Do you see a Last 7 days folder?
If not then older history has been deleted. 
Firefox 5 doesn't use a time limit to store history like previous Firefox 3 versions did.

Get the following when booting Firefox 4.0 with Snow Leopard 10.6.7: [JavaScript Application} can't creatre mcafee plug-in objects: type error: components.classes {cid} is undefined.

On both MacBooks running latest Mac OS when starting Firefox. Did not have this problem with previous versions.

That indicates that the extension is not compatible with Firefox 4. You can check with McAfee to see if they have an updated version for the Mac that works on Firefox 4.

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

What version of iTunes are you using? The error you references seems to be connected with iTunes 9.0.4. That version of iTunes is not compatible with iOS 6. You need to update to the current version of iTunes.

You are seeing the message because the new AirPort Extreme has some specific System Requirements:

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later and AirPort Utility 1.3
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and AirPort Utility 6.3
AirPort Utility 5.6.1 in Snow Leopard may or may not work correctly with the new Extreme for all functions. As long as things are working OK for now, you can probably leave them "as is" and wait for another Mavericks update to fix some issues before you "upgrade".
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you could use that to administer any settings changes on the new Extreme.

If you force an extension to install by overriding the compatibility then the result can be unpredicted. 
The extension may work or may not work or cause error messages like you posted. 
You always need to be careful with forcing extensions to install.
You may need to check extensions.checkCompatibility prefs on the about:config page.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
