Simutaneous Recording while playing b

I have a Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and I have two questions:
. I would like to record a small band. I anticipate first recording the guitar track. Once recorded, I would like to play that track back to a headphone set (to provide feedback for the vocalist) while recording the vocalist on another track at the same time. I am using Adobe Auidition .5.
2. I would also like to be able to record to mics at the same time - each on separate tracks. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it's
It seems to me that this card has so many inputs that I should be able to do the above. Please decribe to me how to do the above (if it can be done) as I am just starting out with home recording.

I reinstalled completly Logic express. I plugged the IU2 and it worked but... But then I launched again Logic and the previous bug was still there. I noticed too an other new bug, when a sequence is playing I can't edit the channel strip as I used to do before, fore example add a EQ or a compressor.
So I am wondering if those two problems/bugs are related?
Is it a compability problem with The last OS system ?
The logic upgrade ?
I also checked on the web to upgrade from express to pro (maybe stupid but it may solve my problem) but it seems impossible to do it. Just buy it entirely.
It's a serious problem...nobody have an idea ?

I have the LifeProof case for the iPhone5, and I remember the instructions saying that any protective screen cover should be removed before enclosing the phone into the case, but I left mine on with no ill effects.
But I should have taken off the back protective film, which was covering the video mic!

Record audio while playing video?

Hello,
I have an multisession project (German: Mehrspurdatei) with a video file (via Edit, Insert, File). Now I want to record audio (USB mic) into a new channel/stream of this project while playing the video.
Pressing the audio record button at the bottom of the Soundbooth window opens the recording dialog window, but creates a new audio file -- I can't play the video simultaneously...
So, how is this possible?

Latence while playing and recording (Axiom 49)

Hello,
When i try to play with my Axiom 49 while playing a song or while trying to record myself, there is lag and I need to wait a little time before hearing the sound of my instrument. Also i need to press the key a certain time before i can hear the sound.
My keyboard is plugged directly in my MacBook Pro, the problem is not coming from the computer, i think there something to do in Logic but i don't know what to do .
Is there any way to change this ?

Playing and Recording while minimized

I've noticed that Adobe Audition 3.0 will stop recording or playing when I open another window, or if I minimize it
I looked this up in the forums, and found a solution of unchecking the "Release ASIO driver in background" button. I've tried that, but the problem is persisting.
I've noticed that this is happening on two different computers, on the same edition. Is there anything else I should be trying here?

MSI P35 Neo-F (MS-7360): Computer randomly freezes while playing games

Hi there,
I have reached the end of my technical knowledge right now and I'm not even sure if this area of the forum is appropriate. The problem:
While playing higher-end games like Crysis 2, Anno 1404, Mass Effect 2 etc. my computer randomly freezes and the last few milliseconds of sound are being looped on my speakers (kind of like a buzzing sound).
By "freezing" I mean that my computer becomes unresponsive to any action other than pressing the Reset-Button or holding down the Power-Up-Button (no reaction to Ctrl+Alt+Del, Alt+F4, Alt+Tab, no mouse movement... you get it).
There's no exact timing as to when these freezes occur. The fastest freeze happened after less than a minute of playing a game, slowes one (just today after switching to my newer case with better cooling) took about 2 hours.
This freeze only occurs while my System is under load. No freezes while browsing the web, using office programs, listening to music or watching videos.
System Specs:
Mainboard: MSI P35 Neo-F (MSI-7360)
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz
RAM: 4x 1GB DDR2-800 Corsair XMS2
Graphics: Gainward GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620W (upgraded from Xilence XP600, 600W)
New CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 13 Pro (upgraded from OEM Intel Boxed Cooler)
New Case: Zalman Z9 Plus w/ 4x 120 mm Fans (Upgraded from a Case with only 1x 250mm side Fan)
2 Western Digital HDD (1x 2TB, 1x320 GB)
1 DVD Reader/Burner (unimportant for that error I guess)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
2 Screens: 1x 24" Asus VS248H and 1x 21" LG Flatron Wide W2240T
Since this error is bugging me for quite a while now and since this is not the first forum I'm trying to get help from, here's a list of steps i already took to get rid of it, obviously to no good use:
reinstalled games where the freeze occurred
updated all Drivers (including cleaning old versions in safe mode; also tried older drivers)
updated BIOS to v1.A0
Reinstalled Windows
bought new Case and CPU Cooler to improve Air Flow/Cooling
checked Seating of all components (took out, cleaned, reapplied thermal grease where neccessary, re-inserted)
cleaned old case of dust (obviously no problem in the new case, which is 2 days "old")
ran 7 sequences of Memtes86+ without any errors
ran Prime95 without any errors for about 45 Minutes
ran Furmark for 15 Minutes under full load (burn-in test) without any problems, even though my graphics card hit the 100°C frequency-cut level
ran Furmark and Prime95 simultaneously without any problems
took records of component temperatures and system voltages without noticing anything unusual (at least not after i switched to the newer PSU, which is about 1 Month old - yet didn't resolve the problem)
tested with cyclic removal of 1 RAM device to further rule out RAM malfunction
tested with only 2 RAM devices in dual channel mode (Slots 1 and 3)
tried to reduce RAM clock (800 MHz --> 667 MHz) to no avail
checked S.M.A.R.T. values of HDDs, no issues reported
tested without any background programs
raised/lowered voltages to RAM, CPU and Chipset in BIOS to increase logic circuit stability/decrease heat production
I need to mention: After I transferred my system to the new case, i was able to play longer than average compared to my old case. So I am guessing that improper cooling was part of the problem, yet improving cooling obviously didn't resolve it.
Since these freezes are really annoying and nobody could help me resolve this so far, I'm hoping to find some new ways of narrowing down the problem or even getting rid of it here.

