Simple SD scenario

Hi Pals,
I just want a basic Business scenario in SD module. Not complicated, simple horizontal Scenario. The Scenario should be only in SD perspective.

Simple and basic scenario in SD is Quatation to Cash
it starts from pre sales activities like
Quatation and follows sales order, Delivery, Invoice and Payment.

Simple XI Scenario

Hi friends ,
I am learning XI and right now working on simple XI scenario for Idoc to IDoc .
I want to send Sales notification from sandbox sap system to ides sap system.I am able to do it in ale but nw want to do it in XI.
In XI, SLD part is done. Also I had created product and SWCV.
Now I am in IR. I had imported the SWCV that I had created.Created new namespace in that , and created new rfc, and am able to import required idoc succesfuly.
but after this, what i have to do I am complete blankk abt that. so please provide me with the steps that I should do after this.

Hi,
As the Idoc structures are imported into PI, You can start of with the creation of Message Mapping and Interface Mapping.
There are few settings which has to be done in the PI and R/3 side.
Settings:
Please follow the below process for configuration:
Pre-requisites for Inbound IDoc to R/3 from PI:
Configuration required at Xi side:
Go to IDX1: configure the port.
Go to IDX2: load the DOC metadata.
Go to SM59: Create RFC destination which points to R3 system this is require in the case where your IDOC is sent to R 3 system,
Configuration required at R3 side:
Maintain Logical System for PI (SALE transaction):
Maintain Partner Profile for XI system(WE20):
Pre-requisites for Outbound IDoc from R/3 to PI:
Configurations required in R/3:
Maintain Logical System (SALE)
Define RFC Destination (SM59) which points to PI system
Maintain Port (WE21)
Maintain partner profile. (WE20):
Maintain Distribution Model (BD64):
To send Idoc to XI you have done ALE settings on both XI and R3 system.
Steps for ALE settings:-
Steps for XI
Step 1)
Goto SM59.
Create new RFC destination of type 3(Abap connection).
Give a suitable name and description.
Give the Ip address of the R3 system.
Give the system number.
Give the gateway host name and gateway service (3300 + system number).
Go to the logon security tab.
Give the lang, client, username and password.
Test connection and remote logon.
Step 2)
Goto IDX1.
Create a new port.
Give the port name.
Give the client number for the R3 system.
Select the created Rfc Destination.
Step 3)
Goto IDX2
Create a new Meta data.
Give the Idoc type.
Select the created port.
Steps for R3.
Step 1)
Goto SM59.
Create new RFC destination of type 3(Abap connection).
Give a suitable name and description.
Give the Ip address of the XI system.
Give the system number.
Give the gateway host name and gateway service (3300 + system number).
Go to the logon security tab.
Give the lang, client, username and password.
Test connection and remote logon.
Step 2)
Goto WE21.
Create a port under transactional RFC.(R3->XI)
Designate the RFC destination created in prev step.
Step 3)
Goto SALE.
Basic settings->Logical Systems->Define logical system.
Create two logical systems(one for XI and the other for R3)
Basic settings->Logical Systems->Assign logical system.
Assign the R3 logical system to respective client.
Step 4)
Goto WE20.
Partner type LS.
Create two partner profile(one for XI the other for R3).
Give the outbound or inbound message type based on the direction.

Problem in simple filetofile scenario with BPM

Hi
I am a starter to XI. I am implementing simple file2file scenario with BPMs.
But I am getting error while looking into SXMB_MONI.
Under "Monitor for Processed XML messages"
Number of XML message Found 3 (which is my input 3 xmls which is fine) but
"Status is RED Flag".
"Error Category: BPE_ADAPTER"
"Error ID: UNKNOWN_MESSAGE".
Please help me out with this problem.

Hi Raj,
When i click PE getting following error:
"Unable to perform action for selected message".
When i double click the row, it takes me to xml message versions where i can RED FLAG for "Call Adapter". In the trace i foudn the below at the end:
<trace level =1 type=system error> error exception return from pipeline processing"</trace>

hello create a thrid party order- save it- generates a Pur req- Create PO and send to vendor thru Outbound IDoc- vendor send u back the confirmation Inbound IDoc- it updates the pur req and then the order is confirmed for delivery- do delivery and Bill the customer.

