Since downloading Yosemite I can't download Adobe Flash.
I am not able to get Adobe Flash to complete download.
It goes all the way through the download, but doesn't show up in either launchpad or in my app. files.
Have tried multiple times.
Did you run the installer? The installer for Flash is a real piece of work. What you download isn't flash, and it isn't even the installer. It's a downloader for the installer, which launches a separate process, which makes you quit pretty much every piece of software on your Mac, and then maybe it runs.
When it's done, you won't see Flash in LaunchPad. You'll see a preference pane in System Preferences.

1. Save downloaded files to "Downloads" folder.
Safari > Preferences > General
Save downloaded files to:
Select "Downloads".
2. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button.
Install Adobe Flash Player.

The next step is important.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.

thank you for your promt message. I have download the installer like many times before and install the flashplayer like many times before, too. But it does not work ... only getting the black screen ... but then, after checking some settings and defaults i realize that i have to switch in Safari > Security > Plug in to status activated !!!
Shame on me and sorry for wasting your time, but i started with Mac 3 weeks before and have to leave windows-thinking !!! But i am convinced that mac is the better way ...

I'm having trouble printing envelopes using OS 10.10.1 Yosemite. Can I download an earlier version as HP support (my printer) advises?
Open System Preferences, choose Printers and Scanners, and you can change the default paper size, which includes different Envelope sizes. My HP printer has the image for the direction of the envelope. I have the OfficeJet 4630, and am currently using the Yosemite defaulted drivers after updating.

I had issues with my printer at first as well after installing Yosemite but deleted my old HP utilities, then allowed Apple default HP driver in, then re-downloaded HP drivers, and this worked for me in all formats, including printing envelopes. -

If your launchpad icon is displayed on your dock, you should see a status bar underneath it showing download progress.

My iPad is downloading my video purchases automatically, but it's only downloading two episodes from Supernatural S10 that I have watched and deleted. I can't stop it from downloading, and I can't download anything else because of it. I don't know what to do. There is some sort of glitch happening and it's really affecting my iPad. I've tried letting it download but before it completes, it says it is unable to complete process and asks me to try again. I am on a limited interest data plan and can't afford these downloads to continue. What can I do?
Have you tried deleting the App within the Settings menu (rather than from the Home Screen)?

It has been available at some online retailers (Amazon) and EBay – but only as part of the discontinued Final Cut Studio suite. It would be cost--prohibitive to buy and there are other more cost-effective solutions. Depending on what you need to do, MPEG Streamclip might be a (free) solution. There are others – Episode, for example, which is not cheap at $500– but less than haf the cost of buying an used copy of FCS.
Another approach (and the one I would follow in your situation) would be to install Mavericks on an external, bootable drive. Run a copy of FCP 10.1 and Compressor 4.1 from that drive.

It sounds like you are trying to download a previous purchase to your iPad but the item never downloads. I would recommend starting by closing all the apps that are running in the background.

Hello- I recently upgraded to OS Mountain Lion on my iMac and cannot download the most current version of Adobe Flash Player. I even uninstalled the old Flash version but this did not resolve the issue. Could somebody please assist? Thank you.
Hello- I was able to resolve the issue after clicking on the top right hand corner that shows the recent downloads (it has that down arrow). I realized that I had tried downloading the Adobe Flash Player Install Manager about 7 times, but still needed to click on the file and install! So I erased all the duplicates and installed one of the Flash Player Install Managers and it finally worked! Yay!

Can you find adobe flash player 11.5.502.55?
I have a power pc and 10.5.8 i find a discussion about a flash player on 11.5.502.55, but i couldn't find it. Now the 10.102.64 now the flash player not working it goes 50% but never finish installation. So i'm going to a older version on google to download the flash player 90280. otherwise can you find it 11.5.502.55, all i find out was youtube and i needed a latest flash player.
At some point I'd posted some method for patching a Flash player so it would appear as 11.5.502... and thought to try & find it among previous discussions; and for some reason I could only go back 500 discussions. So I did not find that post.
Given the Flash player is essentially obsolete for the outdated OS X version(s) the patch is a way to allow some sites and some content to load in a browser that otherwise may not. However because it is not improved regularly, there is content that probably won't work even if you use the patch and run a later version.
The instructions are in a read-me richtext file in the patch folder; the Plugin update is included and you swap out the older plugin with a newer 11.5.xx included in the download file. It seems to do OK and my older Macs can use it. (Even my early Intel-based MacBook with Leopard 10.5.8 has a patch, since it hasn't a current Flash either.) See their 'read first' file to see what you need to do to get the patch to work. Save the old part in another folder so you could revert it. And test the Flash player version after the patch update. This does not use a regular installer; you re-use part of the existing Flash player

Given the moving-target nature of the internet web page content, browser and OS
technology update or change, and obsoletism of various products, you cannot
expect these items to last; you will have to upgrade the system at some point, and
because the hardware limits you in PowerPC (and other) a newer computer device
is another prospect if you require an online presence and need Flash player plugins.

Here's the situation. A while back the new version tried to download on my and other computers without success. Due a problem I uninstalled flash player. Since then i couldn't install 11 on this computer. unfortunately now I had to download Google chrome (SUCKS!!!!!) I've gone through the help suggestions and still no go. Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
