Since Firefox updated, it wont open. Just flicks a black screen with some text on it. Wont connect to websites through skype or email either. Please help?
I have tried uninstalling FF but it won't let me do that either. I would be extremely grateful for some support please. I would be happy to just be able to link to a website via my email. I'm using google chrome in the meantime and just cut and paste links that way. Have a lovely day

Just upgraded my iPad to IOS5 and when the download was completed, a window said that there was an error and it could not restore. Now I have a black screen with the Apple logo and the circle lines. None of the buttons respond. Help, please!!
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Maybe this will let the iPad reboot and then you may need to restore again but see if this helps to start the iPad first.

i have macbook pro 13.3 inch. I am installing window 7 in boot camp manager after copying file of window upto 67% it doesn't response and i had forcely shotdown my macbook. Now my macbook doesn't open and stop in black screen with cursor blinking. Now how could i open my macbook pro.
At startup hold down the Option/Alt key and from the screen that comes up select your OS X partition to start the computer from. Then use the Boot Camp Assistant app to Remove Windows and the partition you reated for it and it will Automatically place the space you allocated for the Windows install back into the OS X partition.
NOTE:
Do NOT use Disk Utility to erase the partition that was created for the Windows install. Use the Boot Camp Assistant app again to do that. -

Ipad 4 updating to ios 8.1 - stuck on black screen with logo no progress bar
So, I downloaded the update for 8.1 on my ipad 4 and trying to install it and I notice it is just the black screen with apple logo. There is no progress bar. Occasionally the ipad screen shuts itself off and then back on. It almost seems like it is working but without a progress bar. Though, I am worried as it has been about an hour or so now and I do not have the slightest clue what is going on.
It appears that the download might be corrupt. But try resetting the iPad and it might resume the download and install of the IOS. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen, when the device restarts, maybe the update will resume.
However, if you continue to experience what you are experiencing, try restoring using recovery mode.

Just get a black screen with my new Apple TV...help?
Just got my Apple TV 2.0 and connected via HDMI to my Denon AVR-2807 receiver. Assigned the HDMI in accordingly to VCR-2. After switching the Denon input to VCR-2, I get nothing but a black screen...not even an intermittent flicker or startup or logo? No video or audio signal whatsoever. Light on front of Apple TV is solid white. Can anyone help? I am assuming I need to do the Apple TV update that a few of you have mentioned but how do I do this when I can't even pull up a menu? Would appreciate your input.
Is your TV telling you anything else besides just a black screen? It sounds like you have a great TV and aTV should be able to send a signal to it.
Unplug the aTV and plug it in again. Any improvement? Any chance you can check it out on another TV, perhaps with component outputs?
One thing to check: Follow the user guide information on how to change video modes. This means using the Apple Remote to adjust the output. My TV (a 4.5-year-old DLP widescreen that only does 720p actual) showed "Video mode not supported" until I adjusted aTV to output 720p.
If those suggestions don't get you anywhere, you will probably have to exchange it. -
I Updated the new Iso 8 when it came out. I lost my wifi connections so tried to update phone to the latest version of ISO and it kept saying connection lost and couldn't download. I was doing this via iTunes because I had no wifi. So I decided to restore my phone, it went through the process and then just froze with black screen and apple logo. iTunes won't find it now. my D link Di-624 is on mu windows laptop can connect to it but my macbook pro cant, the airport symbol at the top says that is connected to the router but the internet still does not work. when i do diagnostics the network status page says this

mattIt's good you know the router address. Are you saying that your PC isn't connecting to the router's 192.168.0.1 address? Or your MBP?
I was suggesting connecting to the 192.168.x.x address with your PC so you can manipulate the settings.
Try from your PC, and change the encryption to WPA (which means as soon as you make this change, your PC will need to be updated with the WPA pass phrase). Macs tend to work better with non-WEP encryption IIRC.
EDIT: BTW - I use WPA-PSK [TKIP] for my encryption

Since firefox updated to FF9, it just hangs after started
ealier today, FF updated on its own from FF8 which i had installed, no FF9. ever since it did that, i can no longer access any website. whenever i enter the browser. any website that i try to surf to, just gets stuck on the loading sign, and does nothing. the system resources that FF takes spike to the roof, and until i kill the app, i cannot do anything. i tried re-installing.. that didnt help.

A couple months ago I updated my iPod touch to the most recent ios (6.1.3). Now, my music works normally except for one thing: some of it is gray colored and unplayable. I have one album of music that I actually bought on my iPod and only one song in it is playable. I also have some music that I bought on my computer and synced into my iPod and only choice music of that collection is playable. Then I have four of five tangible albums that I bought and downloaded onto my computer and then synced to my iPod. It's just so weird how only some choice songs or albums are unplayable, but a lot of it is of some of my favorites artists, so I really hope this can be fixed! Thanks!
