Since iOS5 upgrade, I have a lot of sync errors

Hello all,
I really need help here. Here is the story.
1. Plugged in my iPhone to upgrade to iOS5.
2. I did a backup first and everything went ok
3. I click on update and the process started and everything went fine until...
For some reason, when the restore process was going on for apps, instead of re-uploading only the apps I had installed on my iPhone, it decided to re-install absolulty everything I ever downloaded on the App Store. Well, all apps that I have in iTune. I don't have all of them installed on my iPhone. This resulted in the fact that the restore kind of bugged because my iPhone was full now (no more free MB space). The process was stopped and their was nothing I could do.
Question: Why... oh why iTunes decided to re-install all of my apps that I had deleted on my iPhone.... Previous sync on my PC never did that.
I am not sure why, but I decided to unplug the usb cable during the restore. I didn't really know what to do else. iTunes was bugged because of this anyway.
I then went in the Apps section of iTunes and manually deleted every old apps I don't use, so it won't try to re-sync them to my iPhone.
But now, every time I try to sync my Apps to iPhone, I alwas have (-50) or (-53) errors. Their is absolutly nothing I can do. I tried to Re-install again iOS5 fresh install, but it doesn't work, same error that comes again.
So I have iOS5, but I am unable to sync nothing from my PC and I tried to google those errors and all information I had was to uncheck the "Sync Photos" or "Sync Ringtones" and check again. Problem is that nothing is checked in my iTunes now but to Sync Apps.
I really need help and I don't know what to do.

Again, where are you seeing the date?
Select one of the imported photos, type Command + i and check in the iPhoto Info drawer to see what the EXIF capture date is for those photos.
If the date is correct then you're looking at the file created or modified date and not the EXIF capture date that's embedded in the image file itself.

Follow Sonicray's advice and when you post try to give as much info about your Mac, your OS, etc... Fill out your Profile info.

Has anyone else had issue with earpiece since IOS5 Upgrade?

Since the ios5 upgrade my earpiece for the phone comes and goes. The speaker phone works fine and I can put in my headsets for music and that is fine as well. All this started after I upgraded to IOS5.

Yes and apple says software issue but I have to buy AppleCare to get fixed. What why should I pay to fix there issue they caused. Have you gotten any help.

I have Garageband version 4.1.2 (248.7) installed on my early 2008 IMAC Version 10.5.8. I have never upgraded but have a LOT of projects. If I upgrade my operating system to the next level (10.6?), will my GB version still work? Do I need to upgrade GB?

my copy of 4.1.2 appears to work under 10.6.8, though i have not done extensive tests

Since Yosemite upgrade I have lost all my previous gmail email. All settings seem to be as was so am at a loss, anyone any ideas. Thanks.

I installed Yosemite a few days ago and just found that all my previous emails on gmail are gone. Have no idea why and looking at all my settings all is as was. My other accounts are good.

Further to the above I did delete all the content of the "Archive File" in mail after the Yosemite upgrade due to a lot of rubbish being in there that should not have been so decided to begin anew. I now wonder whether all my past gmail items were in there as well. If so how can I retrieve it via Time Machine.

Since ios5 upgrade my calendar does not see that I have any calendars. How do I fix this?

I just installed ios5 on my IPOD touch and the calendar app shows no calendars. But it is active for my email account and I have a caldav calendar defined in the settings. Any idea how to get the calendar app to recognize this?

In case your Caldav setting uses the 'Advanced Settings' and needs a particular URL,
then you could be out of luck as many of us because with the introduction of iOS 5 (and still not fixed in iOS 5.0.1) one can not change the URL for the Caldav calendar location.
This worked and was possible with iOS 4.

The URL field in the caldav configuration can be modified, but when I save and return, it defaults to a wrong URL generated by the ios5 itself, and not to the URL I put in.

Issues with i-Phone4 car USB Connection since IOS5 Upgrade

Hi,
I connect my i-phone 4 via Bluetooth to my car, and also plug it in via USB, so that I can control the device using my steering wheel controls.
Since ugrading to IOS 5, the Bluetooth phone connection appears to be working OK, but my music cuts out after a minute or so, although I can still select music via the car controls after it cuts out, but it won't actually play.
If I look at the screen of the device itself when the music is playing, the screen tells me that it is connected to an accessory, and when I click on the device option at the bottom of the screen, it gives me two options for the connectivity - "USB" or 'My Volvo Car' (and the option selected is "USB").
However, when the music cuts off, if I view the same screen, it has switched to 'My Volvo Car'.
The same thing happens when connecting via the AUX input. The music cuts out after a minute or so, and it swpas to the default of 'My Volvo Car' so I can't hear the music again.
All of this worked perfectly until the IOS upgrade, so any help or advice to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated !
FYI - I have a 2011 latest model Volvo XC60 R-Design with the Premium Stereo.

Not exactly
The only compromise I have found is to also stream the music via Bluetooth too (select 'Bluetooth' in the 'Input Menu' of the car, instead of Aux or USB).
It's very impressive for new passengers (like when you first stream music from your i-Phone to your stereo at home using Airport Express), but the only downside is that whilst you can change tracks within the same playlist via the steering wheel controls, you can't hunt through menus any more with the scroll wheel
Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing

Music doesn't work the same since IOS5 upgrade

Before downloading the IOS 5 update, everything worked perfectly fine with my 4G iPod Touch. But after the update, when I would try to play music and go to select a song, my iPod will skip that song and start to play the next one. And if I try to go back to the previous song, it'll just skip back to the next one and play that instead. Or it may play fine at first, then skip over two or three songs before it starts to play music. I've noticed that at times it will even start to "play" a certain song, but it will actually be playing a different one. For example, the screen will show that the iPod is "playing" Adele and it'll have the album art and the song name displayed, but the actual music being played would be Drake or something. I've tried turning it off for a few minutes and turning it back on, but it didn't help. I've never had this problem before, it only just began today and I upgraded my software last night. Wondering if anyone else has a similar problem?

