Simplest was to make a calendar

I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, so don't flame me if I'm wrong.
How can I make a simple calendar using iWorks '08 or iLife '08 with a photo, a title, and the actual calendar.
I am not an artist, so if this is simple, don't laugh to long before you help me
Apple //GS

Check iWork Community,. I saw a couple of user-contributed calendar templates there.

What iPhoto version is compatible with Lion OSX 10.7.5 and will it let me make photo calendars?
I have just upgraded from Leopard to Lion (via Snow Leopard) because I could no longer order photo calendars with iphoto 7.1.5.  However, I still have iphoto 7.1.5 and need to upgrade this.  From the App store it looks as though I cannot get iphoto 9.5.1 due to the incompatibility with Lion.  I was recemmended not to upgrade beyond Lion due to the age of my iMac computer (2008 version) by Stormfront staff.
What is the best iphoto to upgrade to and how do I do this e.g. iLife '09 or '11, or are there any other 'stand-alone' versions of iphoto that would be compatible?  How do I know whether my computer is capable of upgrading to Mountain Lion?  I definitely want to be able to make photo calendars, books and cards.
    Thanks

iPhoto '09 or '11 - purchase an iLife '09 or '11 DVD (amazon or eBay are potential sources) and install iPhoto and update to the latest version for your OS

  • Trying to make a calendar and every picture is coming up too low of quality

I am trying to make a calendar for my mom's Christmas present, but every picture I put in the calendar to be the month's picture has a caution box in the corner and says "This photo may print at too low of quality". I just don't know if this is normal with using your own pictures but I don't want to spend the money on this calendar and then it not turn out very good. Please let me know what you have done or if there is anything to do.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What are the pixel dimensions of the pics you're trying to use?
I ran a test on a calendar using the picture theme and for a full page photo to avoid the warning triangle it must be approximately 1535 px x 1181 px or roughly 120 dpi.
You'll have to decide how far below that level those pictures are and decide if it's worth the gamble. Or use layouts which have more photos per page and thus require smaller sizes.

  • Can i make a calendar in canada and send it via apple uk to someone in england?

I'm trying to make a calendar in cnaada through iPhoto and was wondering if it was possible to have it printed and sent out to the UK from the UK?

I do not think so unless you have a UK credit card - if you have iPhoto '11 you can change the print product country to the UK - you can always give it a try

  • Can I make a calendar in iPhoto '09 using my Aperture 3.0 library?

I've just doanloaded a trial of Aperture 3 and am generally very impressed. I decided I wanted to make a wall calendar, which is not supported but it says somewhere you can work from your Aperture library from within iPhoto. Is this only supported in iPhoto 11, or in 09 too? (I only have iPhoto 09)
When I click on the 'Show Aperture Library' in iPhoto, I get the popup with 'loading images' but nothign actually happens?
Can anyone advise? If I cna't use iPhoto to make teh calendar is there a way of easily getting out my chosen images from Aperture?

I don't really know.  Make sure you have turned on "Share Previews with iWork and iLife".  This is found at "Aperture→Preferences→Previews".
My suggestion, however, is that you upgrade to the most recent version of iPhoto.  The upgrade is $15 US at the App Store -- this seems worth it alone for a calendar.  The most recent upgrade should provide much better integration with other Apple products.
It is always easy to "get your Images out of Aperture".  Select the Images that you want to use with other programs, and run "File→Export Versions".  You will be presented with a dialog box from which you select an Export Preset.  The Preset determines the settings used to create your new files.  These Presets can be seen and edited via "Aperture→Presets→Image Export".

how can i make a calendar in dreamweaver cs5.5 ?

    Hi,
in addition to gramp's hint, you could have a look here. You could e.g. use directly (Google) or download and integrate into your DW files.:

On the other hand you can find some more by using Google itself, individually specific to your requirements and your preferences.

  • Can I make a calendar with Australian dates?

I'm in Canada and want to make a calendar using iPhoto for my friends in Australia. How can I do this so that the dates correspond to Australian holidays, etc instead of Canadian dates.

Yes, you can.  Click on a page and then on the Options button at the bottom.  Next click on the Calendar Settings button that appears in the tray.  Lastly select the country of choice for the holidays:

  • Who's Idea was to make the make Command-D duplicate not Deselect?

O my goodness who's Idea was to make the make Command-D duplicate not Deselect?  Truly an aggravation for Mac Keyboard Shortcut lovers.
Especially if you have used Command-D a Mac with all other programs for years.
Is some one trying to make my Mac Crash?
How about a Keyboard shortcut and menu like photoshop CS2 option?

It is already a feature request and a promise for the future to have the Bridge have both keyboard shortcuts customizable and to have the Bridge in general more customizable.

  • MacBook Pro (OS X 10.9.1) calendar continues to "connect to server" and will not allow shut down or restart. Force quit worked. How can I make this calendar "behave"?

MacBook Pro (OS X 10.9.1) calendar continues to "connect to server" and will not allow shut down or restart. Force quit worked. How can I make this calendar usable? The problem began after I updated to Maverick.

babowa, it seems like it is using Fuse & NTFS, so I don't think it's the classic WD + 10.9 mess, but extra WD tools & drivers can still break things MtTran.
MrTran, if you must use unsupported disk formats on your Mac you must also consider actually paying the developers that made the trial software.
It's probably a good idea to follow the developers removal instructions, reboot & then install one tool at a time.
MacFuse, FuseOSX, NTFS-3G are all likley to confict if you run older versions so you need to be sure you are using the latest version. I can't remeber which one depends on the other, so you will need to read the manuals.
When the disk is readable copy the data to another disk. You could probably do this from a Linux distro or Windows if OS X won't do it.
If you insist on only using the trial versions you will need to reinstall Mac OS, copy data off this disk & reformat it.
Is there any good reason for not using the Mac HFS extended format?

  • Which program to use to make a calendar?

I'm trying to use a program to make a calendar.  Just your everyday basic calendar that I can use on my laptop for events.  Not a fancy lets put dogs and snowfall on a calendar to hand in my kitchen.  I used to use Microsoft Word when I had an HP but I upgraded to a Macbook Pro.
I have Pages, Numbers and Keynote and I thought that I'd be able to find a calendar template somewhere but I can't find one.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Mac comes with an application called Calendar pre-installed.
It's icon is in the dock, detailed with white on red month and black on white day.
    Best.

The Apple iTunes webpage for iPhoto for iOS has no mention of calendars. iPhoto for iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation), iPad Wi-Fi + 4G, iPad (4th generation), iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular (4th generation), iPad mini and iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular on the iTunes App Store
AFAIK is only available in the iPhoto for OS X on the Mac.
