Since latest Lion upgrade it keeps asking me to sync contacts

Ever since the latest Lion upgrade, I regularly get a popup window asking me to sync contacts.
I haven't synced contacts (or calendars) through MobleMe in years. All I do is make sure my computer/iPhone uses my Google contacts.
First I turned off syncing for anything on MobileMe. Then, I logged off Moble Me.
I also have set up iCloud to NOT sync contacts or calendars.
Anyone have an idea that will make that box stop showing up?

Hi Chris, I know where to check for updates but after I agree to terms conditions etc it asks to restart the computer before it can start downloading. I do that and it keeps repeating the process?

As I am not willing to put my Contacts data on iCloud, I am no longer able to update Contacts between MacBook, iPhone and iPad. This greatly reduces the value of these products.

Since lion upgrade iMac keeps looking for old server

Hi,
I have a NAS prior to Lion upgrade which was working perfectly. Now with the Lion upgrade the NAS (Sitecom) ther were some issues. I have reinstalled the NAs and had given it a new name. I can find the NAs now so thats not a problem.
But almost every hour I get 2 warning that he can not find the "old NAS", it really start annoying me and I've looked everywhere and I don't even find any link (Finder) towards it so I don't know what to do to get rid of this message, receiving it every hour twice really start getting on my nerves.
Sorry for th Dutch, but the message translates;
A problem has occured with connecting to the server 'VanBeeckNAS'
The server doesn't exist or is currently not available. Check the servername or the IP-address of the server, ...
Any help is highly appreciated.

Why is Safari so slow after Mountain Lion upgrade?

I have a home Optimum wifi network with Boost connecting to an Airport, with a second Airport extending, and an Airport Express extending. I have a MacBook Pro, last year's model, two iMacs, a year old each, and an older iMac. (If necessary I can get all the models etc, but I just want to express the problem). The two new iMacs and MBP are running Mountain Lion. The older Lion.
Since upgrading to ML my connection speed both over the wifi and directly connecting to the router has dropped from 30-50 down and 5 up to between 1-4 down and 4 up. I have had the cable folks here to test lines. We've swapped out the modem with a new one. I bought a new netgear N600. Everything led to the same result.
Here's the odd part. When restarting the modem and plugging it directly into the powerbook, initial tests show 30-50 up and 5 down. But once you reconnect to wifi, lose speed, the re-connect directly to the modem the slowness persists directly connected to the modem.
So I start suspecting Mountain Lion. BUT the older iMac cannot be upgraded to Mountain and is still running Lion and has the same issue. The equipment is in the same place it's always been. We've added no electronics that would be interfering with signals.
Everyone is stumped and looking suspicously at the computer and OS. Please help. I'm beginning to hear the bing bong bing bong of dial up in my head.

Safari won't work since Mt Lion upgrade

Since the mountain lion upgrade, Safari and App Store can't connect to the internet. Chrome browser works just fine, so I know it's not the connectivity.

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Upgraded but keeps asking to log in

I just upgraded (on a MAC) to iTunes 9 and now I can't do anything with it! It just keeps asking me over and over to login to verify the computer, when I do, it says 'this computer is already authorized' and won't play any of my music!! HELP!

ATV2 Home Sharing Drops Since Mountain Lion Upgrade

I've found some stuff close to my issue, but really nothing addressing my issue. I have 3 Apple TV 2's. When running my 27" Mac on Lion, everything streamed wonderfully. I have a BIG router capable of handling movie streaming, so the network should NOT be the problem. After installing Mountain Lion, all three of my Apple TV's have been getting dropped from Home Sharing during the middle of a media stream. It happens with regularity with music and movies. Even Netfilx streams drop because Home Sharing drops out. The only way to fix it thus far is to disconnect and re-connect Home Sharing at the 27" Mac, where the streams originate. I'm certain this problem is due to the Mountain Lion upgrade. Is there a fix or do I need to wait for Apple to push something out to us?

For anyone else having the "white screen" issue with youtube, and/or yahoo issue. I seemed to have repaired the issue. I turned the parental controls off for both of my kids accounts, restarted my Mac, and the problem vanished.
I also turned the parental controls back on after this, restarted the computer, and the problem came back.
*** This is 100% a Parental Control/Mountain Lion glitch. Hopefully Apple knows and is working on a solution. The sooner they fix it, the sooner I can turn the parental controls back onto my kids accounts.

Tried to install upgrade to ITunes, asked for the file "ITunes.msi, could not find. Tried to remove it from control panel and asked for the same file. Looked up and followed the instructions, Tried to do an fresh download and it stilled asked me for the same file. Did a search and the file was not to be found.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

HealthKit not updating since latest OS upgrade?

I've been using HealthKit for a few months and subsequent to the latest OS upgrade (I believe) it is not saving or updating at all. I've tried all the normal things - restarts etc. I'm have a 5s, an UP24 band and UP software, MapMyFitness and MyFitnessPal.
All were merrily working a few days ago.
When I open the Health app now, no data gets downloaded to the app whatsoever. Upon opening the app, only 'Steps' and 'Walking/Running Distance' are displayed - with 'No Data'. I can then add other data (i.e. Active Calories) to the dashboard, which then also display 'No Data'. If I then close down the app and re-open it, only the two original sets of data ('Steps' and 'Walking/Running Distance') are again displayed.
Another interesting issue that has changed recently: 'Steps' used to have both the iPhone and the UP as data sources. Now the only data source available is the UP.
Both of the above make me think I'm not connecting to the server involved. Am I the only one?

Yes I'm having exactly the same problem as you. I thought that it was possibly linked to the day that the map my fitness app updated as I'm pretty sure that it was still working when I updated to ios 8.1.1 - but I'm not 100% positive on that either. Do you use any of the map my apps?

Mail accounts keep going off line since Mountain Lion upgrade

My iCloud accounts keep going off line after a while. When Mail asks me if I want to take my accounts online (after pressing the exclamation triangle) nothing happens. The only way to get my accounts back online is to close and reopen Mail. Any thoughts?

It might be worth pointing out I get the error message "The server returned the error: The server “p04-imap.mail.me.com” cannot be contacted on port 993.".
I've tried having Use SSL checked and unchecked but it doesn't seem to help. The only thing that solves it is closing and reopening Mail.
Finally it would now appear that it only happens after the mac has been woken from sleep.
