Sims 3 Help!! Can't Make movie!! Sims 3 Support Online won't help!!

So, I have recently purchased the Sims 3, a fabulous and detailed game but I'm having a bit of a technical problem. In the game, I recorded a clip and went to the Uploads like the Sims 3 handbook said. I uploaded it and went to the Sims 3 website to make a movie. Ah yes, before that, I tried to play the clip on my Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard but it wouldn't play on Quicktime Player. Anyway, I went to the Sims 3 website and looked for my clip. It wasn't there. None of my recorded shots were there. So I went on the README that came with the Sims 3 file and it said that the downloadable product "Perian" would solve the Quicktime problem. I don't think it made much of a difference anyway. Can someone help? *How can I get my clips online or should I use a another-in-game camera. If you have the name of one, do tell.*

I do not know how Mac OS 10.7.3 handles files, but if the PC-formatted (1.44 MB HD) floppy disk is recognised, and if the system allows you to copy a file to this floppy, that method ought to work for transfers. But try to find a way of keeping each downloaded file as .bin (do not decode/decompress any files on the Mac OS 10.7.3 MacBook).
Alternatively, use a Windows PC for downloads. Copy the (unaltered) MacBinary (.bin) files to 1.44 MB PC-formatted HD floppies for transfers to the PowerBook 190cs.
Apparently, the PC Exchange control panel is active on the PB 190cs. Once at the PB 190cs, use StuffIt Expander to decode the .bin (drag the file onto the StuffIt Expander program icon, or open it from inside the utility; do not double-click on the file).
Remember, all nineteen decoded files (one .smi and eighteen .part) have to be present in one single folder on the PB 190cs hard disk before you can mount the entire large disk image.
In order to test if the transfer procedure works, it is easier to use any small application from Apple's software archive. For example, try to download and transfer Disk First Aid 7.2.2. If everything is OK, you should be able to launch that program on the PB 190cs.

Can't make movies with iphone camera?

OK, I might be dumb, but I just got an iphone yesterday and seems pretty cool, but doesn't seem to have the ability to make movies with the built in camera. Am I just stupid or what? Every other crap phone I have had for the last 5 years could make movies so I just assumed an iphone would make them too and even better ones with the 2 megapixel camera. Am I missing something or is this some kind of astonishing lack of feature? I don't seem to see anyone else complaining. Maybe I am just out in my own left field or something. Wouldn't one just assume an iphone could make a movie like all the other cell phones? Maybe I am just dumb and missing something? I hope so. It has got to just be a software thing. If Apple can't manage it for some reason, maybe a 3 party developer will figure it out for them. Any help?

Well, your comments sort of prove your point as well as one of mine. I guess I am one of few people who would really like to have the video feature even if it is compromised in quality. But, honestly so is the rest what the iphone does. It is by far not the best computer or internet connection (a desk top or laptop is), nor the best phone (a land line is), nor the best music player nor the best camera either. It is not the best at any of that, just obviously a really good almost-all-in-one product compared to other relatively similar camera phones products. So, yes, I guess I am dumb as I suspected and should have known better and not assumed anything - my fault entirely. But, since I hadn't heard any serious negative feedback about the lack of a video function or any other real negative feedback actually, I just assumed it had it. But, the reality is I guess most other people just don't care too much about it. Lesson learned. I don't care about the money and I am not interested in trying to get my money back or resell it. It is still a good product for what it is. I am just disappointed in the lack of what I would think was a pretty basic and common feature on other camera phones. How much extra could it have cost and what could it have hurt to have it? I am not sure what a good reason for not having it is, but maybe there is one, who knows. Anyway, I did fill in a feedback on the apple site, but I guess that is about all I can do for now.

Can I make movies out of photos and add voice over as well as text?

There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:

Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!

How can you make movie clips partially visible?

