i just need to correct my reply. It doesn't works. I don't want to act with my option keys as Caps lock. I just want to simulate, that i hold those Keys. (for example Shift_L & Option_R)

if you still have KeyRemap4MacBook installed, you can set up a “Control Lock” function through e.g. checking the “▼ Change Control_L Key (Left Control) → Control_L to Sticky Control_L” checkbox — this would turn the left Control key into a Control Lock key.
Alternatively, you could open the Accessibility pane of System Preferences, select Keyboard on the left-hand side, and then check the “Enable Sticky Keys” checkbox to have all of your modifier keys act as Lock versions. If you choose this option, then I’d recommend also checking the “Show Accessibility status in menu bar” checkbox.
I don’t know of any program that will set a random key to be a Lock key — the choices in KeyRemap4MacBook are all for specific keys, not for making one random selection out of all of the keys.

Then I have another two tables 1. Case and 2 CaseDetail. Table Case would simply hold three columns: 1. CaseId 2. CaseNo and 3. Year. Table CaseDetail would have CaseDetailId as a primary key the CaseId as a Foreign Key. Now what I need is that a particular
case could have multiple advocates and multiple petitioners. So the table CaseDetail would have two columns to hold advocateId and PartyId as a Foreign Keys.
If you look at the sample referred above you would not find how to deal with such a case. When I follow the pattern of the sample I get host of design time and runtime errors.

Random keys on keyboard malfunction.
Its been about three days since the problem first presented itself. Using my USB keyboard random keys such as ", w,3, num lock 5 key, capital p, and the right arrow key. I am using the on-screen keyboard to help me write this post.
Things I have tried (according to research via google):
Trying a different keyboard. Same problem, temporary fix for roughly thirty minutes.
Trying a different USB port (front and back). Failed.
Uninstalling keyboards on device manager. Rebooting, failed.
Ease of access, keyboard shortcuts, sticky keys, filters. All of that now unchecked and failed.
Turning computer off, holding power button down for 10 seconds
Computer specs:
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.
AMD phenom II X4 945 Processor
8GB RAM
AMD RADEON HD 5450
Keyboard: Steelseries Shift
Mouse: Razer Deathadder
Sidenote/story: I modified my Razer Deathadders lights on the razer logo and scrollwheel to have them off. As soon as I turned them back on my keyboard started working just fine. Then shortly after five minutes it went back to having problems.Because you mentioned in the sidenote/story that you adjusted the settings for your Razer Deathadder and had success for a few minutes, have you thought to, perhaps, uninstall the software to see if the issue goes away permanently? I don't know of any reason that it would have conflicts with anything else on your computer, but it might be an interesting troubleshooting step to try. Other than that suggestion, I wouldn't know where to go with this...

How do I stop an app from waiting? I have tried to reboot by holding the home key and power button to power down. The app is still grayed out and waiting so it cannot be deleted. Also, I have tried to sync the apps from my laptop and tried downloading new appswith no success. Can you help? Thanks
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I just created a new iPhoto library with holding the option key down and then opening iPhoto with version 7.1.5. I changed the name of the first library to iPhoto library 1 and now I all my photos are gone. My operating system is Mavericks.
launch iPhoto wile holding down the option key and select the original library - when you create a new library of course it is empty
And you seriously need to backup your iPhoto library and purchase and install iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store and download and run the iPhoto library upgraded \then run the new iPhoto - 7.1.5 is not fully compatible with Mavericks

Why my Startup Manager does not appear when I hold the Option key when starting to boot.
I no longer have the Startup Manager appearing when I hold the Option key when starting to boot.
Instead, the system just boots into whichever OS was last selected in the Startup Disk Preference.

Try this for making an external USB/DVD copy of Recovery on an external disk. internet is still required for reinstall, though, I believe: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4848. But at least you have a separate Recovery Partition if you ever need a fully new and empty internal disk.
Your assumption is incorrect. Although he may not be able to download it from the App store he can download it directly for the Apple servers using the recovery partition on his original drive.
All you have to do is start the install routine and then point the install to an external hard drive. Once the download is finished the computer will reboot to start the install. At that reboot disconnect the external drive so the install can not start. Boot the computer back into the OS on the internal hard drive, which is what will happen automatically once the external drive is disconnected. Then connect the external and copy the files from it that were downloaded. Right click on that downloaded package file and select Show contents. In the contents of that package is a file called InstallESD.DMG. Copy that file out of the package and burn it down to a DVD or USB thumb drive and you now have the Full Lion Installer. I have several of them laying around on different hard drives and 2 USB thumb drives which I have used to reinstall Lion on my 15" MBP.

