Simulation error message

Hi,
I really need you help. I've bought a book with a Multisim 10.1 Student Edition.
When I want to simulate something, I receive the following error message:
"This circuit has no power sources: unable to determine the simulation timestep automatically.
Please add a power source or set the simulation timestep under "Interactive Simulation Settings" to proceed."
I am using Windows XP.
Some time before I downloaded Evaluation Version from NI website and had the same problem.
Thank you for your help.
Best,
Anis

Hi,
Just as Johann explains, you need to set a VCC and GND on your schematic so the digital components can work correctly, here's a link to a document that has a more detailed explanation on why you need them and how to connect them.

Hope the information is useful.

    Hi,
I figured it out, i had to send the screen number to the E_DYNNR variable which is '4000'. I got that value by debugging. The code had a case statement on this variable and i tried some of the screen number and this one worked :).

  • Getting Accessiblity Error Message before Recording Software Simulation...

In Captivate 7, I go to start a brand new software simulation (chrome screen) in OSX and I get the following error message:
Before recording application applications, select 'Enable Access for Assistive devices' in 'System Preferences' > 'Accessibility'.
The pics below show the red screen capture box and the error I get when I try to capture when trying to capture the screen. Also included is a pic showing accessibility is enabled.
I have no idea where this is coming from.

  • Fpga debug using simulated IO via custom VI - error message

I have an PXIe-7966R with MXI interface to Win7-64/LV2013-32bit. The setup is working. VI's can execute on FPGA target.
I want to debug an FPGA vi on the host computer using simulated IO via custom VI. I try to follow the tutorial in LabVIEW Help: Tutorial: Creating Test Benches (FPGA Module). Have made the custom test vi and the "inverter.vi", and set the proper simulated execution mode.
When running the "inverter.vi" (FPGA target but for now simulate on host) I get this error message dialog:
    Execution already in progress
Another FPGA VI for this target is already executing on the development computer. Stop the other VI before running this vi.
I can't see where I could stop this other fpga vi. In fact I can't find this other vi at all. Here is the project, which can't be any simpler:
    Any hints are welcome.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    thanks for your quick reply.
I tried restart LV and sure enough this changed things. Now I get this error
which could make sense as the IO simulation VI (simTb.vi in my project) is not tested (can't do that without the fpga target under test). This is shown in part below. Note that it is the auto generated template from fpga simulation setup dialog.
and here is the fancy fpga target vi under test (yes i try to make life easy:-))
So no host vi for communication with fpga - just the simualtion test bench.
Ok, I will work on from here and try to fix the error reported. Although I dont se any reason why it reports that its not supported to write to "IO Module\TTL Out Enable 1"
But clearly a restart made a diffence.

  • CD not burning and no error messages... it just isn't burning

I am having a similar problem to Ol Buddy (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=729061&tstart=0). I burnt 2 CDs a couple of months ago. But, since then I've upgraded to iTunes 7. Today, first message I got was that the playlist was too big. But I selected the "no" option. I removed a couple of songs and now when I select burn CD, it checks playlist then... nothing happens.
I can't really get better CDs, because after past problems I'm already using Verbatim. I've included the CD diagnostic. The error 4251 I think was an error I encountered last time, but burnt fine when I repeated the burn. This time I am not getting any error messages. It just isn't burning.

I have the same problem when opening the OPC Server.
Unfortunately I have no solution, but I think it has something to do with incorrect Certificates and is more of a Windows Problem.
If anybody can help, please let us know!

  • Export release build failed with an error message: complilation failed while excuting : compile-abc

I updated air sdk from 4.0 to 16.0 beta to fix apple app store submitting bug. I can build the project and run it on simulator without any problem.  But when I tried to export the ios release build, I got this error message: complilation failed while excuting : compile-abc.

    How to solve this problem?
    Thank you in advance.

I'm not understanding if your cap file is in "b\bin\FVSCardPkg\javacard\", then why are you loading "D:/MyCardPkg.cap"?
The issue isn't with your off card application, but the cap file version. Look at the cap file components in JCVM specification. I believe it's the Header component. The major, minor should match your card but not greater. In other words, your can't load a 2.2 on a 2.1 card, but a 2.1 can load on a 2.2

Thank you for your reply. The views are extended and i did look at the SCU set up and they seem to be good. Actually the scenario is that we had a system where all these processes were working fine in a client. A client copy was made to a new system and i am facing issues simulating in the new client.
I faced an issue in the new system where the function module to create IDN and ID itself was not getting determined and it was because of logical system issue in EWM>Interfaces>ERP Integration>Goods movement>Map storage locations ERP and EWM..I have corrected and the queue gets processed now but i run into this new error.
Will investigate a little more and see how it goes...
I have checked out different settings but i was still not able to fid a solution..Did anybody see this kind of message earlier ?

