Since installing OS X Lion, I get a message every time I open Safari that states "Community toolbar-We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar." I am using version 5.1. How do I get rid of this message?

Delete the app, add-on, or extension that loaded the community toolbar. Try a search for community toolbar to learn the details.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work.

If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the grey Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

How do I install Firefox upgrade when I get a messasge that another version is already running (which it is not)?

Every day I have been getting a notice saying that installation of a Firefox upgrade (v. 3.67.8)is strongly recommended. I have been a very happy user of v.3.6.3, with Vista.
I clicked on the installation and it did not work! It began downloading and then I got this message in a little window:
The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again.
If I click OK in that window, or if I close the window, the downloading starts again and I get the same message!
I do not find Firefox in my list of programs, and the icon for my previous version (3.6.3) no longer works!

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
/Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
Library/Application support/conduit plugins
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

Do you have separate apple Ids? If not, set up a new Id for one of you. Ios 6 uses the apple Id to send messages across devices, that may be the issue you are having.
