Since Last CC Update Photoshop has lost the ability to CTRL click on layer within group??

Weird little glitch is happening since the latest update of CC. Can anyone else confirm that they are having this issue:
1. Create a group with a bunch of different layers
2. Select any tool (besides the direct selection tool)
3. Now press CTRL to try and select a layer and move it within the group.
You will notice that it moves the whole group and not just the selected layer...it does not select the layer. My Direct Selection Tool is set to "Layer" not "group"....so that is not the issue here.
This is annoying...does adobe know about this?

Okay, found the fix.
With the Move tool selected, go to the Options toolbar at the top (below file menu) and change the drop down menu to Layer instead of Group. Voila!

Strangely enough, putting my laptop into Hibernate mode solved the problem. It didn't even take a reboot.

The sheet I am working on has lost the ability for me to scroll to the first few columns. I can't see the columns but I can cut and paste them so I know they are still there. Has this happened to others

I can't see the columns A & B but if I cut and paste the table to a new sheet, the columns I am missing will travel to the new sheet. I have charts and other stuff related the the original table so I need to figure out why I can only see from column C forward. I tried to "UNHIDE" the columns but the function doesn't seem to recognise that there are columns missing. Has this happened to others and how did you fix it?

I've seen it happen before, or at least it sounds something like what I've seen before. The table somehow gets into the margins of the page and the app doesn't know how to deal with it. Go into Print View and try moving the table away from the left side ofthe page. You might have to change content size or resize the table to get it to correct (then put you can put them back the way you like).

HT2492 ML Dashboard Calendar widget has lost the ability to change the date.

In ML the Dashboard calendar widget has lost the ability to change the day to other days. You can still navigate to different months with the arrow keys, but clicking on any day has no effect. I have not found a keystroke/mouse combination that allows the date to be changed from today's date.
This is a useful function for me, to quickly be able to see what I have scheduled on any day. Now I have to open iCal, which is annoying.

You are correct that there is no way to sort jobs in the print queue window in Snow Leopard. This is to be considered expected behavior. In other words, that's the way the software engineers intend it to work in Snow Leopard. You should provide Apple with feedback as to what you want. Some things to point out.
This happened at the usual guide update time, if I have missed any channels out I apologize the channels listed are the ones in my area that has lost guide. People feel free to mention any channels you get in your area not already on the list.
Also I am pre DSO area. Can people mention if they have lost the guide to these channels on post DSO areas as well so we can determine how widespread this issue is.
I have rebooted the box plenty and the guide data has still not come back.

Is anyone else upset that Pages 5.2 has lost the ability to link text blocks?

I know that Apple seems to be trying to add back in some of the myriad features they stripped out of the old Pages, but one critical feature for me that has yet to appear is the ability to link text blocks. There are incredibly crude ways to try to emulate this lost feature, but it is really critically important for efficient page layout. I have requested it several times, starting with the original 'new' Pages but it seems to be one of those useful features that Apple has decided is unimportant.

I will speak for everyone else who can't be bothered responding because we have been all over this 6 months ago…

I also cannot access part of the App Store, I have been trying to down load a magazine app, it has been trying to connect but it has been taking a long time. Also since I did my last update I have lost the ability to face time, I also cannot open iPhoto's

Since my last update on the newest version iPad I have not been able to download a magazine app that I have a subscription for as well I cannot open iPhoto's or video. When I go into settings and go down to where iTunes Mail etc are it freezes my I pad and I cannot access these. Is there a apple system problem? This has been going on for over a week now.

A user on our network has lost the ability to sync with microsoft Exchange. She updated to OS 4.3.5 on Monday, and this morning her sync stopped working, and I am no longer able to connect her to our Exchange server. Any available solutions?

I am running Windows Server 2003, and Exchange 2003. The user has had no previous problems with connections, until her OS update.

Same exact thing with me. And no help from apple. Just dropped nearly $600 and cannot get a decent working setup.
Apple's only suggestion was to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, and re-install... of course (the I.T. Crowd tactic).
The crash happens only on iTunes store access.

Premiere Pro CC has lost the ability to show the video clips

I have reinstalled the program and it still will not show video. It will import audio. I am working on a Mac, OS 10.7, Mac Pro. This happened after I upgraded to the latest PP CC. Any sugestions as to how to correct this problem. I have a project I upgrade from PP CS6 that I spent a lot of time on it. I would not like to have to go back and redo the edits in PP CS6.

The processor will not allow me to upgrade to 10.8. The program was working fine and then after the last upgrade it didn't work any more. I did make a change to the preferences. I tried to use the Mercury Engine assist even though it said the card was not supported. Where are the a preferences stored in 10.7? Can I dump them and start over? Do you think this might work? I tried to use a .edl brought into CS6 but it wouldn't find the correct media to view.

No, it stays with the current OS (iOS5 in this case) - Apple doesn't allow downgrading iOS
If you are syncing to a desktop, you shoudln't lose anything. If you aren't syncing, then that's the first thing you should do, to protect contacts etc.
the other thing is, when the iPad is connected to iTunes, right-click its name in the Devices list and choose Back Up.
That way, when yoiu do the restore, everything should come back as was.

My Thunderbird program has lost the ability to list and read saved emails under one of my accounts.

I have four email accounts that I manage through Thunderbird. Recently all folders, sub folders, and emails contained within will not show under one of the accounts. I have tried researching this problem, but not getting anywhere, and I can't find them on my PC. One encouraging thing is I have a program by Mitec, called Mail Viewer, which will view 4 types of email. I haven't use it recently and tried it to find my missing emails. It found all of them. Where is it pulling the files from, for I have search for them with no results, and Mail View doesn't give me their address on my PC. So, why can it find the missing emails and Thunderbird can't? Any suggestions?

In Thunderbird:
Help > Troubleshooting Information
click on 'show folder' button
a new window will open showing Profile folder.
If the missing mail account is Pop mail account :
click on 'Mail' folder
If the missing mail account is IMAP mail account :
click on 'ImapMail' folder.
what do you see?
Please tell me all the mail acounts you see listed.
Check to see which mail account contains the missing folders and emails:
click on mail account name
eg: the Inbox will be called 'Inbox' with no file extension.
You can open this file using Notepad to see emails listed in the order they were downloaded.
If you locate the correct mail account, make a note of the mail account name and where it is stored.
Now check to see if Thunderbird is looking at the correct mail account:
In thunderbird:
Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the mail account
look bottom right for 'Local directory'
put cursor in the box and use keyboard arrow keys to get to the far right end, which might be out of view.
Does it point to the correct mail account?
If no, click on 'Browse' and use it to select the correct mail account.
the directory would be similar to this for a pop mail account:
C:\Users\User name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\Mail\mail account name
then click on OK to save any changes.
Close thunderbird and then restart Thunderbird.
Did you locate the mail account in Profile folder?
Is the mail account pointing to the correct Local directory?
If you needed to make changes and restart Thunderbird, can you see folders and emails?

Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store. Apple provides warranty (and out of warranty) service for the phone. Not Verizon.

Buggy behavior since last Safari update

Yahoo mail is very slow mo since last Safari update was installed.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset. Quit Safari, relaunch Safari.
Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit Safari, relaunch Safari, try Gmail.
Definitely empty the cache more often either from the Safari menu bar, Safari / Empty Cache, or Option + Command + E on your keyboard.
