Since downloading newest itunes I can't transfer podcasts from desktop to ipod. ***??

I got the newest itunes version and since then when I download a podcast to my desktop I can't transfer it to my ipod. I used to drag it over with no problem. Now I just get the circle with a line. Can't open on itunes, can't put it in music library. ***??

Are you using automatic syncing to load the iPod?  Or do you load the iPod manually (by dragging items to the iPod in iTunes)?
Automatic syncing is the more convenient way to do it.  To sync automatically, select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, go to the Podcasts tab.  This is where you tell iTunes how you want podcasts synced to your iPod.  You can get pretty specific, down to the level of individual podcast episodes.  You should also set up the Music tab, to tell iTunes how you want your music library synced to your iPod.  When you click Apply, your iPod will load ("sync") based on how you set up those tabs.  Going forward, any changes that you make to your iTunes library (that related to those tabs) will sync automatically, when you connect the iPod or click the Sync button.
If you want to load the iPod manually, on the Summary tab, you need to check the checkbox that says Manually manage music (and Apply the change). If it's currently not checked, the iPod is set for automatic syncing, so you cannot drag items to the iPod in iTunes to load them.

  • Sound problems since downloading newest iTunes

I recently downloaded the newest version of iTunes. Since then I have
been having sound problems with my computer. Sound through the monitor
is ok. Sound through the speakers is really low (ie: need to turn
speaker volume way up to hear music). I tried burning a CD using music in
iTunes and the CD volume is so low that I need to turn the speaker
volume (in my car/stereo) way up to hear the music. Are there any
adjustments in iTunes that I can make to adjust this volume? Is this a problem
with the newest iTunes version? Should I uninstall iTunes and if so
can I reset to an older version so as not to risk losing my music? I
have tried listening to other sound bites - like movie trailers - since I
downloaded this new version of iTunes and the sound volume is very low
    through the computers speakers.

Go to a low volume song and see what the volume setting on the song is...(it's under options in get info)...if the setting is uniformly low, select all your music and then select get info, and you can raise the sound an all of them at once...
    Good luck!

  • Downloaded newest iTunes, now can't see cheap movies in the right hand side topics; where did it go - how do I get to them?

Downloaded the newest itunes, now I can no longer see the "cheap" movies listed on the links to the right hand side.  Where did they go, and how do I now get to them?  I tried search and that didn't work.

Are they gone completely from the computer, or just no longer in the library? Check your movie media folder.
If your'e in the USA you can download some movies a second time, but not all (studio dependent).  You should always back up all media.

  • How can I transfer podcasts from my iPod to my iTunes library?

I have what I believe are called "phantom podcasts" - there are 1022 podcasts on my iPod from KEXP Song of the Day. For some reason, these 1022 podcasts do not show up anywhere in my iTunes library, nor on my computer. I'd like to transfer them from my iPod to my MacBook so I can listen to them and delete whichever ones I dislike. This is taking up way too much space on my iPod.
I've tried creating a Smart Playlist per an online suggestion to no avail. They're nowhere to be found, except on my iPod.
    Thanks.

    Hello Lo-fiChick,
The KEXP Song of the Day podcast can be located and subscribed to in iTunes on your computer via the following link. Once subscribed, the podcasts can be downloaded to your computer and removed from your iPod.
    KEXP Song of the Day
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/kexp-song-of-the-day/id121393815?mt=2
To ease the process of downloading such a large number of episodes, you can adjust the podcast settings once subscribed to 'Keep: All Episodes' and 'Download: All Episodes.'

  • I just bought a new ipod shuffle, how can i transfer music from my old ipod onto the new one

How do I transfer from my old ipod to my new ipod

You can't transfer it directly.  If the old iPod is set to sync to your iTunes library on the computer, everything on the iPod is in your iTunes library.  Just set up the shuffle to sync from your iTunes library as desired.
If the old iPod is set to Manually manage music, AND there are songs on the iPod that are not in your current iTunes library, please post back.

  • How can I transfer music from an old Ipod to a new one?

I have an older Ipod and just bought an I pod touch.  How can I transfer the music from my old one to the new one?
    Thanks!

All of your music should be in itunes on your computer.  If it is not, then put it there.
You can then sync it to the ipod.

  • Can you transfer pictures from an old ipod touch to a new ipod touch without having the old ipod touch or the photos in Iphoto?

I somewhat recently got a new ipod touch after my screen cracked and the people at an Apple store said it would be cheaper to buy a new device completely.  I followed everything they said about backing up my old device and when I went to pick up the new one, the store took the old one away.
Up until just a few days ago I did not realize Iphoto could hold pictures from your ipods.  Mine never did it automatically, nor did anything ever seem to have the option to do.  It just so happened that two days ago I was browsing the web when I noticed a website gave instructions on how to transfer photos.  So I tried it and it worked for my new ipod while all the new photos.
But I was wondering if I could somehow get the old photos back from Itunes or my computer somewhere and transfer them into Iphoto or my new device.  I was hoping that maybe if I could "back up" my old stuff onto my new ipod for a few moments it would show I have the old photos and I could transfer them into Iphoto and then restore the ipod touch back to what I have it currently.
If it helps, I'm pretty sure the old ipod touch I had was a 3gen as my new one I noticed was skinnier.  As I said, I do not have the old touch anymore but I have the data in Devices on my Itunes if that makes a difference.  Both my data for my old one and new one are in the Devices section of Itunes.
    Thanks,
    Dragonhatchling

  • How can I transfer songs from my old Ipod to my new one?

I just bought a new ipod video from apple and I would like to transfer all of my songs from my old 3rd generation ipod to my new one, how can I do this?

Download iRip, the program will detect your iPod then select "recover". If you have a firewire connection this will be fast. If you have a new iPod then you'll wait a little longer for your music to be ripped. When everything's recovered you eject the old iPod and connect the new one, drag'n drop, voilá. Don't forget to get rid of your music once you are sure it's installed -and maybe backuped in a external hard drive- so your computer memory won't be affected.
I use mac, I'm noticing that you are windows, if this don't work, google "rip ipod" and you'll find something there. Hope it works!

  • How can I transfer podcast from iMac G4 to iPad?

    Hello,
I used to download a radio program -- 11+MB -- to my MacBook Nothing; but it was stolen.
Now, I am using an iMac G4 running Tiger; when the program is downloaded it goes to iTunes, in Music.
After that, I add the date to the number of the episode and change the file to manage it as a podcast.
I want to be able to bring some of these episodes to my iPad running iOS 6 -- not using iCloud.
How canI get this done? I have a Wi-Fi network at home.
    Best regards,
Jorge Lucas (the guy from Rio Grande do Sul)

I installed a new iTunes (same as the one I had [11.1.5]).
I still only have Apps, Books, TV, Movies, and Music, as options for connection.