I have a simulation created in Captivate 6 and publisged in HTML5. I have incorporated the HTML5 output into a Lectora file, published as SCORM and loaded to our LMS. When I try to view the Captivate simulation, I get an error message that states "The browser does not support some of the content in the file you are trying to use. Use one of the following broswers: Internet Explorer 9 or above." However, I was on Internet Explorere 10 when I got the message. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hank,
I haven't completely solved this yet, but I have determined what is going on - at least in my situation. I discovered that our LMS provider has a setting to force any IE browser down to IE7. So, if someone views the course on IE 8 or above, then the LMS automatically pushes the browser down to IE7. HTML5 can only be viewed on IE 9 or above. So, even when I would go in to view the course on IE10, the LMS makes IE10 think it is IE7 and the HTML5 code doesn't work with IE7. I'm having our LMS admin work with our provider to see if we can change this setting. You may want to check with your provider to see if they are doing something similar.

  • Performance issue calling bapi po create in test mode to get error messages

    Hi,
We have  a report which displays in alv the purchase orders that got created in SAP, but either got blocked due to not meeting PO Release Strategy tolerances or have failed output messages .We are displaying the failed messages too.
We are looping the internal table of eban(purchase requisition) and calling bapi po create in test mode to get failed messages.
Now we are facing performance issue in production. What can be the other effecient way to get the error messages without effecting performance.
    Regards,
    Suvarna

    Hi Suvarna,
so you need to reduce the number of PO-simulations.
    - Likely you checked already, that all EBAN-entries should already be converted into POs. If there would be a large number of "new" EBAN-entries, they don't need to be simulated.
    - If it's a temporary problem: give aid to correct the problems (maintain prices or whatever the error-reasons are) Then the amount of not-converted purchase requisitions (PR) should drop, too
    - If it's likely, that your volume of open PR will stay high: create a Z-Table with key of EBAN and a counter, simulate (once a day) PO conversions and store the results in the Z-table. In your report you can use the results... if they are "new enough". From time to time new simulations should be done, missing master data might be available.
Maybe users should be allowed to start this 2nd report manually (in background), too -> then they can update the messages after some data corrections themself, without waiting for the result (just check later in online report and do something different in between).
And you might need to explain, PO simulation takes as long as PO creation... there is no easy or fast way around this.
    Best regards,
    Christian

  • Hi, problem in goods issue to cost center Error message M7314

    Hi to you all,
I am trying to post a good issue for a material to a cost center but an error message is coming out and says that "stock becomes negative see long text. message no - M7314". the material type was at the begining not valorated (like NLAG material type) but later on it had to be valorated, so the flag was triggered from the basic configuration of material type. if i see the material master record i can noticed that the material has no price neither the amount of stock in the plant, but if i check the stock in any MM report TX like MMBE or MB52 i can see that there is some stock in it. we need to registered the stock issue, any help that you can provide me i´ll appreciate it.
    Best regards.
    OOOP

When we issue the material to Cost Center then amount (Qty X Value) get debited to that particular cost center,
I think system fails to calculate the amount as there is NO value maintained in material master
    this is what I thought
    Error Message M7314 is
    Short Text
Valuated stock becomes negative: & -> see long text
    Diagnosis
When a goods movement or an incoming invoice is entered, the system simulates the update of the valuation data in the material master record. The current simulation indicates that this posting would lead to a negative stock quantity (or a negative sales value) although negative stocks are not allowed for this material.
    Procedure
You cannot post this item. Therefore, terminate current processing.
Display the material master record (accounting data).
Check the price, stock value, and stock quantity (also for the previous month, if required).
    Proceed
Display the material documents and the accounting documents for the material and check whether the stock quantity is realistic.
    Material documents Proceed
    Accounting documents Proceed
If the stock value does not correspond to the stock quantity, data inconsistencies may exist.
Please contact SAP Support via SAPNet Frontend as soon as possible.
Support requires the following information from you:
ID and number of this error message (M7 3XX)
    Material number and plant
Total stock and its value (see the accounting data in the material master record)
