Simulate campaign optimization

Dear gurus,
Simulate campaign optimization (SAP CRM) You can simulate campaign optimization by creating decision nodes.
what is the simulate campaign optimization and how to create decision nodes in marketing.
with Regards,
prakesh

Hi Prakash,
In case of marketing campaign, Nodes and Rule modular are used in Campaign Automation scenario,
Link Nodes are used to create link/connection between two transaction i.e. Campaign and its elements
Rule modular are used to create rule on the basis of templates such as Segment, Survey etc. for followup steps.
u can get detail idea about Campaign Automation see below links:

  • Campaign Optimization using RFM Analysis

    I'm interested in the tools offered by BI for the <i>RFM Marketing Analysis</i> (Recency, Frequency, Monetary Value Analysis). I've read this information:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/c5/bd493b13bab710e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/d3/11b71b8182ed4995eaad3dc644c771/frameset.htm
    I understand that the all process needs a CRM deployment as well as BI. However I'm wondering if this kind of scenario can be implemented without a full CRM installation. In particular I'd need to use an Internet Sales - BI landscape.
    When calculating the Response Rate, I have to determine the <i>Addressed Business Partners</i>. One way to provide this data is using the ODS object <i>Campaign/Target Group/Business partner Assignements</i>
    (<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/36/df333bf1047532e10000000a114084/content.htm">0CRM_TGCT</a>). This object is filled by data from the CRM application. Is it possible to take data from Internet Sales instead?
    Otherwise, can you briefly explain the <b>Intelligent Web Analytics</b> feature of Internet Sales? I know it requires BI. How are the two application integrated?
    At http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/crm/internetsales/featuresfunctions/index.epx I read:
    <i>Take advantage of a broad range of Web analytics that enable you to track online sales, capture customer behavior, analyze Web site metrics, and improve online sales performance.</i>
    What kind of <i>customer behavior</i> characterization is offered by these Web analytics?
    Cheers, Davide

    The PP/DS Optimiser has quite a few restrictions associated with it, and can cause unpredictable results if any of these restrictions are met. See SAP Note 712066 for full details as I am not sure of the exact conditions you are trying to optimise. The key one may be:
    The campaign optimization is based on the bottleneck resources. There must be no direct or indirect time link (in the form of constraints or material dependencies) between the operations or orders that are planned on the bottleneck resources. In particular, bottleneck resources may be used only once in the production flow.
    Hope this helps

  • Alternate for Outreach and Campaign Optimizer

    Hi,
    I don't find Campaign optimizer and Outreach in ATG10.2 version. Looks like they are not supported anymore. My question is whatz Oracle's recommmendation for customers that implement ATG and looking for Campaign management, A/B testing functionality ?

    Starting with the Oracle ATG Web Commerce version 10.2 release, Oracle will no longer include new versions of the following product modules in Oracle ATG product releases:
    • Oracle ATG Campaign Optimizer
    • Oracle ATG Outreach
    • Oracle ATG Knowledge Manager
    • Oracle ATG Knowledge Manager Self-Service
    The final released and supported version for each of these products is Oracle ATG version 10.1.2.  These products will continue to be supported per Oracle's Lifetime Support Matrix for ATG version 10.x, with Premier Support expiring on December 31, 2015.   Extended Support will not be available for these products.

  • Campaign Optimization

    Hi,
    Has anyone have experience in carrying out campaign optimization.
    I am trying to carryout campaign optimization, but system comes up with a error message stating that my orders have predecessor, successor or pegging relationships between them. It appears to me as though system picks up two orders randomly, because each time I carry out the campaing system comes up with different orders. However, I have checked the master data settings and does not have any relationship maintained between PPM of these orders.
    If I carryout campaign planning using the steps PP/DS Optimization, then create campaign, create set-up and clean out orders, it works (because optimization is done for set-up times and costs). But however, when I try to optimize the storage costs using campaign optimization it results in the above mentioned error and optimization stops without any result.
    Has anyone come across this situation. Please provide guidance.
    Warm regards,
    Prem

  • Campaign optimizer deprecated in ATG10.2 web commerce

    Hi
    How can i achieve the functionality of campaign optimizer 10.1.2 (9.4 or 10.0.3) in ATG10.2.
    Is there anyway to migrate the older versions of campaign optimizer to the latest ATG 10.2 version.
    or Is there any alternative tools to achieve the functionality of the campaign optimizer in ATG10.2.

