Try these steps as needed:
Reset phone: press both the home and power buttons, releasing when the Apple logo appears
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. You will have to re-enter WiFi passwords
Connect phone to iTunes on your computer and update using iTunes

Yes, the iBook should run even with no battery installed.
These are the four most common possibilities when the battery will not charge:
(1) there is something wrong with your battery
(2) there is something wrong with your power adapter
(3) there is something wrong with your power input board (the part that contains the port where you plug in the adapter)
(4) there is something wrong with your logic board
Since you have eliminated all the possibilities except (4), it is likely that your logic board is having problems. The PMU (Power Management Unit) is part of the logic board, and it may be going out (hence, temporarily working again when you reset it). Since the iBook is not running reliably without the battery in place (as it should), replacing the battery most likely would be futile.
When a computer gets to be five years old, it seems a bit short-sighted to pay very much for repairs, just to have something else go wrong sooner rather than later. Have you had a look at the hugely improved specs on the new MacBooks? Is it time for a new portable to avoid embarrassment during your presentations? It sounds like that could be your best option. -

Ever since I downloaded the last itunes and quicktime update ( a week or so ago), I can't access any movies or video podcasts i have store in itunes on my pc (vista). iTunes crashes and my error reports tell me it is a quicktime error. You can continue to use the current AppleID for iTunes, but your husband can create a new AppleID to use to create a new iCloud account that will be his own and not overlap with yours. If you do not have another email address to use for an AppleID, just get a free Gmail account and use that.
You can have as many AppleIDs as you want (or at least, as many as you have email addresses for). You can use a separate AppleID for the store, another for iCloud, and even another for iMessage if you wish.
You will want to keep the current one as the shared one for the store as all your previous purchases are permanently tied to it, and thus you need that AppleID to update or redownload your current purchased content. -
I have been updating my PSE since 10. Recently I purchased PSE13 as I didn't see an update for my 12. I was changing to a new laptop as my old laptop had been patched and worked and was showing signs of giving out. It was a Window's 7OS. My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move. I recently updated iTunes to version 10.3.1.55. Since then when I try to sync my IPod classic it says on the top of iTunes (where the barbers pole is) "Step 1of1 Determining Tracks to Sync". This stays like that for about 15 minutes before a message pops up saying "Itunes could not copy ""song title name here"" to the Ipod because an unknown error occurred (-50)". This message pos up for every song title that has been added to itunes since the itunes update. Therefore I am unable to sync any new music. This only happens when syncing the ipod as the iphone syncs with no problems.

I have I-phone 4S - Since updating to IOS 6, when at home with Wi-Fi network with my I Phone connection is not responding sometimes – for example if I want to check my G-mail it shows loading but nothing happens and after few minutes it displays “Cannot Get Mail” – The mail server “imap.gmail.com is not responding, Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings
Other times the Wi-Fi connection works fine and it check e-mail or other within few seconds. The connection problems seems to be intermitted
This issue never happened before with IOS 5 since I bought the new phone in Oct 2011.We suffered the imap.gmail.com server problem After an IoS 6 upgrade. The simple solution is to delete the problem account, shut down the iPad, start up again and reenter the account. Everything comes back normally. Good Luck everyone!

Since I updated my iphone 4 software from 4.3.3/4.3.5 - bought brand new only 2 weeks before the update came out - to iOS 5, my bluetooth no longer works in me ford fiesta and when I ring people, they literally can not hear a word I say. It has nothing to do with poor signal areas as they are the same areas I was in with the same phone before the software update! i have even sent for a replacement phone and received a reconditioned phone (after paying excess charge - JOKE!) and the same problem occured when I updated again. I cannot believe there is no downgrade as this iOS 5 is a shambles and to be honest, I see very little difference in terms of apps and photos so i have no idea why apple are recommending this upgrade!
Is there anything I can do to improve the fact that nobody can hear me on the phone when I speak?!! Or are apple going to insist I keep a phone that is of no use to me if I can't actually use it as a PHONE!

Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all?? -

This means the iPhone was hacked to be unlocked. The 3GS was not sold in the US as officially unlocked.
Restoring an iPhone with iTunes that was hacked to be unlocked or installing a firmware update on an iPhone that was hacked to be unlocked re-locks the iPhone to the carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked when new. In this case, re-locked with ATT. -
I recently updated to iTunes 11 on my Windows PC. Since the update, each time I open iTunes its window is too large for my screen. Resizing it is a pain, because I have to change my screen resolution. And then when I restart iTunes, it has reverted back to being too large. Please help!
Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it. It will now fit the screen. Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes. The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds. Apple should fix this. Should.

Since this last update, something has happened to not only my phone, but to my daughters phone as well. We are constantly having to restart our phone and have no cell coverage or internet access in places we used to have no problems at all. This is very aggravating and I am ready to ditch the phone for something else! Please help!
I have a S3 and this is driving me crazy. I have taken the battery out (left out for 2 hours in dark place inside original box, SIM card out, hard reset, soft reset, and anything else I could think of including going back to factory settings.
My phone will turn off in the middle of something I am doing. No matter what it is. I still get signal and am able to talk to people. But I use my phone for work and it is starting to get annoying when you have to re-start the email you were typing because your phone turned off and a draft was not saved.
This is my replacement phone that I got back in March/April of this year. I have an otter box for it and had no problems with the other phone until I dropped it (no otter box).
Not to mention my battery will say its like at 80% in the middle of taking a picture and then it wont turn on until I have connected to a charger because it wont turn on without it because from the time I wanted to take the picture to when I turn it on, I lost 75% of my battery.
Or if I get lucky and it will turn on, I have lost half of my battery charge no what percentage it is.
Please help me fix this as I need a working phone and it is not great having to carry a portable charger with me at all times. -
