Simulation of articulatory(speech production) activity in human.

Hello..........!
I want to simulate the artificial speech production system in labview which will be helpful for the people who have lost their ability to speak due to laryngeal cancer or laryngectomy.
while searching through net i got the following circuit i want to know if it is possible to simulate this using labview, if so please help me otherwise please anyone can suggest me the other circuit for the artificial speech production system.? I am giving here the circuit as well as the description please provide me the block diagram and front panel of the system. please help me.
The vocal tract is represented 'as a non uniform transmission line supporting longitudinal propagation only. Its characteristic impedance at all points is inversely proportional to the cross sectional area in a plane perpendicular to the flow line . The tract is assumed hardwalled ; the compliance of the soft tissues of the tract wall is ignored. The sampling frequency for the
simulation , 24 kHz, is determined by the spacing of area samples, 1.5 cm, that is necessary to simulate the continuous tract up to a signal frequency of 6 kHz. Since the length of each section is considerably smaller than the wavelength even at this frequency, the effect of the distributed reflection of a section traversed by the wavefront in one sampling period can be represented by a lumped reflection coefficient centered on the section.Figure 1 shows a block diagram of the v o c a l - t r a c t model. Pressure samples propagate back and forth along the transmission line and suffer multiple internal reflections . E x c i t a t i o n may be p e r i o d i c, simulating vocal-cord vibration , or turbulent corresponding to frication . For per i o d i c e x c i t a t i o n the samples of the excitation function are added to the samples of the r e f l e c t e d signal arriving at the glottis . Turbulent excitation may take place at the vocal cords or at any interior section . It is Implemented by means of a white - noise generator and associated source impedance placed in  series with the line . For computational simplicity , the tract is assumed lossless within its interior . Simple digital filters act at the tract boundaries, the vocal cords and the lips , to approximate the frequency-dependent losses so that  actually measured resonant-frequency bandwidths are properly matched. The glottal reflection and the labial radiation functions act essentially as high-pass filters ; the labial reflection appears as a lowpass filter . The nasal passage is  represented by an additional transmission line of fixed but nonuniform shape coupled to the main tract with the aid of a variable coupling parameter. It serves in the production of nasalized vowels and consonants. The system output is obtained by summing the outputs of digital filters approximating the free-space radiation characteristics at the lips and nostrils . Radiation through the lips is , of course, controlled by the variable lip area. If the opening is reduced, more of the energy arriving at the lips is reflected within the tract and less is radiated to the outside . Radiation through the tract wall is not explicitly included. Articulatory movement is simulated by defining a sequence of articulatory states or targets and interpolating the position -dependent reflection coefficient values and oral - nasal coupling between them. Thus targets are not necessarily phonemic in nature but may be specified as frequently as desired in order to approximate natural articulatory movement as closely as possible . When the articulator positions are derived from a model of articulatory activity , the vocal - tract shapes computed therefrom are expected to act as the target states of the simulation program. Stress and intonation information are assumed embedded in the excitation frequency and amplitude parameters and will not be discussed here in detail . Linear interpolation of the reflection - coefficient values implies that near sharp constrictions the area varies linearly with time, but where the area changes slightly or the reflections are small, the areas vary exponentially with time. The resonant-frequency curves resulting from this procedure resemble those observed in spectrograms more closely than the straight -line segments used in most formant synthesizers.

  • How do I perform a "Suite Product Activation" so that Acrobat will start working on my new Retina MacBook Pro?

How do I perform a "Suite Product Activation" so that Acrobat will start working on my new Retina MacBook Pro?
Like others, I have recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to the next generation and migrated all my information from old to new. Everything works seamlessly EXCEPT Acrobat. Photoshop, Indesign, Bridge and Lightroom all seem functional. Acrobat hangs with an error message "Suite Product Activation Needed. Acrobat was installed as part of a suite. To enable Acrobat, please start another element of the suite (such as Photoshop)." Needless to say, starting another element of the suite has NO impact on Acrobat.
This has to be a common problem. Now that Apple has made it really easy to migrate information from old to new machines, it has to come up all the time. What surprises me greatly is that I can't find any coherent answer in these forums.
So how do I get Acrobat running again?

