and /prlg for logs -
I know I need to make the OVS ocfs2 - now do I create 2 Vm's and how do I present the other luns to the server - Do I have to ocfs2 these also ? - or do I just edit vm.cfg and add them in as say ext3 filesystems ?

A: Please note that you have two option, a) 4 LUNs or b) use 1 LUN for /OVS and 3 shared virtual disks, i.e. pr01.img, prdb.img and prlg.img located in the /OVS/SharedDisk directory. Let's break down each option.
Q: How do I present the other luns to the server.
A: You present all the LUNs to each "Oracle VM server" using the identical configuration, i.e. please see http://itnewscast.com/chapter-6-oracle-vm-22-san-iscsi-and-nfs-backend-storage-configurations#SAN_Storage_Repository_Configuration for configuration details.
Q: Do I have to ocfs2 these also?
A: If you mean using OCFS2 for the /pr01,/prdb and /prlg LUNs, the answer is not really. You could provision the LUNs and format each LUN with ext3, then present the LUNs to each host and then in each guest in it's vm.cfg file. Please see http://itnewscast.com/chapter-6-oracle-vm-22-san-iscsi-and-nfs-backend-storage-configurations#SAN_Storage_Repository_Configuration for the hosts and http://itnewscast.com/chapter-6-oracle-vm-22-san-iscsi-and-nfs-backend-storage-configurations#Oracle_VM_Guest_Front-end_Storage for the guest configuration details.
Please note that the option to use shared virtual disks for the /pr01,/prdb and /prlg directories would create a separate file backed block device, i.e. pr01.img, prdb.img and prlg.img file for each directory in the /OVS storage repository located in the /OVS/SharedDisk/ directory. Shared virtual disks are available and manageable in Oracle VM Manager. This option would only require one LUN, i.e. for the /OVS root storage repository. Live Migration with this configuration is an integrated feature, i.e. nothing to configure other than a root storage repository, i.e. http://itnewscast.com/chapter-6-oracle-vm-22-san-iscsi-and-nfs-backend-storage-configurations#SAN_Storage_Repository_Configuration
Q: do I just edit vm.cfg and add them in as say ext3 filesystems?
A: Yes, each option (luns or shared v disks) will require entries for each of the LUNs or shared virtual disks in each guest's vm.cfg file. Ext3 can be used for each lun.

Quite the trial to sign in to freaking Apple support. I apparently made an account with my primary e-mail, but damned if I can recover the password, apparently I don't know my own birthday. So I had to make a new account with another e-mail, and even when I thought it was done, no, I had to fill out more information before I could get to this screen. You won't let me ask for tech support from your message board without my mailing address? Then my completely inoccuous user name was rejected for containing banned words. Lemurs and cats are profane now, what? This is why I hate computers.
Anyway, I've got Mac OS X 4.something, can't check because it is shut down, and I already described my problem in the subject there before I got dragged back into account creation. I searched several places for answers but all I can find are discussions about double beeping at startup (even when excluding the word "startup" from search results), while my double beeping started all of a sudden when the computer was in use. The beeps were certainly less than a minute apart. What happened? What do I need to do about it? Is it safe to start the computer up again? Fortunately my files are pretty much all backed up.I don't know if we are experiencing the same problem, but this is what I did and it seemed to work for me so far.
Before anything I had to hard restart my laptop. hold power button until off then turn back on.
In Finder click on Go, then click Go to Folder. in the dialogue box type
/var/db/crls
In that folder there are two files that you need to move to the trash
crlcache.db
ocspcache.db
You will need to type in your password to move these to the trash.
Restart your computer and then Empty the Trash. It is very important that you empty the trash afterwards. I forgot to do this the first time and I had to restart the whole process. It has been a few days and I have been without any problems.
I am not claiming this process to be my own, I found it on another discussion thread and it worked for me. I don't have a link to it because I had to use someone else's computer and had no luck trying to find it again. This is the procedure I followed, I do remember it well and I wrote down the steps because I had to do it twice and got tired of combing through all of the websites I have searched looking for a fix to my problem. Hopefully this helps, and try it at your own risk of course.

Aperture 3: After sending my book for printing to Apple the Apple Store told me that my text and the background have the same color and they couldn't print the book. But I couldn't find any problem in the preview. How could I find the pages where the problems are? Or otherwise, why doesn't print Apple the book how it is. Idon't need the text which couldn'be seen.

I've tranferred some photos in my iPhone 4s using the app called simple transfer lite, but still can't find any option to delete those photos, if any body knows how to do this please let me know.
I have a suggestion, noted below, but I'd like a little more information please. Are you saying that after you've transfered photos to your PC or Mac you want to then delete them from the iPhone? If they're photos taken with the iPhone couldn't you just go back into Camera roll and delete them there?
I had a similar situation with my parent's iPhone and iPad. I synced a couple of folders of photos via iTunes on their laptop to the iPad. The intent was to use the slideshow feature on the iPad as a digital photo frame. To save time, I had synced all the photos in the folders, thinking that my mom could delete the pics she didn't want. After doing this I found I couldn't delete any of the pictures synced this way. I came to find out that pictures contained in folders synced via iTunes cannot be deleted from the iOS device.
A friend suggested a paid app called PhotoSync. It's $1.99 and no, I have absolutely no connection to the deveolper. It's just an app that does exactly what I needed it to do. After transfering photos you can go into camera roll or an album and delete them. There is a companion free app that you install on your PC or Mac that makes the transfers very easy.
I have less than 15 apps on my iPhone. I generally like free apps but, as I've said, I found this app does what I needed to do so I was happy to spend the money.

I am in Blurb, trying to upload an album that I have prepared in Adobe ELements 10. To upload I need to navigate in my computer to whatever Adobe folder has the album, but I can't find any Adobe files that way. So I wanted to save the album to
an external drive where I could be sure to find them for the upload
But when I tried to copy the photo album, the dialog box said that the photos will be deleted from the main program. I didn't like the sound of that, so I chose "Backup" which seems to have copied everything from Adobe to my eternal drive, not just the photo album that I want. To make matters worse, but exported folder named for my photo album is not the group of photos that I assembled in Adobe.
How do I upload directly from Adobe the program on my hard drive so I can be sure it is the correct assemblage of photos?The album photos are just the originals; there are no special copies in the album--it's just a list. Select the photos in the album, then go to File>Export as New Files and send the new copies where you want them.

I am trying to build a report in Portal, using the custom report layout. The report displays like so, before I do any customization:

The best way for your case is to use a content folder and customize it whichever way you like.