    Oracle has many products and it isn't always clear which ones are best suited to fulfill your needs. You may want to bring this question to your sales representative as they are better versed in the different Oracle products and their capabilities. They can work with you to identify which ones will work best for your business requirements.
    For example as a replacement for Outreach you may want to look at Eloqua.

  • Clean out order is getting overloaded on the resource after optimization

    Hello Folks,
    I am using campaign optimization and after the campaign optimization is achieved by the optimizer the clean out order will be introduced. The clean out is overlapping with the actual operation on the resource.
    The resources used are finite resources and alert is getting generated stating that the resource is overloaded.
    The clean out order is expected to be sequenced correctly after the actual operation.
    Kindly let me know if anybody has faced this issue and have a solution for it.
    Let me know if you need any other details.
    Best Regards.
    Roopesh

    Hello Folks,
    This issue is solved.
    Maintain the production time of the clean out order as the setup transition time  among the same group in set up matrix, so basically after the number of charges defined in the campaign profile the optimizer will consider the time mentioned in the matrix and will create the space to fit the clean out order.
    Regards,

  • Campaign Planning:  wrong campaign description.

    Dear Experts,
    I am working in a PPDS project for a process industry company, company production highly depends on materials allergens, changeovers between materials with different allergens is very time-costing and moreover company needs to ensure that materials does not get  any others allergens as it could be dangerous for the customer.
    Company wants to visualize allergens for each operation on DSPB and also on order list. Each allergen is a setup group  and I am using Campaign Planning (after Optimizer) to make it more visual, and also take profit of the campaign alerts. Then campaig descriptions should provide information on Order List (I can add a column in the layout cmpgn descript), however campaigns are getting the description from the first material within the campaign and not the campaign description from the campaign profile (customizing).
    -Can anybody help with the description issue? I think it should show the campaign description from the campaign profile, it does take the color from the profile but not the description!
    - Do you think it is a good solution? Suggestions are welcome!
    Thanks in advance!
    Carlos

    Hi Datta Kadam,
    I have been checking the Campaign Badis. It seems that the BADI "Assign Campaign Description after Optimization" -SAPAPO/PCM01_TXTOPT is only intended for when campaigns have been created through Campaign Optimization and it is not my case.
    What about the BADI "Change Respresentation of Campaign Bars" - /SAPAPO/PCM04_PT_PRS?
    In the standard system, the campaign bars displayed in the resource chart of the DSPB are labelled with info: the APO campaign number, short text, and status.
    We can use this BADI tooverride this standard setting and tailor the label for the campaign bar according to our own criteria. Any type of information can be displayed. In addition,we an override the campaign color and status-dependent hatches.
    My requirement is to see in the campaign description, per example on the receipts view transaction or on the DSPB, the setup group as description. So I would be enough with the campaign number and the description (setup group) that I wanna see.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Multiple versions of pages

    Hi,
    Can we have different versions of the pages like different layouts styles ?, but the same Java class should drive all the versions. Our Client wants to have different versions of pages runtime, like some customers sees X version other can see Y version of the pages and on the runtime they want to control the traffic with control panel, like 30% should see X version and 70% should see Y version.
    can we achieve this with ATG ?

