Simple Question - Need URGENT Answer!

Would this hard disk work in a PowerBook 1400cs/113 considering that I would divide it into partitions of 8GB and use the left over space for one more partition? And is it the right kind of drive?

I would say no. That looks like a desktop hard drive. The specifications say it's 1 inch tall.

You need an IDE laptop drive with a maximum height of 17mm. Also keep in mind that the mounting screws on most modern drives will be in the wrong place for your mounting tray. There is a company that sells a drive sled with the correct mouning holes for newer drives.

You are correct about partitioning. You need partitions of less than 8.2 GB. If you're running OS 8.6 or later, you don't need to worry about this size limitation.

Copy FLASH to USBFLASH0...Simple Question need answered

I would like to copy all folder/files from flash to usbflash. When I receive a new router to configure, I would like to use my usb-stick to copy everything from flash, including that ccpexp folder with many sub-folders, to my usb. Can someone assist with how to perform or options?

Ah...I tried that several times with nno luck. This should be an easy thing to due. I know someone will tell me to use ftp or tftp but I really don't think I have to if the router has a usb port. Doing files individualy will work, but if a router has many files in flash then a simple COPY command should be enough. Am I missing something?

I've imported a 4 minute track and need to select 30 seconds of it in the middle somewhere. I done it yesterday, it highlighted smaller yellow boxes along the top of the track but i cannot get it to show this time!

I am building an application in which i use some subVI's that I built myself. When I import these subVI's, they have a number with the generic LabVIEW icon, I have a five and a one. I've seen this before and I am just wondering what they represent. Thank you for your time.

I'm trying to write a statement that in the FROM clause, there is a formula, and i would like to assign conditions to this formula in the WHERE Clause
Ex:
SELECT DateValue(FLD_AS_STRING) FROM Table1 WHERE ???
I want the statement to convert the FLD_AS_STRING field (which is in string format) to Date format, and in the same time i want to only view fields that it's FLD_AS_STRING is greater than today's date (after it is converted to Date)?
How can i do that in this statement?

Simple Question, need advice. BOBJ vs. BI

I didn't know where to post this, but I need advice.
I have been working as a SAP BI Developer for past 2 years. I have an opportunity to transition into BOBJ (means I will not be in BI team).
Wanted to know if this is a good career move, but have few questions.
1) Which is easier BOBJ or BI?
2) Which is more in demand and will be for next 10 years?
3) I've heard that there's a very high chance to work from home as a BOBJ Developer compared to BI Developer? True/False?
4) Is pay for either the same?

Right now, it is a mixed bag and give applications a year to be recompiled and optimized - or longer. The transition to Leopard also has taken more than a year to get where it is.

Simple question - need to create a line that moves across the screen

Hello All;
Simple problem - I need to animate a line of a solid color that starts on the right and moves across the screen to the left. I know I can create a layer of a solid color and then animate the scale to sort of make it work but that changes both sides of the line and I need to only change the position of one side.
I know there are probably numerous ways of doing this - what is the easiest and most straightforward. Thanks.

WRT54GX4 question (need fast answer :-) O)

Stupid question, perhaps, but I need to know ASAP if I can use this Router to connect for 2-way traffic with my son's Wireless network about 80-100+ Feet away.
NOT so much a question about the distance, per se, but does the WRT54GX4 HAVE the capability to actually FUNCTION as a "wireless card" (say) does now? (i.e. be able to create a 2-way connection through it's antennas with HIS network and share the sub-T1 he has over at his shop at MY office across the street!
The need is hopefully be able to either use some of the 4 wired Ports locally AND/OR re-radiate to my laptop around MY dinky office. :-)
Forgive my lack of knowledge about the intricacies of these devices, but I grew up feasting on Tubes and RF systems.. :-)))))
I have an external 2.4 GHz YAGI and LM400 coax if needed, and that brings me to another question: What connectors are ON this Router - RP-SMA or RP-TNC (Usual Linksys one)..

A WRT needs a wired internet connection. The radio is per default in root mode. A WRT does not connect to other wireless APs with standard Linksys firmware.
What you want is either a wireless bridge (WET54G) or a more versatile wireless access point (WAP54G). Those support wireless bridging.
The other option if you already have the WRT would be to check out if you can run a 3rd party firmware on the WRT. Those usually add wireless bridging capabilities. Read the wikipedia article on "WRT54G" for details which models exist and some links to various firmware projects. Take a close look at the dd-wrt wiki which is full of useful information in this regard.
For the connectors look in the data sheet or manual.

Are you using iMovie '11 or something prior to that? Something older like iMovie HD 6 even? If it's iMovie '11 you first import all your video clips into the Event Library. Then you highlight just the pieces you want by click in the Event clip itself, you get a yellow outline box that you can stretch to the size of the video clip. Then drag that whole area inside the yellow box up to the top half of the Window where the Project Browser window sits.
Add more clips as need, add titles, transitions, still pictures, music, etc. Then go to the Share Menu and decide what you want to do with it. Send it to the Media Browser lets you make DVDs with it in iDVD. Export Movie will save it to the Desktop if you want to upload it to YouTube.

One SIMPLE, SIMPLE question that the answer seem to be no whre IN PLAIN ENGLISH! What do you have to do to have two of more tabs open at the same time. Just like ANY OTHER BROWSER LETS YOU DO! Ya know....so you can drag and drop things like pics etc.

For Pete's sake. This is not rocket sience. What more details do you want. I want two tabs OPEN at the same time so I can copy from one to the other or drag and drop from one to the other.

You can copy text and hover that selected text with the left mouse button down on another tab on the tab bar until that tab opens and drop the text in a text field in that tab. You need to make sure that that text area is visible because you can't scroll the page. You can also tear off that tab (temporarily) to a new window and resize them to see both windows. Move the tab back to the other window once you are done if you prefer that.

I have an iPod Nano. Very very cool little media unit.
I have itunes on my iMac.
I have a playlist I've been building for my angelic wife.
I've been buying songs from itunes store that go into this list.
QUESTION:
When I plug my ipod into my imac to download the songs, I only want the songs from this playlist on my ipod. I don't want it just randomly grabbing songs from my Library like it does each time. How do i get my ipod Nano to grab just the playlist I created for my wife?
Does the ipod just go for whatever is in your Library, or can I teach it to go for songs just in this one playlist?
If you can answer this, I will give you 200 Karma points to get you out of any mess you think you got yourself in.
(here's another little question: did you know that itunes store doesn't really have all the songs that really matter? Did you know that it only has ONE Jethro Tull song? What's up with that?)

With the iPod connected, go into your iTunes preferences and set it to 'Update Only Selected Playlists'.
Choose the one playlist that you want to sync.
Anything in the playlist will be copied to the iPod. Anything not in the playlist will be removed from the iPod.

There are many artists/labels who do not have licensing deals to sell content through iTMS. I'm sure Apple would stock every song ever created if they could. We can only hope that changes someday.