    Hi Anubha,
I do not understand what you said below.
I am running Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 9.5.5. I do not remember whether it came with Photoshop or InDesign.
When I open Photoshop, it opens without my having to follow any instructions to activate the software. As a matter of fact, I cannot find my Photoshop serial number anywhere in the Photoshop program itself. I do know it from my profile at Adobe.com. Are you suggesting I deactivate Photoshop on the new computer and then reactivate it using my serial number? Will it reactivate?
    When you say
"/Library/Application Support/Adobe" at the root level of the startup disk (not the Library folder inside a user's Home folder)
what do you mean? I do not have a startup disk. I have the original installation disk but that version of Photoshop has been updated a few times.
After staring at your instructions for a while, I realized that you might be talking about the Library/Application Support folders resident on my Macintosh HD, although why you called it a startup disk is unclear to me. IAC, I went into those folders and duly moved the three folders into a new folder I called “Acrob1” and restarted Adobe Acrobat 9 and got the following error message: “AMT Subsystem Failure  The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall of call customer support.” with a small (6).
By undoing my actions I am back to the staus quo ante.
    Now what?
    Regards, Robert

  • Error msg: Current user does not have privileges to perform product Activation

I am running Adobe Photoshop CS 8.0 on Windows Home Vista platform.
I keep getting this error message when I try to open Photoshop:
Current user does not have privileges to perform product activation. Run this application from a user account with administrative privileges or contact your system administrator.
I am the only owner & user of this software. I have re-installed the SW once (full install), and the error message went away for a while.
    Now it's come back.
    What do I do now?

    2 options:
Either disable UAC (User Access Controls) or run the application with Administrator rights.

  • Problem with the product activation adobe acrobat 9 standard.

I have a problem with the product activation adobe acrobat 9 standard.
It is a failed hard disk to the pc and was not able to deactivate the license adobe.
Now I replaced the hard drive and reinstalled the software but it tells me that all licenses are used.
Is it possible to unlock the licenses in use?
    Thank you.

Adobe can unlock licenses, this is a normal thing for them to do. You must contact them directly, there is no trick or other way.

  • Acrobat 9.5.0 update needs product activation

I recently updated Acrobat Pro 9 to 9.5.0 and now every time I try to use the app I get a dialog box that says:
    Suite Product Activation Needed
Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a Suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, please start another sompnent of this suite (such as Adobe Acrobat).
Starting PS does not solve the problem. I am able to use all other programs except Acrobat Pro.
I own CS4 Design Premium (Student Edition) and I have a serial number. Is there someplace I can go to reestablish the serial number for CS4 so that Acrobat will work?

can you check out the following threads for a solution?

  • Sending Product Activity Notification from R/3 to APO using XI

I am trying to send a product activity notification from a backend R/3 system to APO using XI.The idoc Proact01 is getting generated and in XI when Executing transaction 'sxmb_moni' the status is showing 'processed successfully'. But in the message monitoring of
XI runtime workbench, the messages of the adapter engine has the status 'System Error'.
    The error log is showing:
Error Exception caught by adapter framework:
error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was.
Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was .
Iam using a rfc adapter in the communication channel from XI to APO and using standard mapping provided in the SCM content in SAP Marketplace.
    How can i troubleshoot this.

    Hi Again Tamoghna,
If you use the SCM content you are on the right track!
Try to do a bit more research regarding this content.
I guess that the message type used in the ProductActivityNotification_In Interface has similar structure or data types to your destination object(RFC,PROXY,BAPI).
So i suggest you to go over the SCM content documentation and you'll find the right communication channel to be used.(Don't re-invent what SAP thought about all ready...)
One of the questions you should ask yourself regarding the Activity Notification is:
A.Do you need a response back to the R\3 (as part of the business process?)
B.do you have an interface in the SCM imported content called ProductActivityNotification_out.
    Good luck.
    Keep me updated....

  • Suite Product Activation Required

    CS4 - Master Suite
    Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 /w patches
    Latest drivers, patches, etc
Rest of CS4 suite activated AOK.
When running Acrobat Pro, get: Suite Product Activation Required, please start another suite application.
Ran PS, PP, etc -- all NG.  Acrobat just gives me the same dialog box, on hitting OK, then exits and closes Acrobat.
    Any thoughts?

