Simple, simple instructions please

I am not techinical so please be very clear with any instructions. Two months ago I received my new corporate Blackberry Z10 and my Blackberry Bold was retired to a drawer. I've just realized that there are photographs on my Blackberry Bold that would be fantastic for a report that I'm doing and now I can't get the Blackberry Bold to turn on even after I've charged the device. Any suggestions?

Hi
If the pictures were contained on a media card in your Bold, you could remove it,  and insert it into the Z10 in order to see your photos.
If the pictures were saved to the Bold device memory though you will need to get the device turned on in order to copy the photos. Do you have access to another battery you can use for testing?

  • Wife and I have separate iOS devices, separate iCloud accounts. But we both want to access mail from the iMac (OSX Mavericks.) Currently only my mail is linked. How to configure so that wife's iCloud mail can be seen  on iMac. Simple and explicit please!

    My wife and I have separate ioS devices (iOS7)  with separate iCloud accounts.
    So we access our mail separately on these devices. But we would both like to be able to access mail at the desk top (iMac, OSX Mavericks). Currently only my mail is linked. How do I set up the Mac to allow it to access my wife's e-mail too, either in the same mail inbox or a separate one. Simple instructions please!

    If Mail in Mavericks is the same as earlier versions you can select accounts in the sidebar, so that you can either display the inboxes for individual accounts, or the contents of all the account inboxes. (If the accounts don't show click the disclosure triangle next to 'INBOX'). The layout may have changed since the version I have - Snow Leopard - but you should be able to do the same thing.

  • Simple instructions please to update N95

    Can someone please give me some SIMPLE instructions how to update the firmware on an N95. I have gone round and round and round in circles on the website to no avail. I appeared to have accidentally downloaded an Updater (it suddenly popped up to be saved) and I have installed that. I then searched for hours for the actual firmware update itself to no avail. I kept ending up on what seems to be a 5 step set of instructions but nothing to say where the software file is.
    Then I thought the Updater may be set up to find the file but all that produced when I installed it was the message "Cannot connect to NOL server" (whatever that is).
    I cannot believe that I am so dumb that I cannot do what should be such as simple process. I tried to find something through the phone itself but that drew a blank too. Is there a file somewhere on the site to download that is the actual update? if not how do I do it?

    Hi alches,
    the process should be pretty simple - you have downloaded a pc program called Nokia Software Updater which then takes you through the actual update process. But there seems to be something wrong with the pc software you are using.
    Can you let us know which version of the Nokia Software Updater you are using?
    Did you just download it from a Nokia website or did you have it previously installed and the software just updated itself to a new version?
    And which Nokia website did you download it from?

  • Is there a way that safari can remember passwords?  I'm pretty uncool so I will need real simple instructions, please

    I can't seem to get safari to remember passwords.  I'm not too cool so I need some pretty basic help.  Thanks

    From your Safari menu bar (top of your screen) click Safari then from the drop down menu click Preferences.
    Select the Autofill tab.
    Make sure User names and passwords is selected.
    If you are having problems with specific sites where Safari won't "remember" a password, open the Keychain Access app.
    That's located in /Applications/Utilities
    Select Passwords on the left. Type in the name of the website where Safari isn't storing the password then right or control click that keychain then click Delete.
    Go back to Safari, go to the website, login with your user name and password. You should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain. Click Yes.
    Also, your profile indicates you are running v10.5.7. If that is correct, you need to update your system software including Safari.
    Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click:  Software Update...
    Restart your Mac after the updates are installed.

  • JMS: simple program (urgent please)

    I am quite new with the JMS. I am trying to have a simple program running in order to start from it towards the application I want to build.
    I tried to run the sample program below:

    I realize that the problem is in the jndi setup. But, the problem is that I do not know where to go now and what should I do. I do not know how can I get the jndi.properties file and where and how to put it.
    Please, kindly advise from your experience. I would appreciate clear steps to have this program running properly. Otherwise, if you do have a sample program that is already running, please provide it to me.

