Since I upgraded to iOS 6, the iapd daemon crashes a lot causing problems communicating with my Emprum Ultimate GPS device. Am I the only one having this problem?

In the crash logs, the version number of the iapd daemon is listed as ???(???). This doesn't look right to me. I can post a crash log if anyone thinks it could help.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution, but I am having similar trouble. On all my 3rd party GPS apps the GPS signal is very weak or not available. Motion-X GPS, GPS Drive, Waze, Harry's Lap Timer.
The Apple Maps app seems to work however I can't tell if it's using GPS or cell tower triangulation. Maps seems to be slow to recognize my position or motion. In the Maps app the purple arrow appears in the top bar, I'm all other 3rd party app the arrow is grey. Does that mean anything?
I've deleted and reinstalled apps, reset phone, no help.
I'm using a 4s, 5.0.1

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

Poor GPS reception in IPhone 3GS, am I the only one having this problem ?

Since I have many problems with GPS drop outs and poor signal strength errors when using navigation software for Iphone 3GS firmware 4.0.2.
First I reset my Iphone completely and installed all apps from scratch, but this has not solved my problem.
I now tried several tests to compare with both an Android phone HTC Desire and a very old Symbian phone Nokia E65. Neither the Nokia E65 or HTC Desire have any drop outs in the GPS reception while my Iphone has several dropouts, making navigation horrible.
Am I the only one having this problem ?

Unfortunately, you are not the only one (I personally use TomTom with car kit). This is one of the numerous bugs introduced by iOS4 and this one has been reported by many in this forum. Be careful not to use your iPhone based navigation system in a foreign country, due to high roaming costs ! I had to use it and nearly had an heart attack when reading the invoice.

I bought my iPad I'd say about a year ago and this problem has been happening the moment I bought it. I can have the iPad charging all night long and still it doesn't fully charge. I took it to the Apple store a little over a month after I bought it and they ran some tests on it and said everything was fine that maybe it was just the iPad charger so he gave me a new iPad charger but that didn't help whatsoever.
The other problem I'm having is that when I download Apps on my iPad they seem to take years to download. This can't be my wifi as I have other Mac products and an iPhone that downloads App just fine within seconds.
Is all of this an iPad issue other people are having? Or am I the only one cursed?

You need to reopen that case file for your initial problem and get that resolved. That's the first thing.
The second thing (the download times) can easily be checked out while you are at the Apple Store (as a test you do yourself). Find a couple of large apps (like maybe approaching 1 GB) in which you don't have any personal data in them, and delete them from your iPad. Then redownload them and see how long it takes at the Apple Store.
If it's quick and normal at the Apple Store, then you've got so,e problem with the iPad working right with your home WiFi, and you'll have to sort that out. If it's just as slow at the Apple Store, then you can open up case file on that issue while you are still in the Apple Store.

After i downloaded the iOS 7 i cannot play words with friends in landscape mode and its driving me silly :0/ im not the only one having this problem since the download.

This would be an app issue, not an issue with Apple. If you can flip it upside down, your accelerometer is working fine and can sense what position you are holding you iPad, however, the app isn't allowing it to rotate. Just give them time, and I'm sure they'll come out with an update for the app that will have it working again.

Firefox does not restore the previous session & the restore option in history is not given. this never happened until firefox 6, now 7. am I the only one having this problem, to restore the last session incl. the different group is very inconvenient..

If this were just a Netflix problem, why can I access Netflix through Internet Explorer and not through Firefox? I've been using Firefox to access Netflix for at least the past year and starting yesterday (12/6/11) Firefox doesn't seem to recognize that Netflix exists. Downgrading isn't supported.
You can poke around in the settings. There's a lot of stuff defaulted to on that you may not need, such as notifications.
You can also look into background app refresh and background app updates. They can be running in the background and drain your battery.

IPad with IOS 7 is suddenly unstable and crashes many times in a day. Had been very stable until 2 days ago no new apps added. Problem is worse on iPad 3 than on iPad 2. Anyone else having this problem? Possible answers or solutions?

