Since downloading Firefox 4, my internet and computer are SO SLOW; it is possible to just get Firefox 3 back?
I am not good with computers, I don't know all of the intricate details on what different things to check and change. I'd hoped to just download and go. It seems my computer can't support Firefox 4 for some reason, it now takes several minutes to navigate to different pages, and I often have to End Task and start all over. I just want the old version back-- is that possible?

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data. See https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+Firefox
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use
your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of
installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

In Windows 7, several of my icons went missing and were replaced by the generic MS icon. Firefox is one of them. How do I get it back. Restore defaults did not work.

Since firefox updated my browser is really big, even my desktop, I can't get everything to fit on my monitor and I don't know how to get the font/size smaller. I tried going to the desktop and hitting smaller font but it says that it is at "normal?.
Double tap your screen with three fingers, then zoom out. Go to Settings/General /Accessability and disable the zoom feature.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Never had this problem before i upgraded to 4.0Yes buddy, i have turned on the feature on every machine i have installed Firefox on. And every machine is in perfect healthy condition with 0 malware (for sure). And one more thing all machines have windows 7 installed on them. If what you are saying is true then there might be a conflict issue of Firefox with windows 7 which apparently Firefox guys might not be aware of. Its a pity that such a great software has small small bugs that these guys are not aware of and rectify.
No offense, but its kind of weird when you come to think of it: 5 alpha phases, 12 beta phases, and god knows how many RC phases to follow prior to the release of Firefox 4. This shows that the software has so many bugs. They could have thoroughly tested the product before going into the beta phase. People are being used as testers and not their professionals who have made the product. This shows that the product has been made by them with random thoughts in mind or CASUALLY to put it straight.
No offense but it seems that the team might be consisting of some casual or easy going or hippie engineers. Hence the long wait and small small unseen problems. -

As soon as I click on Google taskbar (without even typing in anything) the CPU usage jumps to 100% and STAYS at 100 %, and computer extremely slow.

Since downloading itunes 10 my ipod's features are messed up and many do not now work. Currently my problem is I want to delete some apps. It no longer shows on the left side of itunes. When I click on apps at the top, the apps appear shadowed and i cannot click on them. If I check the box to sync them it says I will lose what's on my ipod and the things in my library will replace them. What should I do?
If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. I was wondering can i install windows on my mac when i have downloaded windows form the internet and do not have a C.D.??
Because when i get to the part in Boot Camp Assistant that says Start Windows Installation it says u need a disc... is there no other way??Get the physical copy (disk) this will enable you to reinstall when (not if ) it messes up.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. -
So basically I downloaded music from the internet and edited the artist, album, album art and all that stuff on Itunes. But when I go back to windows explorer, i dont have those details
Possibilities are that you are working with copies of the originals in which case it is only the copies that get updated, or that the songs are in .wav format and cannot carry a tag, or are in some other format and didn't include a tag so iTunes hasn't created one even though it has recorded details internally, or that there are mp3 files with multiple tags. iTunes doesn't cope well with multiple tags (despite these conforming to standards) and in this case may be making changes to one copy while Windows Explorer continues to show unchanged data from another. Use a 3rd party tag tool to inspect a problem album, or select the tracks and use Right-click > Convert ID3 Tags > None two or three times to strip out the embedded tags, then use Convert ID3 Tags > v2.3 to recreate them.
Note the process of cleaning and rewriting the tags will remove any embedded art. You can use my script CreateFolderArt before and after converting the tags to preserve and then embed the artwork, provided that you don't store songs from different albums in the same folder. Test a single track or album first to make sure the process has the desired result and only apply where needed.

I'm guessing that you are referring to Tyne Internet in the UK? Are you forgetting your Tyne username and passcode, or one for the computer? To recover the Tyne, you will need to contact them. If it is your Mac, from what little I understand about Mac computers, do you have it in your Keychain?

Generally speaking, your bookmarks are private to your computer, and if you set up multiple Firefox profiles on your computer, to the one profile.
Your bookmarks might be available to you at another location if you used the Sync service. If you didn't use Sync or can't access your account, someone with access to your old computer could email you your bookmarks. Since there is a range of different ways to do that and the best choice might depend on what you can expect the person you ask to be able to do... could they start up Firefox in your profile and follow menu steps to export a file? Could they drill down into a hidden folder on the system, zip a file, and mail that to you? Etc.