Okay, so this sounds simple, but I'm tottally lost... I'm a thirteen year old boy that has been using Flash for a little over 3 years. I program video games. I recently embarked on a game where one of the modes is to be split screen, player one gets the top half, player 2 the bottom. The promblem with this is that my game is based off of a moving background, where inorder to keep the main character centered the background moves instead of them. Becsause of this,when setting up split screen, the screen on the upper layer takes over the bottom because there would be more showing then there would be in the game: Parts would be off screen. I was wondering if there was anyway that using hitTest(s) (or some other method) you could make a movie clip partially visible/ invisible. I know the code for making something invisible when touching something else. But I was wondering if there was a way to make only the part of the movie clip touching another movie (it would have its alpha turned off... let's say it's a hitBox) or only the part of the movie clip touching the hitBox visible, invisible. Another way of looking at this is that I want a movie clip to be a small box, but inside I want their to be a huge picture. I want to make it so that when you move the picture different parts are viewable in this little box. And to make this as clear as I can... : I want to make a circle that I'll call the magnifying glass. I want to make an invisible picture that can be moved using code (I know that part). I want it so that when part of the picture is under the magnifying glass it's visible, not the hole thing, jus that circular area. Another reason I'd like to have this promblem solved is for a moving water effect. I want to make a movie clip and tween showing a square of rushing water, but without putting anything over parts of it (other than a hitBox) I want to make only a squiggly line of that water box visible. Thanks... but I think you've misunderstood my question. I suppose magnifying glass wouldn't be the right word... I just wanted to explain that I want only the part of one mc touching another mc to be visible. I hope this isn't confusing. I have no need to enlarge an image. How can I make move podcasts to the same folder?

I want my "RadioLab" and "This American Life" audio podcasts to show up in the same folder. I want this because when I plug my iPod into my car radio the next button in my car stereo will advance to the next iPod cast of the series, but it will not advance to the next series, for example it will advance through all the RadioLab podcasts, but when it gets to the end it jumps back to the begining, it will not advance to the This Anerucan Life series.

You can make a smart playlist containing episodes of both series and play from that. Podcasts are linked together by the URL they are served from so merging ongoing series isn't really practical.

Can't make payment by phone or online

I have been trying ro make a payment today on my account. By phone it says cannot be processed and unfortunately we cannot connect you call. I have tried customer service multiple times with the same cannot connect call. I have gone online to pay and on the my verizon app with a message saying that payment cannot be proccessed call customer service. I have tried to make a payment since 9am 9\11\2014.
On a side note this #888-294-0804 is the Verizon customer service that the online payment told me to call. When I called it sounded like a false call. Not sure if this is what you guys normally do but it seems rather shiesty.

That's very close to the pre-paid customer service # - 888-294-6804 You can call, then options 1 for English, the 4,6,4 to get a real person to talk to.

Trex will index whatever is under the datasource of the index.
This means you can't restrict it to <b>index</b> only a part of the sub-tree according to meta-data.
You can, however, include meta-data in your queries, and <b>search</b> for only "online" documents.
For that, you need to mark your predefined property (online/offline) as "Indexable".

What kind of device? Only hard drives installed inside of the computer can have their S.M.A.R.T. information read by the computer.

Can't make a slideshow with iPhoto. Won't play and export Slideshow is gray

I'm trying to export an album to a slideshow in iPhoto '09 and cannot. Whenever I select the "Slideshow" option, it turns gray like in a click and hold, but stays gray and the the box never flips over to Slideshow.
Also, when I click the slideshow button at the bottom of an event or album, it just sits there. The program doesn't freeze, but it doesn't start a slideshow. Under the "File" menu, "Close Window" is my only selectable option. When I select it, the screen fades to black, comes back, and then closes the program.
Has anyone else come across this problem and (preferably) come across a solution?

First try the easy fix: delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, launch iPhoto and try again.

Same exact thing happened to me, I restarted my
Phone and it didn't work, I took my girlfriends earing and took out the SIM card slot and put it back in, and wham it worked. Hope this helps

If the carrier cannot help you, then I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store to have the hardware checked. I really do not believe it is the hardware.
You could try a restore before going to the Apple Store. Make sure you have a backup of the phone and restore the device as new. After activation is complete, see if you can make a call. If it is possible, then restore your backup to recover your content and test again. If it fails, then it is a problem with your backup. If neither works, and the carrier cannot help, then make the appointment.

That's not how unlocking an iPhone works.
The carrier the phone is locked to submits a request to Apple, wh updates their database. When that is complete, you restore the phone with iTunes to process the unlock.