Two days ago my iPad 3 and IPad 2 started to crash very unexpectedly. Both iPads have wifi and cellular and both are running iOS 7.0.2. I will be working and suddenly the screen just wipes to black and then the big white Apple appears as if I have done a hard reset. The iPads always come back, but the crashes and unexpected app closures are happening with greater frequency. It happens more with the iPad 3 than with the iPad 2. Until two day ago both iPads had been very stable. I don't keep a lot of apps open and I have plenty of GB of free space. I do hard resets after each event, doesn't help the situation. Did Apple do some kind of update to the OS in the last few days? I was just getting used to the new OS and this is very frustrating. Anyone else having this problem, have a possible answer or solution? Thanks for your help.

The new iMovie wont let me share my videos, is any one having this problem?

I'm done with my video project, I'm trying to share (export) my video onto my desktop but its not letting me. When I go and click on the share button it does nothing and shows nothing. I just got done upgrading to the new iMovie about a month ago and I’m running on Mavericks. Tell me I’m not the only one who is having this problem.

You certainly are not the only one with that problem... I called the support people and it took over two hours to figure out what was wrong... I ended up having to delete MacKeeper which I have used for years.... I guess it over writes a couple of files needed by the Share Function... They also had me delete iMovie and reload it... I am not a tech person so I would not be able to tell what libraries and the several files we deleted after rebooting and coming up in a safe mode. But the share function works normally now... I still have problems with some function buttons in Safari... I guess that will be another call...

Ok, I see a thousand posts about restoring the ipod touch and getting the "connect to itunes" screen, but I'm not even getting that. When I try to restore it, it gets to the apple start up screen, and then it freezes. Nothing is helping, I've tried all the little tips and tricks I've found scattered throughout this website, and even called customer care. Even though they admitted it was a hardware issue, I still have to pay 200 dollars to have it repaired because my warranty recently expired. This is all enough to make me throw the ipod in the trash and never do business with apple again. Is there anything else I can try to fix it? It seems that every time I try to restore my ipod i get a different error message, and now my ipod is stuck in some kind of restore limbo, and my computer tells me the ipod needs to be restored. I shut my computer down, tried to restore it on my roommate's computer, and I've got nothing. Is there anything anyone can think of that may give me my ipod back?

Here's what I would do:
- backup your iTunes library
- follow the instructions on how to totally remove iTunes from your computer
- download and install the latest version of iTunes
- put your iPod into DFU mode ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 )
- start iTunes and plug your iPod in
You might also want to try a different connector and USB 2.0 port on your computer before doing this.
If your computer still does not recognize your iPod, see if the problem is related to the Apple Mobile Service device driver - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567

I can't be the only one having this Finder issue: Finder stops responding and requires relaunch about every third time I open it.

I have a brand-new MBAir, but I actually noticed this starting many months ago, on my MBPro running Snow Leopard. I've repaired Permissions numerous times, run Onyx and performed all of the scans and checks (everything checks out fine), and otherwise have no problems at all with my system. It's just this constant need to relaunch the Finder, especially after downloading a dmg. In-between these episodes it seems to behave normally.
I though it was a Snow Leopard problem, and was hoping it would be gone with Lion, but, alas--no such luck.
I've searched through the discussions and support docs and haven't found anything similar--can I possibly be the only one with this weird issue? I've been a Mac User for over 20 yrs, and can't say I've ever seen this particular problem before....Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

OK, Tony--did that. I noticed that it had a creation date of 2009. Wouldn't a new OS create new plist files, or do all of the old ones just migrate over from the previous OS? Interesting....
Anyway, I'll just have to wait and see if it happens again--shouldn't have to wait too long--LOL. I'll post back with an update ASAP.

Am I the only one having a problem with the latest network manager?

I mean, it's working, but once in a while it slows down heavily after a longer suspend-resume cycle. As in, it takes about half a minute before it even starts scanning. It started after the update yesterday or the day before. The systemd journal doesn't list any problems. I know how to setup wpa_supplicant manually and have used that kind of setup for a long time, I'm just wondering if this is a bug that needs tracking down.

I have no issues with suspend-resume cycle with networkmanager.
