Since iOS 8.0.2, my 4S kept asking for my voice mail password, and now all my saved VM's are gone!!

I grabbed the update (0.2) to the new IOS 8 in hopes of it fixing a few disappointing bugs from the 8 update. Didn't work. What I'm dealing with right now is getting my saved voice mails back. After entering what I know darn well was my VM password about 7 times and it finally being accepted, I went into the VM box and there were zero saved. They're all gone!!
So now do I need to go deal with AT&T to see if they can restore them?

Sorry to hear that