    It is mentioned in SUN JMS tutorial that "When you use the J2EE SDK 1.3.1, your JMS provider is the SDK. " So I am using that and I did the follwoing:
    --start the J2EE server as follows:
    j2ee -verbose
    Then I created the adminstrated object:
    j2eeadmin -addJmsDestination MyTopic topic
    But still getting this error:
    javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial
    So now where is the error?
    Thank you in advance

  • I need help with some simple code! Please read!

    hi everyone.
    I'm having problems with a piece of code, and i'd be extremely greatful if somebody could give me a hand with it. I'm totally new to java and have to make a program for my university degree, but i'm finding it extremely difficult, mainly due to my total lack of apptitude for this type of thing. I know this is easy stuff, but the books I have are no use so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I have to write a program which uses two class files. I want one with the code to produce a simple button, and one to invoke it several times at different locations. I decided to write the program as one class file at first, and thought i'd be able to split it up at later. The program works fine when it is one class file. My book said that to split the two classes up, all i needed to do was change the second class to public, although this seems to not work at all. I'm at my wits end on this, and if anyone could correct my code I'd be eternally greatful.
    Here is the first class... (sorry about the lack of indentation)
    >>>>>>>>>>
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.applet.Applet;
    public class Phone extends Applet {
    private Image image;
    public void init() {
    setLayout(null);
    image = getImage(getDocumentBase(), "phone.jpg");}
    public void paint (Graphics g) {
    g.drawImage(image, 0, 0, 700, 530, this);
    PhoneButton myButton;
    myButton = new PhoneButton(20,20);
    >>>>>>>
    This is the second class....
    >>>>>>>
    public class PhoneButton {
    private Button butt;
    public PhoneButton(int a, int b, int c){
    setLayout(null);
    butt = new Button();
    butt.setBounds(a,b,20,20);
    add(butt);
    >>>>>>>>
    My compiler generates errors relating to Button, but i can't do anything to please it.
    Also, could anyone give me some pointers on how to add a different number or symbol to each button. That is what I added int c for, but i couldn't get it to work.
    Cheers in advance.
    Michael Morgan

    I found that there are 5 error in your code.
    1. You should import the "java.awt" package to the PhoneButton.java
    2. The PhoneButton is not a kind of Component. You cannot not add it to the Phone class
    3. the myButton = new PhoneButton(20, 20) does not provide enough parameters to create PhoneButton
    4. You cannot add a Button to a PhoneButton. Becaue the PhoneButton is not a kind of Container
    Fixed code:
    import java.awt.*;
    public class PhoneButton extends Button {
    public PhoneButton(int a, int b, int c){
         setBounds(a, b, 20, 20);
         setLabel(String.valueOf(c));

    import java.awt.*;
    import java.applet.Applet;
    public class Phone extends Applet {
    private Image image;
    public void init() {
    setLayout(null);
    image = getImage(getDocumentBase(), "phone.jpg");}
    public void paint (Graphics g) {
    g.drawImage(image, 0, 0, 700, 530, this);

  • Preloader is ruining my project... need something simple and easy, please.

    I have tried for weeks now to find  a simple way to add my logo and maybe text that says "now loading -  please wait, etc" to the preloader, however, I have yet to find a SIMPLE way to do this.  Every tutorial I have found shows how to add actionscript, or a moving  progress bar with percentages, etc. These tutorials are not for  designers, nor are they simple for beginers. If it truly is that  difficult to add a simple logo (image) and maybe text to the default  flex preloading screen (doesnt have to have the progess bar), I do not  see the benefit to Catalyst/Flash Builder for designers who care about the "first  appearance" of their project.
    PLEASE, if anyone can walk  me through the simple way of adding an image, video, text, or whatever  to the loading screen that would be great. As for now I have many hours  of work sitting standby because the loading page and false hope in  catalyst. SURELY there must a solution.
    I REALLY appreciate any help!
    Thanks for listening.

    Unfortunately preoloaders are tough issue. I am sure if you work through carefully one of those tutorials you would be able to do. But, as an alternate solution, you could contact a local Flash or Flex user group and see if a member there could help you out. Or even an online group. Just be aware, once it is taken into Flash Builder (which it will be), it can not be reopened in Flash Catalyst.
    Good luck!
    Chris
