Since I installed 7.6, my IPod (5th Gen) can't find my games

EVERYTHING was fine until I installed 7.6. After doing so I had to restore my IPod 4 times, and now the $30 worth of games that I once had on there, cannot be found. They're in/on my computer, and they're in my ITunes Library but it says that my "games cannot be found." I found them, and they were once there on my IPod (5th generation 30GB), but not they won't sync up somehow. I tried the draggin them out of the library onto my desktop, then dragging them to the devices section to my IPod, still doesn't work.
Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any suggestions?

I am running Windows XP with a 5th generation Ipod and have had similar issues. (itunes would not sync games to ipod; Received error stating games could not be found yet they were in the Games Folder of iTunes Library.) I followed the itunes trouble shooting procedures and did not resolve my problem. I discussed this with itunes tech support for over a week and got no where.
I have been monitoring this message board and have yet to find a solution.

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

Some other apps say iOS 4+ but don't list the iPod Touch 2nd gen in the description, so I'm guessing they just don't work no matter the OS. However, the apps listed above say OS 3+ and just say ipod touch, so I think they should work. I'm running iTunes 10.3 but not the most recent release, and am updating as I type just in case that's the problem. Thanks for any help or advice!

I have had my 30 GB iPod video for about 7 years, it was a gift and has served me well. Unfortunately it was in my pocket when I brushed up against a very powerful magnet which latched onto the unit and scrambled the hardware. Sad iPod icon.
I was told I probably need to replace the HD in order to get it back to working order. What I am wondering is, would I be able to replace it with a larger capacity drive so long as I got a unit that was slim enough to fit into the casing?

Which Windows version are you trying to install? If I remember right, you can't use windows 8 on these older machines.
Other than that it's hard to say what could have gone wrong. I can only suggest going through the steps again carefully and making sure everything worked the way it should.

The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. I just bought ant ipod 5th gen from Americans store but it was a display when I got ready to set it up it don't let me go pass the disable connect to iTunes screen. I try restoring it but it don't let me it takes about 1 hour to load and then it gets to the same screen it asks me to enter the passcode on the ipod and then continue with the restoring but I can't enter the passcode sense it won't let me go more then the disable connect to iTunes screen. Kenwood X991 & iP200 cable with iPod 5th Gen 80GB does NOT work correctly

I have a conundrum. My wife has the 4th Gen v1.2.1 iPod 30GB which works fine on my Kenwood X991 Head Unit. I recently purchased the "new" 80GB iPod 5th Gen with the latest version "1.0.2" which does NOT work properly. The iTunes software tells me that this 1.0.2 is the latest software.
When I attach my iPod to my stereo, it states "Reading" for eternity. It DOES play music but only plays Alphabetical Order ONLY. There is no ability to stop, change, fast-forward, reverse, etc....the only thing you can do is click "Source" to change to CD Player or Tuner, etc...
Does anybody out there know what is going on? I have a request into Kenwood as well. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Thanks for the help. It's an iPod Classic then 80GB. The unit plays when plugged in but does not allow searching, or switching songs nor displays as it is supposed to. My wife's 30GB works with no problems. Of note:
Her 30GB = v1.2.1
My 80GB = 1.0.2
Mine is newer by about 6 months. Both are the latest software according to the screen.
Kenwood has said to "reset the head unit" and "make sure I've got it plugged in properly". I need to try the reset part next but the last statement is funny to me. I can install a head unit, amplifier, re-run all speaker wire, install a Dual 10" subwoofer box, solder and wire tie all connections from a factory unit to a 3rd party Cable manager kit, but I need to "make sure" I know how to plug in an iPod cable.....laughable.

I can't sync playlists from my iPod 5th gen to my iTunes library on new laptop

I have a new laptop and have managed to move all my music to it and install iTunes and all the albums are correct and present, but it was a bit complicated. I'm not sure if we missed a step in moving everything via a larger hard drive, but my playlists were not transferred and even though my iTunes recognises my iPod 5th gen it won't actually sync. I have run the diagnostic test, it says it's all fine. It won't sync new purchases and I can't copy playlists from my iPod back into the iTunes library. I have 15 playlists and I don't want to do it all over again. Does anyone have any ideas?

I did find that if I bought new songs from iTunes that I could transfer them to playlists on my iPod, but otherwise when I connect the iPod, under settings (on the left under the device icon) if I select music, it brings up the tick box for sync music. If I try to tick that box, it asks if I am sure if I want to remove existing music and sync with this iTunes library.

Every time I try and record and play it back its just all fuzzy, is there anyway of fixing it without having to send it off for repair?
