Since downloading the latest Firefox upgrade, I can no longer open links from webpages or from email. How do I fix this?
Since downloading Firefox 5.0, I cannot open links.
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

if you set up only iMessage account, you cannot change the status, because iMessage has no status.
You should set up another service (for example AIM) with status service. Initially I didn't understand this "issue" too, but it is correct. -
I like to listen to internet radio while i'm working, but since downloading the newest version of Firefox each time the screen goes into powersaver mode the radio goes off.

I have attempted to reset the network settings, nothing changed. The wireless router is working and has nothing wrong with it. Ever since I downloaded the software update, WiFi connection can not happen and every time I try to do anything that uses the internet it directs me to the apple support site. How can this be resolved?
I've tried the following:
* Settings | General | Reset | Reset Network Settings (Twice)
* Settings | General | Reset | Reset All Settings (Once)
* Plugging it in and doing a "Restore" through iTunes (that's how I downloaded iOS 5.1.1 in the first place)
All the passcodes and restrictions are are turned off.
When I first try to connect to the network, I'm prompted to enter my username and password (I've elected to "forget" the network a few times so I can get this screen again). If I enter it wrong, then I just get an error that I'm not connected. When I enter it right, I get a warning that the certificate is "not verified". When I click on "More Details", I can see all the information that got pulled from the network (Issuer Name, Signature Algorithm, Public Key Algorithm, Key Usage, etc.). When I choose to "Accept", I get the little icon indicating that it's trying to connect...this never goes away (I let it run for an hour).
The encryption type on the main Wifi I'm trying to connect to says it's RSA (I'm guessing it's WEP though...I didn't set it up, our IT group did that). -
Since downloading the latest firefox, the secure padlock logo bottom right has disappeared.
When logging in to a site, for example my bank, the two security feature I checked for on the screen were 'https' before the address and a padlock symbol in the bottom right hand corner. Since downloading Firefox, 'https' still shows but the padlock symbol doesn't.

I can no longer open attachments. Error message XPCOM. How do I fix
I used to be able to open all attachments - now I cant open any. The error message simply says XPCOM How do I fix?
I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -
I can load Recon as normal, and when I select Beta Chat, another tab opens and the logo appears. But this is as far is it gets.
This began immediately after the the update before the most recent (v3.6.12). I was hoping that this latest update today would rectify the problem, but it hasn't.It doesn't say, but I think it's likely. However I use several other sites with Java chat, and they work perfectly, and I do allow all the regular updates of Java.
I had a look at the link you gave, but I couldn't find anything when I searched "Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_15". Should I just download a completely new exe, and would I need the two optinal files for kernel and online installation? -

Tap and hold on the word you want to search for, and tap on Define. Then tap on Manage, and tap on the cloud button to use as many dictionaries as you have available.

I just updated my itunes after receiving an alert through my windows 8. My laptop automatically restarts after an update to secure the changes in setting and applications. But a minute after opening itunes and its loaded, a windows alert pops up stating that Itunes has stopped working. How can I fix the problem without losing the music in my Itunes?

Have ylu tried the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

i use poli to tranfer funds to firms.it used to work and still works on internet explorer, but since i downloaded the latest firefox update it dosen't work.

The last OS update for SL was OS 10.6.8. If that's the case you posted in the wrong forums. You should be posting in the SL forums.
If you are using Mail for your Gmail account, did you check the sound settings in Mail Preferences? Please detail what you have done so far in the way of troubleshooting? Need this info to avoid the "been there done that" scenarios. -
Immediately after I downloaded the latest firefox security update my computer will no longer access the internet. I still have a fine wireless connection but Firefox, Internet Explorer, Itunes, and every other program will no longer access the internet, saying there is a connection error. I even tried restoring my system to a previous date but it said that a security program was preventing it from doing so.
What's the security program called? Is it '''Win 7 Security''' by any chance? There's a rogue AV app that will prevent internet access by that name. It comes in many different flavours, but it's basically the same product with different names depending on the operating system its aimed at. See screenshot.
Do you have another computer you can use to download Malwarebytes? Or can you get a friend to download it for you and copy it to a USB drive? Download from here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
You can use the USB drive to transfer the program to your own PC and then install it. -
Since downloading the latest ios my ipad2 asks for a passcode to get in. Since I have never had one I cant give it one and I cant open it up. How do I bypass the this please.
I have seen other users talk about this and make the same claim. Unfortunately, even if you didn't set a passcode, and the iPad is insisting that you did, unless you can successfully guess what the passcode is, you still have to follow these instructions and use one of the methods in here in order to restore your iPad which will then unlock it.
