I open a new Email account to look if the problem come only from GMX. But with the new account it is also not possible to send a Email from my Mac and I Phone.

I've only seen this happen when a Quicktime video isn't embedded into a html, http://video.mov. When linking a video this way the browser don't use the Quicktime plugin.
Safari supports HTML 5 and there's a new way of viewing videos in HTML 5.

Videos no long use the embed or object tag.

This may be causing the problem/conflict when viewing http://video.mov in Safari 4.

Why can I download Gmail to my mac's mail - but I can not send? I have followed all instructions I can find but it still won't send. Any thoughts?

There is no 'issue', millions of people use Gmail with a Mac, they send mail so the 'issue' is with your machine so we'll concentrate on that. Post the SMTP settings that are in use for this account, post the authentication method as well, tell me whether you have activated Google's '2 Factor' authentication method if you have.

The Store associates kind of automatically assume everybody is running a new model computer and the one I met when we bought our iPhone had never seen a pre-2008 Mac and was somewhat puzzled why anybody would own such an antique.

My ipad 4 will not sync my photos i took with my cannon digital camera, it worked 1 week ago and now will not??If in put it under video on the ipad i can not share or email.

Had an Ipad 2 from Christmas 2011, used a digital camera to record video, a cannon ELPH series, I put the video in my Iphoto on my mac book pro and WAS able to sync them to my photo on my IPAD. The little photo with the camera icon on it was great no problems.!!! Then I was not able to do this any more, I had to drop the video into the video icon on the ipad from my itunes accunt, however you can not send the video to any one from the ipad like you can under the photo Icon, the buffering was also bad. I got a new Ipad 4 for Christmas and again I was able to sync video when i connected it to my ipad and video i recorded with the cannon camera from halloween showed up GREAT!!! This was stored on my Ipad under the Photo Icon and I can send an email, imessage, etc with the vieo. Fast forward another week put my Christmas videos on my mac book pro and when i plugged my ipad to my mac book to sync in it again did not work, it would not sync the video to my photos, though I JUST did it a week earlier and it worked (those videos are still on the IPAD 4 and work fine). Why can I not do it now, I can drop the video into the video Icon on the IPAD and watch, but you can not send it anywhere as if u had it stored under the photo icon.???

What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Can not send attachments with emails on Me and aol Imap??

I have an aol and MobileMe imap accounts set up with my mac mail, but I can not send any email with attachemnts no matter how small the smallest I have tried is 152Kb. I have been reeding the threads about not being able to send any email, but I can send and recive emails(with attachments) just not send with attachments.I have been able to send attachments with my aol Imap account before.
I have recently signed up to Mobile me and created the Me Imap account, this is the first time I have had to send an attachment. Is it something to do with the Mobile me?? Any help much appreciated

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Just did the Update (ML 10.8.4) after receiving a new HD since mine crashed last week and the shop didn't update it back to Mavricks which I had previously done...and now my Mac won't let me past the log in screen even with correct password entered. It just spins like I'm logging in and then goes back to the user log in screen. I did the process where I restarted and pressed control S and created a new user and password, but once created same issue and can't get passed that screen.

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.

Can you take a screenshot of the pop-up notification?
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse button. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
If you want to attach a screenshot to a response here, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the window the cursor is on.

why my ipad doesn't sync wi-fi since I upgraded to iOS 5.1 and iTunes 10.6.0.40? I have a pc running windows 7 and my Bonjour service is started. I use the Remote app (airplay) normally but the ipad doesn't appear listed in iTunes to sync wi-fi.

Is your iPad recognized by iTunes when connected to your computer via USB?
If so, does Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi remain selected under the Summary tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes?

There are many factors that affect battery life such as a new iPhone being used more often than may be normal otherwise - the more the screen is on, more battery will be used and the brighter the screen setting even more when on, cellular reception at the time even without placing or receiving calls and the same for internet access via your carrier's cellular network, how often an email account or accounts are being automatically checked for new email, having bluetooth enabled when not being used to name a few.