Simple synchronisation scenario

Simple BPM Scenario

We have a Scenario where 4 files will come with different structures, need to merge all into a single file.
So we created 5 Data types(4 incoming files and 1 outgoing file), 5 Message types and 5 Message Interfaces (Category - Abstract).
How to create Message Mapping(multiple source message types and only single target message type) and Interface Mapping(multiple source interfaces and only single target interface)
Can someone explain with an example ?

See in message mapping , goto Messages tab and click on + select the message type and same as target side also select and add ,
you can add any number of message types and check the message occurrences is must.
Similarly select the Interface Mapping , goto messages tab and add liek above.

Performance In Simple Scenarios

I have done some performance testing to see if asynchronous triggers performs any better than synchronous triggers in a simple audit scenario -- capturing record snapshots at insert, update and delete events to a separate database within the same instance of SQL Server.
Synchronous triggers performed 50% better than asynchronous triggers; this was with conversation reuse and the receive queue activation turned off, so the poor performance was just in the act of forming and sending the message, not receiving and processing. This was not necessarily surprising to me, and yet I have to wonder under what conditions would we see real performance benefits for audit scenarios.
I am interested if anyone has done similar testing, and if they received similar or different results. If anyone had conditions where asynchronous triggers pulled ahead for audit scenarios, I would really like to hear back from them. I invite any comments or suggestions for better performance.

Simple IDoc to IDoc scenario with SAP PI

I would like to implement a very simple IDoc_to_IDoc scenario.
i have two clients in SAP ECC 6.0 and would like to send/receive IDoc (e.g. material) with SAP PI.
Can some one please give exact the technical steps(tcodes, action in XI Tools) to realize this issue?
Any helpful information/documentation/SDN blogs will be very appreciated.

File content conversion simple scenario

I am trying FCC for first time. I had created one simple file scenario without using FCC to which I had to provide input in XML format.
like this:

If you want the output file in comma separated pattern for the incoming xml file,then you can go for the below mentioned fcc parameters in your receiver channel.

Simple value mapping scenario

Hi,
I have a simple mapping scenario but cant find the right functoids to use. I have a simple "if else" functoid
If sender has the value 10 then the equal functoid is true and maps the value Yes. If sender is anything else but true then value mapping is No.
But now I want to add a extra value. So if sender is 10 or 20 then its Yes.
How can I achieve this?

If you want to use functiod to have If-then-else, then this can be archived using the comboination of Equal, Logical Or and Value Mapping fucntiod.

Track po in sales order in not make to order scenario

Hi,
There is a simple sales scenario.1. create a sales order -availability check- if there are enough stock in the storage location then the rest of the process is possible (creating outbound ,...) otherwise, the MRP should be run. 2- convert the automate PR from MRP to PO. 3- goods receipt. 4- outbound delivery and goods issue 5- invoice. This scenario with the following standard setting is okay: document type: OR, item category: TAN, schedule line: CP, requirement type: 041. But I need to track each PO number from sales order number, which is not possible with this setting and by setting requirement type as Make to order such as KEL, it converts each sales order to MRP without considering its stock in storage location. I mean it creates PR for each sales order after running MRP.

First of all, could you please let us know the business background of this scenario.
SAP has formalized these scenarios to meet the business requirements only. But in your case, you wanted to blend two major scenarios and which to my knowledge not possible with the standard straight forward approach. However, it might be possible with some manual effort - may be by exploring the options of fetching the data from various tables.

BPM Scenarios not working

Hi All
I have done a simple file_2_file and SOAP_RFC scenario. Both of them are perfectly working fine.
Now I did a simple file_2_file scenario using BPM and this doesn't work. When I go the transaction SXI_CACHE, it shows as "Cache contents are obsolete". Also, in SXMB_MONI, when I see the messages, only sender interface is there and no part of the BPM messages are shown.
I am sure that my BPM configuration is perfect as its a simple example which I implemented from one of blogs.
Do I have make any settings for a BPM scenario to work? Please help.

I already implemented your blog. After activating all the objects, I just tried SXI_CACHE, it says the "Cache contents are obsolete". Also, my previous scenarios doesn't work. Now If I take out the BPM scenario, I mean if I delete the scenario, then the previous scenarios start working fine.
Any solution please?