I have the same problem with CS 4 design standard.  I've installed CS 4 on 40
pc's in a classroom.  Users are frustrated that
they have to start up photoshop before they can start Acrobat, just to Read PDF;s

  • Lightroom and Product Activation

Ok, I'm confused. Does Lightroom use Product Activation, or not?
I've been thinking about buying Lightroom for a while now; very impressed with the demo. But, I won't buy software that uses product activation. Back when 1.3.1 came out, I called up Adobe's sales 1-800 number, and they said there would be product activation unless I bought a volume license, so I figured "too bad, no lightroom for me. Maybe I'll buy a Mac and Aperture."
But, I was complaining about this the other day, and someone told me Lightroom does not, in fact, use product activation. I notice it isn't on this list:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/activation/productsactiv.html
And I found this comment in a google search:
"I'm impressed with Adobe NOT requiring online activation in order to register Lightroom."
I also notice the lack of a "deactivate" option in the menus (although maybe that doesn't show up until I activate?).
So, what gives? Has anyone tried to install and "register" light room on a machine without an internet connection? Did it work?

No on-line product activation, like Photoshop or Dreamweaver. Just a serial number or not. If not you got thirty days of use.

  • Office Pro 2010 Product Activation Issue

Started getting errors when opening Office applications stating "product activation required". This product has been in use (activated) for some 3 or 4 years now and the product ID displays as installed.
The Office product has been in use since purchase without issue.
I checked and there are no updates pending for the Office 2010 product????
Full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials comes up clean.
    Any ideas??

    Hi,
I want to know whether you are using a retail version of Office or a Volume Licensing version? Is it Office Professional Plus 2010?
The error "Product Activation required" implies that your Office 2010 is no longer licensed. You can try the method below to fix it:
Determine whether the computer has the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Office 2010 installed. To do this, open any Office 2010 program, click
File, and then click Help. The Office version is displayed next to the
    Version number.
    Close all Office 2010 programs.
Click Start,  type cmd in the
Start Search box, and then press Enter.
At the command prompt, type one of the following commands, and then press Enter:
If you're running 64-bit Windows with 32-bit Office:
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\OSAUI.exe" /F
If you're running 32-bit Windows, or running 64-bit Office with 64-bit Windows:
    "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\OSAUI.exe" /F
If the problem persists after the steps above, there are some other methods that you may need to try, we can find more details in this Microsoft KB below:

  • Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message

I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 and updated Acrobat Pro to 9.5.1. All of the sudden (not anywhere near the time that I updated) I started getting the "Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message". Then it closes and quits.
Launching Photoshop (or having it open) does nothing. The other similar forum discussions seem to concern Lion, which I don't have yet. Solutions?

The Acrobat X Suite has Acrobat X not Acrobat 9 Pro.  So it begs the question do you have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?

  • Subscription Service Product Activation Process

If the subscription service for Adobe InDesign CS5.5 is purchased how often does the product activation process occur, every time the application is launched, or once a month after the subscription payment has been processed? In other words, if I am running on a laptop and I wish to run the application even during the rare occasion that I don't have an internet connection, would I still be able to run the application? If the activation occurs every time the application is launched, I would assume no. I don't want to subscribe to the application if I will have occassions that I am unable to run the application just because I am not connected to the internet.

If activation verification fails, you have a 7 day grace period. Not sure about the rest. I'm sure there is some deeper logic there, but actually the serial number is timestamped and in an ideal world, it should only try to verify activation if it times out...

  • Product Activation on Aperture 3, like on implemented on Adobe apps?

I am using Aperture 3 Trial, and I decided to purchase the academic version of Aperture 3 (since my school bookstore sells the full version, not upgrade, academic license for $99)
However, unlike other Apple softwares released recently, (where serial number is now located inside the actual disc itself, and not printed anywhere in the disc or the box), does Aperture 3 require me to enter the serial number to activate the software by "phoning home" to Apple server (which I have never seen Apple implement this type of product activation before)? If that's the case, will I be able to transfer my license to a new mac should I decided to purchase one?
Also, does the Aperture 3 license give me the right to install on two macs (one on my main black MacBook, and on on my MacBook Air as a backup), provided that I don't run the software on two machines at the same time?

No activation, registration is optional. You can transfer to new machines and install on 2 macs as long as you are not using both at the same time.

  • Product Activation Number

    Hi All,
I am attempting to install CR server X1 on a Windows 2003 server that a developer is developing a web application. He requires the CR merge modules as such for the reporting functionality.
The Product Activation Number when entered returns as invalid but it is on the sticker on the back of the CD pouch.
The CD folder is Crystal Reports X1 Professional Edition
Full Prouct. I cannot locate with anyone in our IT infrastructure or desktop support where this may have been installed previously, and it is not 'active' on any of the servers or workstations in the current environment.
Please advise on how I can get a valid PAN to get this installed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Peter W

    Hi,
Can you contact the customer interaction center to resolve this issue they might provide you the license or PAN else let me know if you have any queries.
