I had an app which disables an iPhone to connect to the internet via mobile network. In the meantime I have deleted that app but it still affects my phone. For example iPhone shows that 3G sign on the top (next to the time) but it is unable to open any website. Is there anything I can do about it?
What was the app you are referring to? I'm not aware of anything on the app store that is designed to do that, unless you're talking about an app that was causing a problem...
Was/is your phone jailbroken? -
If my iphone is connected to the internet via wifi will it use my cellular data if I use it as a personal hotspot or will it use the wifi's internet???
The wireless on my laptop brokebut I can still connect to my phone when I plug it in. My iphone is connected to the wifi but is this being transfered onto the laptop or is it using up my data???Personal hotspot shares your cellular connection with other devices via cable, bluetooth or WiFi. If you turn on the hotspot, the phone will be disconnected from the WiFi network you are on and share access to the cellular connection. That's what it's for. It's using your data plan if that's what you're trying to do.

Normally I have my IMac, I-Pad and Windows Laptop all working on my home network via wi-fi. This week I find that I cannot access the inetrnet on my IMac or I-pad via wi-fi but I can connect to the internet via wi-fi with my windows based laptop.
The airport diagnostics (reds/yellows) indcate that I am connected
I can access the internet if I plug my IMac into the router via an ethernet cable
I have restarted the IMac and the I-Pad, rebooted the router and created a new network. None of these changes has made a difference. Does anyone have any ideas please? You have not completed your profile so we cannot assist you. Read this. If it doesn't solve your problem, take it to an Apple Store (hardware problem)

When mozilla asked my for an update several months ago I chose to skip the install and wait. Did the install soon after and firefox stopped working even though my connection to the internet is fine. I uninstalled mozilla firefox, used another browser to access the mozilla website to reinstall firefox. This fixed my problem and firefox was working again, until another update came along. This time attempting to uninstall and reinstall did nothing. Once again I am left using another browser to use the support forum and firefox is not working. Please help!!
That is an indication that a firewall is blocking the new version of Firefox. For details see [[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]].

Cannot connect to the Internet via PPPoE in Windows manually?
In Lion there is a little triangle after the Wi-Fi name (SSID) that can connect and disconnect the Internet via PPPoE. But how to do the same thing in Windows? Is it possible?
And there is also a bug in Mac OS --- if you choose to show the connected time, it will freeze later and the little triangle for connecting is also disappeared! So you have to refresh it to recall that little triangle again.I have the exact same problem and my home network have a max capacity of 250 devices, which Im not any way near off.
I have one pc connected via ethernet, so I always have an option of connecting if WIFI fails.
I have one iMAC connecyed via WIFI
I have one Apple notebook conenected via WIFI
I have one Nintendo Wii connected via WIFI
And, I have one Apple TV which will not connect while other devices are connected. If I disconnect the notebook and iMAC the Apple TV works fine. -

I just bought a new Z10 yesterday and just to test the internet on the phone i subscribed a 14rs pack for one day and then switched on data services .... there is a bold H+ sign showing at the top right hand side of the screen but when i try to access the internet via the browser it does not connect to the internet.
Your data plan is not working. You need to check with your wireless service provider and tell them it's not working. They should be able to fix it.

E3200 Cannot Connect To The Internet
I have purchased a new E3200 to replace my old Linksys router. It locates my computers and sets up a network, but cannot connect to the internet via my Comcast cable modem. I have read on this forum about Mac address issues, but it has located the Mac address. The internet IP address is all zeros, and releasing and renewing the IP does nothing. Help!

Apple TV connects to the network but cannot connect to the internet.
Apple TV connects to the network but cannot connect to the internet. Works on other Apple TV's we have just not this new one. Defective??? Thank you!
This might help:
Apple TV (2nd gen.) saw my wireless network but did not accept my password (gave a network error message). It fixed instantly doing this:
Made a note of the Apple TV's MAC address. Get it by pressing Menu on the remote, then Settings > General > About. It's called "WiFi address."
Use your browser on a network connected computer to go to your router settings (usually 192.168.1.1).
Under "Wireless > Wireless MAC Filter" (or something similar) do these steps:
Enable Wireless MAC filter
Enable "Permit PCs listed below to access the wireless network"
Enter the Apple TV's MAC address
Click "Save Setting"
When I did this the network connection immediately started working.
Note: These instructions are based on a Cisco Wireless-N Broadband, model WRT160Nv2, firmware v2.0.02. -

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem.
Also heating sometimes works. See:
Why can't I select my wifi settings?
A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Then:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? See other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