I have multiple iPhoto libraries on my Macbook Air 10.7.5 and when I am selecting which library to view (hold down 'option' key and launch iPhoto from the dock) it automatically closes another open application window eg. Chome, Word. 1 app closes every time I launch iPhoto this way.
If you're pushing Option at the exact moment you're clicking the Dock icon, it's supposed to do that. Wait until just after clicking it.

Imac frozen at blue screen after i went into disk utilities and cleaned free space.
I tried holding down T key as it reboots
and i get a message. Start up disk full empty it how can one emptie it if you cant get past the blue screen?
to make matters worse we bought the IMAC of amazon uk on the 4/07/011 so what can we do?
please remember how frustrating it is when asking for help when the helper telling you to type something on the screen when its frozen
Tell us when you can type some instuctions to the software how do you get to the doss prompt so to speak to do this

when i went into disk utilities and chose to clean my free space i left it over one hour to do its stuff
i came back and there was no progress bar just the box so i quit the program and when i opened mac mail the system just froze i forced quit mail rebooted and blue screen death
Now when free space is being cleaned is it the same as windows dose the utility write lots of 0 on the hard drive then rebbot its self to free the space
basicly is my hard drive full of 00000 is this why im getting this message because the process was interupted

I am most definitely the non-technical user compared to you guys. I’m never going to be in the position of responding with confidence to anyone requesting help in this forums; you folk may therefore have this information at your finger-tips.
One of the best features of mac os x that I discovered only purchasing the iMac in 2013 was feature that by pressing and holding down a letter key a list of alternative language options appears. This feature disappeared on Sept 16. At the same time the outcomes of pressing and holding a combination of keys (most used Shift + Down Arrow) or a single key also disappeared. The most obvious of the single key outcomes was the continuous movement of the cursor along a line when Left or Right arrow was pressed and held down.
Initially, the replacement outcome was if I pressed and held a letter key I simply got multiple repetitions of the same letter. Not finding my problem in the support forums I posed the initial problem.
While this solved the problems of multiple repetitions it did not solve anything else.
I finally sought help from Apple Support Chat over a 36 hour period.
1st senior supervisor & 1st Solution
2nd senior supervisor confirms 2nd solution (and confirms if 2nd solution does not work there is a 3rd solution).
These two senior supervisors were intrigued by the problem and both shared the same view of problem and the same solution.
PROBLEM - there is no location within Mavericks OS X that enables anyone to either switch-on or switch-off the outcomes of pressing and holding a key or a combination of keys. Consequently there is no easy quick fix.
Since neither senior supervisor had, previously, been faced with this particular problem they could only project ideas for causes, software incompatibility or a serious hardware problem, which could only be fully resolved by returning my iMac to Apple ReSeller (3rd solution). Having no desire to entrust my iMac to the slightly dubious Estonian postal service, doing this would require two return journeys (taking and collecting 10 days later) involving 4x6 hours of motorway driving plus a 4x3 hour ferry and costs in excess of €350.
SOLUTION - 3 were suggested to be tried in sequence if the first did not work. Reinstall Mavericks using instructions found at http://support.apple.com/kb/ph13871; (ii) Erase and Install Mavericks using instructions found at http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14243 and (iii) return to Reseller.
As had no effect, I attempted (ii) which involved a lot of hassle, but has returned all the functions of the keys.
The downside is that I still don’t know what caused the problem. The only app I downloaded to the iMac on the September 15th was a Garmin Fitness app. “Once bitten twice shy” I shall download the Garmin Fitness app to my Airbook and will keep you folks informed……. -
Since upgrading to OSX Yosemite last night, I get this error message when I open spreadsheets previously created in Google Drive: "A browser error has occurred. Please hold the Shift key and click the Refresh button to try again." Following these instructions does absolutely nothing.
Word google docs open fine, as do spreadsheets that aggregate responses from a form and a select few spreadsheets; however most other spreadsheets display the same error message.
I've tried:
opening in Google Chrome - uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome: same issue
opening in Firefox: same issue
opening from sheets.google.com: same issuemoving tab doesn't work.

I need to re-download Lion and install it, after re-formatting my hard-drive to "journaled" as requested. Holding the Option key while clicking on "purchases" does not work.

I have been able to copy multiple photos on my Mac Book Pro by selecting the first picture and then holding the shift key while I select the last picture. This highlights all the pictures and then I can use the copy command. Recently that ability to select multiple photos (or files) has stopped working. I can only guess that I hit a combination of buttons that caused this feature to stop working. Any ideas on how to get this working again.

Try opening your .dwt file in a plain text editor like NotePad. Remove the editable regions from code. Save. Open in DW.
You will need to SaveAs Template (same name as the one used by your child pages). Add editable regions to match the ones in your child pages. Save.
