Since downloading the latest version of iTunes, now the screen on my pc shows 'synch in progress' nonstop but my iPod Touch and iPod Classic don't reflect the synch.

Since upgrading to latest iTunes, iTunes constantly shows synching to my iPods but nothing is being reflected on my iPod Touch or iPod Classic...

    The Apple Mobile Device Service is a part of sever programs that "help" iTunes on Windows. It may have been disabled in the Microsoft program, msconfig, or using a third party utility, such as CCleaner.
    I would suggest trying to find and enable the service. To do so, click on the start button, click "run",  and then type "msconfig" look for the iTunes Helper entry and make sure that it's enabled.
    Additionally, there may be another service which you will have to enable. You can type something like "service.msc", (I'm not sure exactly) to see the "Services" control panel and look for it there.
    If you can't find either, feel free to post here again.

  • Just downloaded the latest version of itunes now most of my tracks will not play to the end of the song.

    Hi just installed latest update to itunes and have just noticed that it will no longer play my tracks all the way to the end mainly stopping around 8 sec from the end has anyone else had this problem have all ready tried deleting libery and re-installing it but still doesnt work. please help
    PS All songs play ok though Media Player so not corupted data.

    Just in case, check to see if "Crossfade songs" has been checked in your Playback preferences in iTunes. Here's a screenshot showing where to find it:
    If it is checked, try unchecking it and click OK.

    Thanks, but I checked - iTunes Match is turned off in my iPad. In fact I am not subscribed to iTunes Match.
    After docking iPad to my PC, I clicked the iPad icon in the side bar of iTunes. Then I tried to drag and drop music from my iTunes library into the iPad. But it doesn't go!
    I am not syncing iPad with iTunes on my PC because an alert is appearing to erase all the earlier stuff which I had transferred to my iPad from a different computer. This is eventhough the 'selected playlists....' is checked.
    I am signed into both Ipad and iTunes using the same ID.

    Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
    Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
    If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

    Ever since I downloaded the latest version of itunes (on Windows 7), I can no longer paste text into the info boxes when I edit song information. I can’t paste by right-clicking or Ctrl+V, this is driving me crazy because I’m trying to add info on a Russian artist with Cyrillic letters and I can’t do it! I didn’t buy the song from itunes so it can’t be issues with Copyrighting although the same thing happens with songs from the store and every other song in my library. I can paste text into the lyrics section but that’s it. I restarted my computer after reinstalling the latest versions of itunes and Firefox today hoping it would fix my problem but it didn’t.     Itunes is annoying me more than ever. With the constant updates you’d think they would be able to improve all bugs but once one problem is fixed another occurs and it’s so irritating because I couldn’t care less about how my library looks as long as everything is organized in a simple way and I can sync my ipod without spending forever on itunes re-editing stuff and readjusting to updated layout changes.     That would be Manually manage, not Manually syncing.
    Click the drop down arrow at top left the Show menu.
    Then iTunes menu View > Show sidebar.

    I downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my PC.  Now I cannot open iTunes.  I receive the following error message: "The procedure entry point AVCFAssetCreateWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVfoundationCF.dll"  After pressing the "OK" button I receive a second error message: 'iTunes not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 127)".  I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled to no avail.  I've also eliminated the temp files (per suggestions on the trouble-shooting page) and no luck.  I also tried system restore and that did not fix the problem.  Any thougths on a repair?

    This is a copy of ONEof the keys  in the registry I changed  as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR  software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others  they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so  I downloaded the software and installed again.
    Sorry, just this minute went to insert image  and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content  is not allowed?.
    The most recent key I altered is in: HKey _local _machine. System\class - 4D36E965-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318. Upper Filter data: Upper filter NTIDrvr  SiRem GEARAspiWDN.
