Since downloading Lion my XL, publisher and email open up automatically on reboot, can someone tell me how to stop this please.
Can someone help as since downloading Lion, I have XL, Publisher and email opening up on reboot all at once, gets annoying. Can you switch these off. I am a pretty new user on Mac. Thanks
Think reset is the way to go. Settings>general>reset>erase all contents. reconnect to iTunes and set it up as a new phone, not from previous back up.

I assume you're talking about Security Update 2012-004 for Snow Leopard? Have you by any changed moved your Mail application out of the Applications folder? This will cause updates to fail to work - Apple's included applications should always be left where Apple installed them.
If this is the case, move it back, then downlad the update from Security Update 2012-004 (Snow Leopard) and run it again. -
This is becoming too much. I'll have Google Chrome open and nothing else yet it still reaches 70 to 85 degrees celsius. I've tried everything but nothing works. None of these forums or videos are helping. Does anyone know what could be causing this? And how can i stop this? I'd appreciate it
Take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.

How do I delete and stop all of the unwanted 702 emails that are coming into my acct on my iPad. Sure there are more coming now.
Frontier will not help unless I agree to a costly protection. Apple says I have to have their extra contract or pay for a one-time fee.
I cannot use my acct on my iPad this way.Not something I would suspect Apple could help with. The most obvious solution is to,change your email address. You might also check with your email provider and see if there an any anti-spam settings on the server that would help.

I'm updating the music in my I-Tunes. I have an old 4GB Nano but I also have an I-Phone 4S. I only want music and nothin else on my I-Pod, how can I get it to sync without all the apps as, obviously the I-pod doesn't have enough memory?
"Other" is data that the iPod doesn't know how to deal with (but on your nano, it isn't Apps). All iPods have some quantity of "Other" on them. Sometimes Other is corrupt files that cannot be read.
The usual remedy when the quantity of Other becomes too big, is to Restore the iPod. However, 0.26GB of Other doesn't appear to be very much and I suspect you won't see much change, if any, if you Restore. -

the same problem happened to me also, i felt that while playing hay day, if some calls came in between and if i answered the call, the setting of all the icloud items turns off. (i have backup of all the items on icloud), after deleting the account and making settings of mail, contact, calander etc on on mode and after rebooting the phone, it again download from icloud server. but it is just a headache. do not know how to handle this.

.mac mail - I still use my .mac email address to access itunes, icloud, etc. Every once in a while, apple sends me confirmation, reservation, etc. emails to the .mac address. Can someone tell me how to access that email account?

Depending on when you originally set up your Apple ID, you may have @mac.com, @me.com, and @icloud.com email addresses associated with your account, but all mail sent to those addresses should still come in to the same iCloud account (you can test this to make sure by sending yourself emails at those addresses). To avoid having to pay again for apps you have already purchased, use the same Apple ID (likely the current one) on both devices. You can adjust this in:
Settings > iTunes & App Store.
So that you can communicate with each other, use separate Apple IDs for iCloud, Messages, and FaceTime. Adjust those in:
Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages
Settings > FaceTime -

It's best not to rely on rules constructed in Mail, or any other mail client. That can result in infinite mail loops (where your autoreply triggers someone else's autoreply, which triggers yours again, etc). You should use whatever vacation mail capability is provided by the mail server. Those are typically more robust, and have conditions that will prevent infinite mail loops from happening. Of course, you should also think twice about using vacation messages at all, since they can reply to spam, which can cause all kinds of problems.

Finder smart folder: "Search for:Today" has changed
