Since downloading 7.0.1 the Folders in my Bookmarks are no longer in alphabetical order;since SortPlaces 1.6.9 is not compatible, how do I sort the Folders9 as opposed to the items within the Folder?

I use Firefox as my Browser and Microsoft XP w/ service pack 3 OS

I think mine are all still in alphabetical order, but :
* movies I deleted from my library and told "hide this purchase in the cloud" are showing up again. If I try to play them, I get the "cannot find the file in its proper location, would you like to locate it" error message.
* for movies that have "iTunes Extras," the extras show up as a separate item, with another copy of the movie artwork. Most of these I believe I had DELETED the "iTunes Extras" anyway.
* Items are showing up multiple times.
* A few MUSIC ALBUMS are listed in my Movies section.
* Some movies (I believe ones that I deleted off my HD but are still in the cloud) are showing random album covers instead of their proper artwork.
* Just rented a movie, and it didn't show up anywhere in my library. It downloaded properly and completely, was in a suitably labeled folder in my iTunes/Media/Movies section, but didn't show up in any section of the library (or via a library search). Had to manually find it and tell it to open the file using iTunes.
Running the latest version, even checked for updates. No other changes made lately since the last round of apple software updates. This was wonky before the latest small update to iTunes - now it's even wonkier. And it is very, VERY effing annoying.

I hit some key or tab by accident and now my bookmarks are no longer in a list but viewable across a set of pages that I can scan left to right. I would like to go back to the other display which is much easier for me. Thanks for the help.

Only the carrier an iPhone is locked to can authorize the phone's official unlocking. There is no other way to get any iPhone officially unlocked. Apple can't/won't help you.

Set the bookmarks to be unsorted, or maybe "sort by added". Use the Views menu in the toolbar in the bookmarks Library window.

Search for a footage item within a folder item?

how do you search for a footage item that may be in a folder item ?
eg: i have a comp as the first item in my project panel, then i have a folder containing the three footage items that belong to that comp below.
in my script i want to create a variable to store a particular footage item called "background". though i dont know how to search for it if its contained within a folder (called "footage").
can anyone pleease help a newbie

That's normally produced by a damaged iTunes.msi. The basic treatment for it is given in the following user tip:

... but since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Downloads Center, things have grown more difficult. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now start with *step 4* from the user tip, and proceed from there.
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Use the Automator Action "Rename Finder Items"
(Automator is in the Applications Folder)
You have these options in rename:
Click "Show this action when the workflow runs", then save the workflow as an App

How can I create a filter that automatically copies sent items to other folder than "sent" folder?

I tried to create filter which automatically copies sent to different recipients messages to other folder than "sent". I tried many times with different setting but it doesn't work. With inbox messages it works fine.

If you want to 'reply' to an email, but you want the sent reply to auto appear in the same folder of the message you are replying to.
Tools > Account Settings > Copies & folders for the mail account
There is a checkbox to select: 'Place replies on the folder of the message being replied to'
then click on OK to save changes.
If you want all sent emails not just replies to got to different fodlers based on who you sent the email to, then you would need to create a filter which when manually run moves selected emails to specific folders.
So let the sent emails get auto stored in Sent folder.
Tools > Message Filter
click on New
give filter suitable name
Apply filter when: manually run
select 'match all of the following'
To is email address
Perform these actions
Move message to and select the folder.
Do not enable.
When you need to run this filter,
open Message filter.
enable only the filters you require
Run selected filters on: Sent folder on the mail account
click on 'run now'
Best used when you have several sent emails which you need moving.
Not exactly what you are looking for, but works if organising loads of sent emails.

Problem Folders on my desktop are no longer showing any files inside

I have been using windows 7 quite a bit lately, but I logged on snow leopard, and all the folders on my desktop are empty. They show that they are still trying to load what is in them, but nothing ever comes.
this is obviously a huge problem as it currently appears all my files are gone...anyone have a solution or having this problem as well?

I went through all of these steps. I also downloaded AVG antivirus. It detected nine files that may have been malware and I deleted them. I have restarted my computer several times after this and the folders on my desktop are still not displaying properly. Also my folders are unable to be dragged around the desktop. The whole desktop is messed up.

Just got an iPhone 5, and learned that the 100 or more CDs that I had uploaded to iTunes on my older Mac cannot be downloaded to my new phone using iCloud/iMatch. I match is not compatible with the older operating systems. I spoke to a Apple genius, and he said that there is software out there that will do the job. Is anyone familiar with any of these? I regret to say that you need a new computer. That G5, as good as it still is, simply cannot run the required software to be used with the latest iPhones and other software.
