Since Straight Talk, using a GSM iPhone is not "officially" supported, you're gonna have to configure the APN settings manually. Go here:

Try powering the iPhone off and back on. If that doesn't help, go to Settings -> General -> Reset and reset the Network Settings. Reports are that one of those two steps have cured problems with iMessages for many people.

I have an iPhone 3GS running iOS 6.1.6 the phone is locked to AT&T. I use a Straight Talk SIM and have, voice, data, and Text but cannot send or receive MMS. I have gone through the APN update for Straight talk and even talked to spoke with a tech support rep. He said that he adjusted the APN settings for my SIM card and still not able to send.
SMS/MMS are carrier features so take it out with them.

I have n iphone 4 with a talkmobile contract sim. I cannot send or receive msm. I have spoken to talkmobile customer service, my phone settings are correct,Aple say it 8is a network problem!! Help!!
talkmobile is not a supported carrier. It's very likely that you have the same problem suffered by people who attempt to use T-Mobile in the U.S. MMS simply will NOT work because the network is not compatible with the iPhone. If you want full functionality, you will have to switch to a supported carrier.

If you cannot send and receive MMS messages and had an original iphone...
Call At&t to resolve it.
There is a known problem where At&ts system is still showing the iPhone as the original 2g which is not allowed to send MMS.
In my case customer service showed it as the 3g but tech support showed it as just iPhone (should be iPhone 3g). Tech support said it was a small group of customers that were effected.
Bottom line: If restore and reset and any other thing you've tried doesn't work, take 15 min and call At&t.SMS/MMS are carrier features so take it out with them.

You can change the Apple ID used for purchasing on her phone by going to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using her Apple ID. However, be aware that if she has any apps on her phone purchased with your Apple ID she will still be prompted to enter the password associated with this ID for all future updates of these apps. This is because apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID in Settings>Store. -
I bought an HTC one 2/28/14. I had no trouble sending or receiving pictures with my texts. I had to update my phone 6/5/14 and since that time I cannot send or receive pictures in my texts. How can I fix that?
The thing is, before the update, I ALWAYS had my wifi on, and I had my mobile data off. Worked flawlessly until the update.

I am trying to get my contacts of an old iphone 3. It show the Itunes logo and the usb connector of the phone charger. How can I get that off the phone and access my contacts.
Ideas anyone?You need to plug it in to iTunes. Once it starts working again, back up the old iPhone to iCloud then go to iCloud in settings. Turn on contacts then you get them back. Another option is to back up to iTunes with the old one, then on the new one, go on iTunes, click restore backup, and choose the old iPhone. I suggest using icloud. Hope it helps!

My cellular provider is mtc touch in Lebanon middle east . As for the FaceTime issue it's banned in some countries not all not in lebanon at least but since my phone is from the UAE I don't have FaceTime on it.
