Since installing the last round of Windows updates on 3/10/2015 Firefox freezes up my computer and the only thing I can do is to reboot.

I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode and it still locks up. At first I could not access Yahoo mail, now it is starting to happen on other sites with no pattern. It is Windows 8.1 and Firefox 36.0.1.

Thanks for the info about Trojan. It may be the problem. Meanwhile I went to Admin/Owner side and did some cleaning -- including trying to reload my Favorite/Bookmarks that have always carried forth from previous levels of Windows XP and earlier.
The new computer here did not grab the Bookmarks from the previous, and yesterday I thought I had them loaded, and today went to Worker-Bee side and they are not showing.
About those add-ons... I have no idea, but think I got everything up to date yesterday. I will look at your earlier reply tomorrow or this weekend when I have more time at home to learn from it.

An update tries to run, but an error message stating "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." I can't open Firefox

I click on Firefox and it says that Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few minutes. Then I get "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." this cycle never ends. Do I need to deinstall Firefox and re-install? If I do that, do i lose all of my bookmarks, etc?

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder:

*Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
*Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer. Do not remove personal data when uninstalling.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

My release is installed not in default drive C:\. I installed in the other Partition on my PC.
I don't have other release installed.

Try a clean re-install.
* Download the setup file from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/RC (this is for the Firefox 4 release candidate)
* Uninstall Firefox, do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data"
* Delete the Firefox installation directory - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory
* Re-install Firefox
This process does not remove the Firefox user data such as bookmarks and passwords which are stored elsewhere in the profile folder.
You may also need to manually reset the Software Update feature by deleting the software update files as shown in the "Software Update not working properly" section here - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

If you bought an unlocked iPhone then it will work with any carrier but will work only under the restrictions or requirements the carrier sets for its customers. Apple has nothing to do with that. You are describing a problem of restricted access created by the carrer. If you cannot carry out the functions you want, talk to the carrier and see what limits they are placing on you. An unlocked iPhone is fully capable of all functions the carrer allows.

The blog was incorrect. Photomerge should work in the trial, too.

I concur with Ralph; while you can get your iPad replaced, I likewise suggest you consider putting the money toward a newer iPad. Apple has some good deals on refurbished iPads in the online Apple Store you could check out. Depending on what is wrong with your current iPad, you might be able to sell it to someone for parts - eBay is the most likely venue - and recoup some additional money to put toward a newer iPad. I'd recommend a 3rd-generation iPad if you can afford it, though the iPad 2 will still run the most recent version of iOS.

Running the latest version and most current update of snow leopard. Have 250 GB on computer. Have Intel core I7 2.66 Ghz processor. My computer is about 2 yrs. old. So processor and memory are not an issue. I want to upgrade to Lion, but cannot do this because I cannot access Mac App Store. I have backed up computer on external hard drive, and I have no music or pictures on my computer now. I have I-Life, Windows for Mac, I-tunes, Pandora, Plants vs. Zombies, and that is all for additional software on here. I have had problems with the app store since it was launched! Apple is suppose to be superior! At 2 plusk, I would expect it to be, but so far, it has been inferior! It is definately NOT user friendly. At least the computer end and software is not. It has been a pain dealing with the app store, trying to watch webcast on here, always having to download an extra plugin only to find that it isn't compatible! PLEASE MAC, for 2,000 dollars...REALLy?!

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

I have the full elements 12 with subscription the only thing I can get on it is the Organiser, it wont open in photo editor I am only a bigginner

as a beginner I bought the full element 12 I downloaded it but found that after putting all my photo in the Organised folder,I then went to the Photoshop editor but found it will not open????? even though I have the subscription for the full version its now asking if I want to use Photoshop will cost me another £7-49 per month

Does anything happen if you select a thumbnail in the Organizer and then click the Editor button on the bottom toolbar?
Did you buy the download from Adobe or from a store?
Do you have a desktop icon and what happens if you double click? Normally you should see both options; Organizer & Editor.
What computer and operating system are you using?

My 3.6.14 keeps trying to update and gives this error message:"The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again."

My OS is Windows XP version service pack 3. I even tried to install FF4 but it never get installed. As I mentioned my FF keeps trying to update itself but it gives the error message I provided in title. Now I don't have access to my FF browser and my life is stopped because I have all my passwords saved on FF. I restarted my notebook but it stills try to update itself giving the same error message. I can not also upgrade my Adobe reader 7.0.7 to 10 I have tried more than 10 times but it never gets upgraded. I had this Adobe problem since long time ago.