Same problem here, since upgrading to IOS-5. Whenever I try to shuffle or play a genius mix (or even simply play an album) the iPod will skip the first one or two songs, play one song and then 'crash'. I say 'crash' because it selects the next song and then nothing happens - the player isn't paused, and it appears to think it's playing, but the time bar doesn't change and no sounds come out. Occasionally I've noticed the album artwork is wrong too.
Rebooting does NOT work - I've tried it a number of times.
Is this just an iPod problem?? If so, I would be surprised if Apple do anything quickly about it - they're more worried about iPhone problems I expect, and we (iPod users) are just the poor relations... C'mon Apple - SORT IT OUT!!!!

Since latest upgrade I have 2 problems 1. fast dial didn't work, but has been fixed with changing the version. This happened before. Now the big problem is when I attempt to upload pics Facebook or attach documents to e-mail firefox crashes. HELP!

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Since I upgraded to IOS7 on ipad, cannot sync videos

Since upgrading to IO7, when I connect my ipad to itunes, I do not get the photos tab. I have a new iphone 5s and when I connect to itunes the photos tab appears but not with the ipad. Anyone else having this probelm?

Make sure you have the latest version of iTune.

Cannot reply to text messages from certain contacts after iOS5 upgrade. Anyone able to help?

I upgraded to iOS5 on my iPhone 4. Since the upgrade, I have not been able to send text messages to certain contacts, I receive messages from them ok, but when I reply, it is unable to send. Any help appreciated - thanks!

Apple offers a ridiculous "solution" for a problem they created.
I recently switched from iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S5. It became clear shortly after activation that I was not receiving texts from other iPhone users.
After a quick search it became clear that the issue was with iMessage. That is, otheriPhone users were sending me texts via iMessage. While this problem appears to be widespread and my search revealed a class action lawsuit against Apple for this issue, there were no viable solutions.
In a nutshell, Apple support told me the ONLY fixes to this issues were to 1. Have all of my contacts delete our text thread and 2. Wait 45 days for iMessage to expire. This is outrageous and not a solution at all.

Nothing but problems since recent upgrade to Infin...

I recently upgraded to BT Infinity. Previously I had a wireless connection throughout the house. Since the upgrade I have had quite a lot of problems. The hub is now in a different room than with the previous BB. I found that;
1) Wireless not available in a few rooms
2) Internet connection keeps switching off on laptop + PC
I purchased a booster as advised by BT. This helps at times but then I realized that not all my issues were down to the wireless connection. I realize many different devices can interfere with the connection but prior to Infinity everything was fine. This is the only change in my house. There has been no new electrical devices.
Now the following happens;
a) Internet connection keeps going down on various devices - particularly at 11pm at night
b) At times I cannot even connect with an ethernet cable from hub to laptop
c) At times speedtest shows poor results
I've had various ideas suggested by the BT employee who is attached to my case, unfortunately nothing has improved the situation and I am getting extremely frustrated with the problem. The following has been done;
1) My hub has been replaced
2) Channels reset
3) Engineer has tried to remotely fix problem and also replaced some part of copper wire leading into house
BT have recently sent me 2 powerline adaptors to try and set my hub away from the openreach box in the room it was in previously as I had no problems prior to the upgrade. Unfortunatelly BT have been unable to talk me through this and obtain a broadband connection. The BT employee is trying to set it up differently from the conventional way which he said has worked for customers before. I am awaiting the original employee to telephone me back in a few days as he is off work and his colleagues are not sure of the set up.
I am also awaiting yet another Openreach engineer to call in a few days if the problem cannot be resolved.
Initially for the first few weeks it was a complete nightmare contacting BT and having to keep repeating my story and having various employees reset channels and work their way through a set script. However recently a set person seems to have been assigned to this case and has been very dilligently phoning me and trying to resolve the problem. This is the only thing that has kept me sane as I was getting so annoyed by having to phone and take potluck with their general phone number.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone with similar problems or suggestions to resolve this.

Since I upgraded to Mavericks, Finder, Word 2008, and Adobe Products barely work

I upgraded my 2010 MacBook Pro to Mavericks a few months ago. Since the upgrade things have spun out of control. The finder barely works. It takes minutes (yes, minutes) to open and look through folders. The spinning color wheel seems to run constantly. On a related note, it takes between 10-60 seconds to find and open an email attachment (from gmail to computer) or word/excel/pdf file from any of those software packages. Lastly, word 2008 and even the new Adobe Pro seem to crash regularly now. Any idea what is happening? I took my machine into a "geek" and they suggested I get a new hard drive. I paid $200+ for all of the diagnostics and the new drive and the problems persist.

Since I upgraded to IOS 8 whenever I use kensignton bluetooth keyboard iin any mail app it scrolls up whenever I type message and I cannot see what I am typing. Is there a fix?

Since IOS8 upgrades I have had problem with my iPad Air whenever i use kensington bluetooth keyboard (an older one) whenever I type in body of mail message. It scrolls up so I cannot see what I am typiing. this is true on comcast connect app as well as mail app in iPad. Problem does not occur when i use keyboard in iPad air screen. First occurred with IOS 8, then disapeared wth later IOS 8 update, but has returned with most recent IOS 8 fix.
I have reset all settings, but problem persists.

I suspect problem is related to older Kensington keypad, however, I did see on a Google discussion group that someone suggested some changing of settings on iPad. Trouble is, I cannot find that group again. Any thoughts?