    You require ATG Campaign Optimizer for using such type of testing.
    You ll need to get the installer for the same, and then include the required AB Testing modules.
    Using the A/B testing you can have multiple versions of your jsp for diverting traffic, and campaign optimizer will show you the statistics and other info in your dashboard as to which jsp is getting hit maximum.
    Also there are are numerous other advantages of testing multiple promotions etc. with A/B testing.
    Please refer to ATG campaign optimizer documentation for more info.
    Thanks

  • Scenario 4 - Prioritizing deliveries

    Acme Co. is running a Renewal e-mail campaign that is triggered by the Inventor's Club renewal date. They want to make sure that anyone who has received in their Inbox the Renewal delivery within that past two weeks is not targeted by any other delivery. How would they go about configuring this (without using Campaign Optimization, an add-on module for Adobe Campaign).

    Here is a screen shot showing the solution that we covered in the weekly vILT. There was not a Renewal email so we used Welcome email. Remember that in a Typology rule you are selecting the people that you DON'T want to target.

  • ATG Recommendation

    My client has a business requirement for a B2B eCommerce app to make suggestive sell to customer based on the user's purchase history. The requirement is to send email to the customer if say the customer has not placed order for a particular item which he/she would have placed order for in normal order cycle. The requirement is also to do some cross-sell and up-sell after the user has added items in the cart and at that point to show some national brands as well as the client brands. The site support sale of national brands as well as client brands. If I am correct, the latter requirement could be implemented using scenario and slot which displays the recommended products (relatedProducts) to the customer should the customer add the product to the cart. I did some research online on the first requirement but not been able to get any clear direction. Somewhere it is mentioned that ATG recommendation is a statistical engine which makes automated recommendations and automated recommendation emails for suggestive sell based on the user's purchase history. Also it appears like ATG recommendations is part of ATG Optimization Services. I have gone through the ATG Optimization Services, it mentions that it is primarily used for conducting tests to determine which content on the site generate more orders so looks like it is not what fulfills my requirement # 1. My question is which product could I use to get the most frequently added items by a customer taking into consideration the order cycle? Is there any third party product that have been used by others for similar requirement?

    It sounds like you were confused by a couple of similar product names. The product that is used for conducting tests to determine which content generates more orders is Campaign Optimizer, not Optimization Services. ATG Recommendations should be a fit for what your client wants to do.

  • General Discussion - Why to choose APO over R/3 for planning?

    Hi All,
    Why do we choose APO over R/3 for planning? What are the inputs or other factors that make APO a better planning tool?
    Are the factors which make APO a better tool not available foe R/3 planning?
    Thanks in advance
    Changed subject suitably.

    u2022     Campaign element1 has a target group assigned. Workflow "Send target group to Channel" is selected. The Channel is set up to create Business activity.
    u2022     Set up a standard u201CQuestionaireu201D rule in the decision node to send all those BP to u2018campaign element2u2019 who have responded u201CYesu201D to the survey.
    u2022     In the u2018campaign element 2u2019 selected workflow u201Ctransfer Responder to Channelu201D and selected sales order in the communication medium.
    When I u201CStart processu201D from campaign, it creates Business activity for u2018campaign element 1u2019. The survey is also created in business activity. But, when I update survey response within the activity, it does not trigger next campaign element.
    I have even tried maintaining an empty target group in u2018campaign element 2u2019 and selected workflow as u201CAdd BP to target groupu201D. Even in this scenario, BP are not updated in the empty target group after responding to survey.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Umesh,
    When you send printed letter, the automation scenario is broken there.
    Complete automation will work only if you are sending the campaign with E-mail and survey(trackable). Only these values can trigger the follow up steps (workflows).
    If dont opt for the above mehod, you will have to creae campaigns for each step. You cannot have campaign automation. You can optimize the steps by choosing ELM to create mass Lead and TG at one shot. Later you can use this TG for next campaign.
    Automation is not possible without trackkable URL.

  • How to make compiler do inline optimization in WTK?