Yes, I monitored CPU and RAM usage, there is no recognizeable pattern to be seen and it almost never happens under full load.
I will see if a friend of mine can test my GPU on his computer, and I will test it underclocked right away.
Though one more question regarding that: Should I only underclock GPU Core Clock or both Core and RAM clock?

Issue while playing the content of Azure Media Services after deleting the channel.

We are having the issue while playing the content of Azure Media Services after deleting the channel.
Please find detail scenarios below:
We have done live streaming of an event using Azure Media Services, event was around 5-6 hrs. After completion of event channel was deleted, when we checked content data
it was only 1hr. Content has only last 1 hr. recording, we are unable to get full recoding.
We divided event into two parts to avoid above issue. After completion of 1st part which was of 2 hrs., we stopped the streaming and deleted the channel. New channel was
created and streaming was started for 2<sup>nd</sup> part, after completion of event channel was deleted. Now we are unable to play the content data for 1st part but able to play the 2nd part of event through content publish URL.
We have done streaming of 3 hrs. event on 18th April with same process and full recoding was available.
Can you let me know what might be the issue?

Recording and playing sound

I am having a problem with sound in my program, it takes information from a TargetDataLine, put's it in a temporary file, then takes it back out of the temporary file and plays it using a SourceDataLine. currently, it does not play back the sound source code will follow in my next two posts.

I want to add the oriental scale or detune some notes while playing - garageband.

I want your help in teaching me how to add an oriental scale in the latest garageband version, I want to play middle estern music but that wont happen unless some notes are de-tuned, If i can't add a scale, could some keys be detuned perminently? I don't want to detune it or edit it after playing and recording it. I want it to be perminently detuned so i get that sound while playing.

In iMovie's menu go to iMovie>Preferences and, in the General tab, check (tick) the box labelled "Show Advanced Tools".
Drag the picture directly onto a clip approximately where you wish it to appear. As you drop the picture, a pop-up menu will appear. Select "Cutaway". The picture will now appear in place of the video but the original audio will be intact. If you double-click on the Cutaway, the Inspector will open - here you can make adjustments to the Cutaway, such as Opacity and Duration.

NOTE: As well as Cutaway, in the pop-up menu there are choices for "Picture in Picture" and "Side by Side". You may prefer to use one of those to show your picture, rather than doing a Cutaway.

Please help me with recording and playing audio simultaneously!!!

Right now I can either play the incoming stream OR record it. I tried making Clones for datasource like :
DataSource clone1 = Manager.createCloneableDataSource(originalSource);
Then I pass it to these 2 classes:
new playThread(clone1).run;
new recordThread(clone1).run;
playThread is a Thread class that will take the cloned datasource and then plays it while recordThread will record the incoming datasource. Here is what happens when i run them one after another:
When I run playThread before recordThread I get ACM driver error. But if I run the recordThread before playThread the playThread's playerWindow shows up and plays for a split second then stops; The recordThread does record all the incoming stream though... Here are my questions....
1. Anyone know what my problem is? is it resource alocation? Threading problem?
2. Did I use the clone datasource correctly? I tried making clone1, clone2 but those didnt work well either...Should I do anything to the clones for record and play? all I did was pass them to the 2 classes and those classes just use them straight out without proccessing or anything...

i dont think it is... i tried the clone thing but samething happened... it might be a Thread problem since when i put those together sometimes record runs sometimes player runs... and at the end i get "ERROR while querying ACM driver's information" error..... i am really confused...

Using power adaptor charger while playing iPod

I have a charger for my iPod Mini. I think it's called a "USB-based power adaptor." When I got it about a year ago it cost about $20. Uses a cable for the iPod into it and then plugs into a standard outlet.
I am also able to run my iPod through one of my more high-end stereo systems. A great advantage, particularly for "home recording," to listen and get full stereo sound.
The question is:
Can I use the charger adaptor while the iPod is playing? Either through the stereo system or using the iPod just by itself?
It would seem that should be no problem. Wouldn't it be the same principle as using an iPod "dock?"
If I can do this, the nice thing would be that I could keep my iPod fully charged while playing. Either through the stereo system or playing just the iPod alone.
Could any harm be done by doing this?

In theory, it shouldn't do any harm. The reason I added the qualifier is that its possible that a non-Apple charger could in some way, not be quite up to spec and could behave oddly. Of course, Apple chargers can go bad, too. iPods will stop accepting a charger once they are fully charged. I have used chargers while my iPod has been connected to speakers with no difficulty and no harm to the iPod.

How to get audio output of my instrument while playing back the other tracks?

I do not hear any audio signal from my bass guitar while playing along the other tracks in Logic. I can only hear the audio output of my bass while I record or stop the music. How can I change the settings so that I can play along and hear myself while I practice? The track for bass is not muted and is getting a strong input signal.

Hi,
Remove all unwanted attributes from XPath , say href etc. Then replace or with and in XPath. Give text attribute and index attribute in XPath. This will solve your issue for sure.
