Sims 2 in os 10.4 help please
not sure if this the right forum for this question or not, but maybe you sims 2 players can help me.
i've downloaded some skins and i read that i should put them in my sims download folder but i can't find it. does anyone know where it is or where i should put downloads?
also i read pc downloads work fine on the mac. is this true?

I have an issue with the phone not reading the SIM card. I have cancelled my contract to go with straight talk and the sim card keeps saying " no SIM card. Please insert a SIM with no LOCK pin. " but the phone will not read AT&T SIM or Straight Talk SIM. The phone is unlocked with AT&T. Please HELP.
I Am sure it's unlocked. I have spoken with Apple for the past 4 days. The Tech went into my computer and helped me with the restore.... This is crazy.... Now the last Apple guy I spoke to told me I may need to have it sent in and it would cost a lot of money.. It is set up as new now but when I try to set the Phone up... New SIM card = huge email headache HELP PLEASE
A couple days ago the sim card in my phone went bad. The friendly folks at my phone company replaced it with a new one free of charge (love that) while laughing that my old card hadn't even had 3G on it. It's nice to have the phone working again but I've got a problem I can't seem to solve. Phone company said I had to contact BlackBerry, but I can't even figure out who I should be talking to on the endless menu options the voicemail has.
When I got this phone 3 years ago it was set up with an email address [email protected] Here's the problem. When they replaced the SIM card the phone forgot the password for that email account...and since I hadn't had to remember it even once over the years I've NO idea what it was. I tried all my logical usual ones to no avail. Is there somewhere I can go to reset the password? Everything I've found just has options for adding the email to the phone and require me to already have the password. I'm at a loss and desperately need access to that email.
Does anyone out there know how to either recover or reset the password?I always love when the phone company says you have to contact BlackBerry. They're actually your avenue to contacting BlackBerry.
Let's hope that it was just the person that you were talking to that didn't know what to do. What you're going to want to do is call their tech support again and explain the situation to the person you speak to. As the carrier, they should have the correct tools to do this for you, but if they are unable, ask them to escalate the call to the next tier of support. These guys should have the tools, but if they don't they should be able to escalate you directly to RIM at that point.
If you have any problems with that, let us know again and we can see if there is another way we might be able to get you some assistance.

Do you have access to another computer with Numbers installed?
If so, do your files open properly on that computer?
If so, then the problem is your computer itself, which is best posted in a different forum. -

2 errors: "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable" and the sim says "searching" while iTunes says there is "No Sim installed" - but of course, there is! Any help please??

Thank you for the note - I have seen similar replies on other posting errors and I see how that could make sense. The thing is, my iPhone is not jailbroken - it is from an authorized distributor. However, when I told them about the "no service" problem on the sim, they were unable to assist. Then my phone messaged that an itunes restore was required - so I did that, several times, to the error message now noted on my post. I wonder if there is some other way to over-write this message? i have given the imei number to my old carrier in the uk to have the phone unlock 4 weeks later its still not unlocked.

i bought a iphone 3gs off a family member and its on o2 i activated the o2 sim in a bb because o2 support advised me to activate on different phone as mine will not sync it says sim is not installed to iphone on itunes can anyone help please ...?

I am in turkey. Just bought a new Turkcell SIM card for my iphone3gs. When I try to connect to Turkcell network, it says that the selected network is restricted however the sim works in ordinary phones. Can you help please.
If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. The only contacts I now have are from my Exchange account. Any help please. I tried "Import from SIM" but as all my contacts were on MobileMe, they're all gone!!
that happens for people who used icloud for everything but contacts. When they updated and went through initial
set up, signing into cloud enabled everything including cloud for contacts. Since they had zero contacts in cloud, cloud cleaned out their contacts, but synced everything else that icloud has, like calendars, reminders etc. If those contacts were never backed up anywhere - they gone. If there is back up in cloud, it needs to be restored.
Contacts sync in the cloud need to be turned off, right after restore. -
I upgraded the iphone4(gevey sim) to ios5 using itune. I mean without preserving baseband. Now i couldn't activate the phone...Any help please :((

Was your BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone originally purchased from your current mobile service provider? If it was, then I recommend contacting them to verify that you have the correct services enabled.
If it wasn't purchased from them initially, was it unlocked for use on another wireless network? You may want to verify this with your point of purchase. This KB article should provide more information on this. "Changing the service provider or network" http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB03889 Thanks.

for the whole day my network has been 'Searching...'
i have tried airplane mode on and off, turning my phone on and off and network reset and taking sim in and out.
so i backed up my phone and restored to factory settings as i don't think i did the option of choosing manually select a carrier.
my network is still 'searching...' and it won't let my wifi to allow me to activate my iphone. i have tried to connect to itunes and it still won;t work.
i keep getting a message about no activation server.
this is a new iphone. i got it replaced on saturday.

If this is a new iPhone then you will have free access, as all iPhones come with it, to Apple support. I would have them take care of an issue like this.

My iPhone 4 although fully charges has just switched itself off and won't turn back on again. I've tried taking the sim card out but nothing happens. I'm just coming to the end of a 2 year contract and never had any problems with it before. Help please.
