Since I upgraded to Firefox 6.0.1, Facebook pages will not load properly.

I am using a Mac 10.6.6. Just updated Firefox this week. When attempting to connect with Safari, I am not having any loading issues.

  • Using latest version of fireFox to access Think Central, pages will not load and they say that this is a security issue with FireFox?

    Teachers in our district are supposed to use www.thinkcentral.com with FireFox.
    Some have no problem accessing the lesson plans.
    Most when they login click on a lesson plan and an icon shows up that says loading but never does.
    If you reboot the computer and login you can open a page once but not a second time and no other lessons will open.
    Think Central support says this is a security issue with Firefox.
    I have updated FireFox, all the Adobe, Reader, Flash, Air and Shockwave. As well as Java.
    I have allowed the pop ups to the think Central web site.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Are there any notification icons on the left end of the address bar? If so, please click them to see whether they related to security issues (such as blocked content - shield icon: [[How does content that isn't secure affect my safety?]]) or a plugin requiring permission (Lego-like icon).
    Does Think Central have any help pages about this issue? Without an account, it is difficult to explore the issue first-hand.

    Safari works fine. Have reset, reinstalled, disabled ad-ons. Am coming up with blanks on the support site.

    If you are using a third-party firewall, you might want to check that. Other security software can also cause problems with an updated version of Firefox.

    Ever since firefox updated to 17, my web pages will not load. When I type in the search bar and hit the enter button, the address switches to https and i get a message stating that my page is an invalid url and the following message

    I can type in www.google and go directly to the google page and then gain access to my pages, just not through the firefox address bar.

    That was probably caused by your Firewall blocking the newly installed version of Firefox.
    No known security issues with Firefox 3.6.17, which was just released this past week.

    In Firefox 18.0.1 on Windows XP, many pages will not load initially. They will sit, blank, with the little spinning circle. If I hit reload, they immediately load. I have verified that all plugins are up to date (AdBlock Plus and Web Of Trust) and that I have the latest version of Java. I also have added Firefox as an exception to Windows Firewall, and verified that no proxies are set.

    It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
    Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem.   • MS Outlook People page will not load in Firefox. It loads in other browsers.

    I use Outlook and when I use it in Firefox version 21.0 the People page will not open. When I use Outlook in another browser the people page opens without any issues. In firefox it just clocks and clocks an then since there is a problem and stops.
    I was told that the adobe add on was an issue, I tried disabling it, and installing the latest version and it still will not work.
    I deleted all my cache still will not work.
    Any ideas?

    Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
    Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
    To clear cache and cookies do the following:
    #Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
    #Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
    #Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
    #From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
    #Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

  • Windows 7 64 bit: Just installed firefox and pages will not load, or are very slow, IE explorer loads instantly

    I installed windows ultimate 64 bit, Tried to install firefox for my default browser. Internet explorer loads everything like normal, no problem but firefox will not load or does after 5 mins +
    I checked my firewall windows provides and Avira to see if they were blocking, Found nothing of anything being blocked.
    This is a fresh installed windows 7, No viruses or malware

    A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Disney Jr coloring pages will not load using Firefox on my iMac, using Safari the pages will load.

    I have a Apple iMac desktop computer that is about a year old, when using Firefox to access the Disney Jr. website the only problem I have is the pages that need to be printed to color will not load, the rest of the site works as it should. When I use Safari to access the same website there are no problems, I prefer to use Firefox as my browser of choice.

  • Since installing Mavericks I'm getting a message that Shockwave will not load

    Since installing Mavericks yesterday I am now getting a message that apple cannot load Shockwave Flash - cannot play any games on Facebook because Flash will not load - tried disabling the oldest of 2 versions but that made no difference.  Any suggestions?

    I did a full factory reset on the Apple TV and then set evrything up again. Synced all my stuff from the computer, which seemed to download ok, but still get the "Your Apple TV is not authorized to play this content" message. It's very frustrating. All the content was purchased from the iTumes Canada store, I'm in Canada but can't watch it on the TV. I tried changing to the US store but same message. I think I'll just give up. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with an Apple product and I have never used anyrhing else but Apple. Thanks for your help anyway it's much appreciated.

  • TS1398 Since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 my phone will not auto-connect to the home WiFi network.

    I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2 and now my phone will not auto-connect to the home wifi network.  Each time I leave and return to within range of the network I have to remember to manually connect, otherwise it continues to use 4G for data.  The credentials are saved (all I have to do is tap it to connect) but just won't happen automatically any more.
    Is anyone else seeing this problem?

    Tried the reset multiple times. No go. Before the IOS 7.0,2 update my devices were connecting to home WIFI eventually.

    Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
