  • WiFi sync of iPad with Windows 7 iTunes

My iPad will not wifi sync with iTunes on my Windows 7 PC. All the relevant boxes in iTunes are ticked. The latest version of iTunes has. been fully uninstalled and installed in the recommended manner several times. I have Kaspersky Internet security and have tried disabling the firewall. I can sync my iPad with iTunes using my usb cable. When my iPad attempts a WiFi sync an icon appears top right and a whirling dot. The dot stops and the icon disappears. Just occasionally ( no specific conditions) the full iPad icon appears as it has been recognised by iTunes. But my iPad will still not WiFi sync with iTunes although I am able to select music or photos to sync and click apply. However the sync fails. Can anyone make a suggestion. I am getting very frustrated. I was going to try using msconfig check for conflicts.

  • Format iPad with Windows or Mac

    Hi,
I remember there being issues in the past about formatting an iPod for Mac, and then trying to format it for Windows - is it possible to set an iPad up with a Mac, and then restore it, and set it up with a Windows computer at a later date?
The fact that I can't find anything online about this would suggest it isn't a problem...
    Many thanks in advance,
    Nick

An iPad doesn't need formatting and will work with PC and/or Mac (I've connected mine to both without problems). The only issue you might have is moving to a different computer in general (whether or not it's the same type as the current one) as iPads are designed to only be synced with one computer - so you may need to copy all your content to the new computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1202

  • HT1373 how do i put my music on old iphone to new ipad with windows

how do Iput my music on my 3gs iphone to my new ipad?

Plug in your iPhone and open iTunes, sync your data both ways (music ends up on your computer if not there already and anything in iTunes will be synced to your 3GS). Then connect your iPad to iTunes and sync - it will do the same thing, and the end result will be you'll have all your data on all your devices.
If you wanted, you could restore your iPad from your iPhone backup, which I would recommend if you wanted to keep that same data, although it doesn't transfer everything (including non-purchased music) - you still need to sync with iTunes afterwards.
Another option would be to get iTunes Match. That will let you view your entire Music library on all your devices, stream them, and keep them in sync, automatically.
    Hope that helps!

  • Preview on iPad with Windows 7?

    Hello,
I am new to making apps for the iPad and use a Windows 7 pc for most of my actual design work. I wanted to know if it is possible to preview my folio in Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad without a Apple computer?
As of right now, my folio is completed and I am signed in, but the Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad will not locate my folio. I am guessing this is because I am using Windows 7, but would like to be sure.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Himanshu,
Thank you for the response, but this is the problem I am having. I have mu folio built in the Folio Builder Panel, but it will not show up on the Content Viewer on the iPad? Why would this be? I am signed in and I checked the troubleshooting tips and I am doing everything right...yet I still can't preview my folio??

I purchased some films on my ipad and since syncing with my itunes, I have lost all my films, can anyone help?

There is some troubleshooting for 0xE8 error codes on this page : iOS: Unknown error containing '0xE' when connecting to a Windows PC
For the charging via USB, a lot of computers don't provide enough power to their USB ports to charge an iPad at a sufficient rate (it may still be charging, especially if the iPad's is locked and the screen is off), the iPad's own wall charger is generally the best way to charge it.

  • HT1695 why would my new computer with windows 8 set up fine and now all of a sudden I cannot connect to the internet on my IPaD

I have a new computer an Dell Inetel Celeron 2020 with Windows 8.  I had interent connection on my old desktop and to my Iphone and Ipad, however now I cannot get my Ipad to connect to the internet whatsoever.  i have messed with this since Wednesday of last week and I am exhausted from it.  Please help.

So just the ipad cannot connect to the network? Does it connect to any other network?
    Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, turn wifi off. Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Go to settings/genreral/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer suppot website for downloads and instructions).

  • Can't sync iPad with Outlook 2010 since creating iCloud account

Ever since I created an iCloud account, my iPad will not sync my calendar with my Dell laptop running Windows 7 and Outlook 2010.  It worked fine prior to adding the cloud.  I have done a hard reset of the iPad with no luck either.  I only use one Apple device (iPad).  Do i even need a cloud account as I sync/backup my iPad to my laptop and Android phone daily?  Help, I need to get my info back on the iPad.

I was able to fix it somehow by deleting the calendars on my iPad and iPhone and turning off iCloud calendar it finally let me select outlook calendar to sync by also selecting to replace calendar in advanced settings. But only by selecting both. It only took 6 months for Apple to allow me to do so because I have selected the outlook calendar before and wouldn't sync.
I have Windows 7 and MS Outlook 10

  • My Ipad Mini won't launch and sync at all with Windows 8.1

Since  uploading IOS 7.1.1 I have not been able to sync (either via wifi or cable) with my itunes. I have an ASUS PC with Windows 8.1 and on plugging in the cable am only offered options to import pictures, see files or take no action. I am still able to recieve new music files via home share but can not sync playlists or any amendments to my content. Itunes will not launch upon connection.
I have poured over helpfiles / posts, started and rebooted; stopped and restarted the apple device helper; rebooted the i-pad, rebooted the PC etc, nothing seems to resolve it.
    Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

  • I bought  an iPad 3 yesterday; this is an upgrade from the original iPad. I was told that migrating the data would be simple. My desktop is a PC with Windows 7 Professional. I can't find a way to back up my old iPad so I can restore the data to the new

I bought an update to the original iPad an iPad 3. In was told that migrating the data from my old iPad to the new will be a snap. Alas, it isn't. My desktop is a new high end PC that came preloaded with Windows 7 Professional and I have had nothing but problems. My earlier computer was XP and everything, including my Apple interface, in particular iTunes, worked without problems. When I was trying to back up my data from the old iPad to my desktop, the only thing it would do is synchronize, then got an error message to download the latest iTunes, which I did but it still did not work. I have a lot of music both purchased through iTunes and a lot of others which were CDs that were copied to the desktop. I also have a lot of books through Kindle and other books in iBooks and audio books from other sources, plus two iPods I want to sync. I need some advise on where I find the back up feature in iTunes so I can copy all the data on from my old iPad. Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

  • ITunes on a PC with Windows 7, iPhone and Ipad

iTunes installed on a PC with Windows 7, you can sync with an iPhone and Ipad users and different accounts?

Are you sure that you have the iCloud control panel downloaded and installed?
You should also check the iCloud add in. Click the File menu. Then click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window. Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window. Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" make sure "iTunes Outlook add-in" and "iCloud Outlook Add-in" are selected.
To add enable the add-ins, in the Manage box at the bottom of the Outlook Options window, select COM Add-Ins, and then click Go. In the COM Add-Ins dialog, navigate to the iCloud add in and and you should be able to enable them.
Once you have the refresh button, the push connection is ON again