    Hello:
    I'm a freshman in WTK. I found that my project is running very slow, so I wrote the following test to find the time cost of function call. I found that in this test, it spent 94ms, 1076ms and 2016ms in simulator, for 0, 1, and 2 function calls in each cycle (300,000 times).
    By this result, I think function call may be very expensive and may became the bottleneck of performance in my project.
    public static runTest(){
            long i = 0;
            long j = 0;
            long begin = System.currentTimeMillis();
            int times = 300000;
            for (i = 0; i < times ; i++){
                j = j + i;
            long end = System.currentTimeMillis();
            System.out.println("The result no call is " + (end - begin) );
            begin  = System.currentTimeMillis();
            for (i = 0; i < times ; i++){
                j += set(i);
            end =System.currentTimeMillis();
            System.out.println("The result 1 call is " + (end - begin) );
            begin  = System.currentTimeMillis();
            for (i = 0; i < times ; i++){
                j += set2(i);
            end = System.currentTimeMillis();
            System.out.println("The result 2 call is " + (end - begin) );
    private static long set2(long i) {
         return set(i);
    private static long set(long i) {
            return i;
    }I work in eclipse ,and make sure i've checked "Inline finally blocks" check box.
    I also run the same code in pc, and find the function call may have been optimized to "inline" by compiler (The times changed to 300,000,000, and result is 2016ms, 2281ms, and 2266ms), i also make sure changed the "compiler compliance level" to 1.3
    In an ideal situation, the compiler can find "set(i)" is exactly "i" and change all"set(i)" to "i";
    I wonder if the compiler can change some function to such "inline" in WTK. I don't know how compiler works in WTK, but as a freshman in WTK, i think there may have some optimization option i don't know. Can someone tell me how to make compile do this stuff?
    Thx a lot!

    ...javac make something inline while WTK not...I doubt this. I think that code that was inlined by javac, will remain inlined when executed by WTK. You can check that in more details at compiler forum if needed. Javac remains the same, inlines are there - I don't think this changes.
    What WTK probably can (and maybe even should) change is *hotspot* optimization settings when it emulates execution of MIDlets by real device.
    As for your problem, could it be described as follows: MIDlets run slower than you'd expect of a typical desktop Java applications?
    If yes then WTK User Guide seem to have an explanation for that: +"...Compared to the desktop-based emulator, a real MIDP device usually has a slower processor, less memory, and a slower network connection, and might have a different type of display. The Sun Java Wireless Toolkit for CLDC enables you to simulate the constrained environment of a real device..."+ (quoted from chapter Adjusting Emulator Performance). To me this reads like WTK forces Java machine to slow down execution of MIDlets in order to make it feel closer to a typical mobile device.

  • How to use previous TDMS data to simulate incoming data offline

    This is not a cRIO question, but a LabVIEW question.  I would like to not have to connect to my cRIO everytime I want to develop my real time code.  How can take a previously saved TDMS data and have Labview read the values from this file one line at a time so that the code runs just as if I were logging new data from the sensors?
    Here's a lengthy example to better clarify the question: I'm using LabVIEW 2011
    I'm using Scan Engine to read say, 10 channels on my cRIO every 100ms.  The values from each channel come into my processing loop as an interleaved 1D array where I can process the data and save it as a row in a TDMS file.  Then 100ms later I get a reading for row two in the TDMS file, then row three etc.
    Now say I just want to tweak a few things on my processing loop like add a new chart etc. and want to make sure it displays properly but do not want to reconnect to the cRIO.  Can I reference the saved TDMS file and get LabVIEW to send the same interleaved 1D array of 10 channels every 100ms so it simulates just the way the actual data would come in from the cRIO?

    Hi jezza,
    You can use the TDMS VIs to read from the file, specifying an array of doubles so that we don't have to get the waveform components in order to get the Y values. We then just build an array on a for loop and set a delay of 100 mS. You can optimize this using a Producer Consumer Architecture if you are worried that the processing VIs are going to take more than 100 mS.
