This option was removed in v9.1.5

Every time I touch my iTunes app it opens for about 1-2 seconds and then immediately shuts back down. Has anyone else experienced this or have suggestions on how to fix this?

Since we upgraded to OSX Maverick our printer is printing very slow. Anyone know what I should do?
Since we upgraded to OSX Maverick our printer is running slow. We have reinstalled the printer. We have an Epson Stylus NX420 printer. It makes copies fine it is just when we try to print something that we have a problem.
What part of the printing process is slow? Does it take a long time for the print dialog to appear after select File > Print, or does it take a long time after pressing the Print button for the job to start printing?
Since you mention upgrading to Mavericks, some users have found that a reset of the printing system resolves their printing issues. Note that this action will remove all devices from the Printers & Scanners preference pane. So you will need to add the printer or scanner again after performing the reset. -
I have been having problem for cac access since I upgrade from OSX 10.6 to OSX 10.8. Now it is aking me to select a certificate, but there is none listed.
Is the SW you are using campaitible with 10.8.x?

I have just upgraded to Mavericks and have been using Time Machine on an external disk with Snow Leopard. Can I continue to backup with Time Machine on the same external disk or do I need a new disk since the operating system has changed?
Hi there,
I found that Time Machine in Mavericks will sort it all out for you. You shouldn't need to buy another backup drive, unless you have insufficient space left and can't afford to delete whats on there. It should just work fine. -
Since I upgraded to iTunes 10.7, I can no longer sync my iPhones nor my iPad.
For all devices, iTunes says "could not back up ... because a session could not be started".
I'm on w7x64, updated.
I have already tried to re-install, reboot, stop/restart Apple mobile devices service, without success.

Since upgrading to windows 8.1 I can not see any local files in the files window.
I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 and can no longer see my local files in the files window. All remote files for all remote sites are visable.
If I change sites under local view get error thet dreamweaver can not update cacheThanks Nancy

I have deactivated and am trying to reload software inside of windows 8.1.

I honestly don't know if DW CS5 is compatible with Win 8.1. The OS compatibility FAQ only mentions DW CS6 & CC.

Since I upgraded to OS 6 my ipad will not connect to my WiFi
Since I upgraded to OS 6 my ipad will not connect to my WiFi unless I am right next to it. if i walk more than three feet away it looses connection. I have tried the brightness, resetting the network settings, changing the channel on my router...help. I have century link in Phoenix arizona. modem/router is a
ZyXEL - PK5000Z. It seems to work ok on my work wifi.
My iphone and netbook work perfectly with it. I do have an upgrade to the software on my iphone, but I fear that will loose wifi as well.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Since my IPOD Touch upgraded to IOS 8.1.2 it will not play well with my 2013 Charger's UConnect entertainment system. It will not build a library so I can not Browse or Shuffle. The only thing it does is list all the songs alphabetically when connected via USB.
- Contact the manufacturer/go to their support site.
- Sometimes this works
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Sometimes and ISO update breaks compatibioity and a firmware update the the dock is required or an iOS update is required.
Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple. -

Hi...I have this problem, everytime I want to print something out the mac asks me for the computer password...that is really becoming annoying after. That happened since I upgraded to mountain lion. How can I stop the computer from asking me that?
If you are printing via a Windows shared printer and it is the Windows user account that you are being prompted for then you can save this in the Keychain, as shown below.

After upgrading to Lion, my Canon 7d can not be found. I have used the USB connection to connect to my camera for several years with no problems, until now. I have reset the SMC, by powering off the computer and unplugging everything for approx 30 minutes. There are no new drivers available and any assistance will be appreciated.
I was having the same issue after upgrading to Lion OSX. I searched the web and found many people had the same problem but no solution so...
I called Canon and they told me to run 'Image Capture' its part of the Canon Software Suite so you should have it and then try downloading the pictures like you usually do. I use 'Image Browser' and with 'Image Capture' running in the background it works perfectly now.

Upgraded HD, not able to restore from Time Machine
My MBP came with Leopard installed, and a Snow Leopard upgrade DVD. I have since upgraded to Lion through the App Store. Yesterday I decided to upgrade my HD with the thought that I would use Time Machine to move my old system to the new hardware. After using the Leopard recovery disc that came with my MBP 17" I wasn't able to use Time machine because of an OS compatibility issue. There was a warning saying that the OS that I just installed was oldr and my ime Machine backup wouldn't work.
Will I have to pay for the Lion upgrade again to get the same computer to be compatible to the Time Machine backup that I have?I upgraded the HD of the MBP. Before taking out the old HD I ran Time machine one more time then removed the HD, replacing it with the new one. I reinstalled Leopard from the OEM recovery disc that came with the computer on to the new HD, installed the updates for Leopard, and tried to use Time Machine to recover the setup that was on the old HD before I removed it - Lion, my applications, documents, etc.
Is there another way that I should be moving the system from the old drive to the new? -
I have a G5 mac using ver 10.4.11 and a newer mac using ver 10.8.4 these are networked. using the new mac i looked up my my photo on the old mac. It then said you need to upgrade your library which it did. Now the old mac can not open the photos and say that I need to upgrade my I photo to a newer version. The old mac has no more support from apple in software update so I am not sure where I should go from here. can I use new soft ware with the old mac
The other part of the upgrade message was a warning that once you upgraded you would no longer be able to open the library with the old version which is exaclty what you did and what happened when you choose to continue
The iphoto library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iphoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process may take several minutes depending on the number of photos in the library. Cancel or upgrade.
So now your choices are to not use iPhoto with the previous version using it onky with the newer version, restore your backup from before you did this upgrade or purchase iPhoto Library Manager and use it to rebuild the library using the older version of iPhoto (instructions are on their web site) thereby downgrading it (without projects)
