Having had several laptops with i-tunes installed i'm getting a message on my newly purchased laptop saying that I already have this installed on 5 other machines and I am unable to access i-tunes. Unfortunately the other laptops are now not in my possession any suggestions please

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but if you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

Firefox Nightly 29.0a1 has that new User Interface. But Australis won't be in a release version until Firefox 30 or 31, well into 2014.

You will need to use that old Apple ID and password to update any apps you purchased using that account. So you will either need to recover that Apple ID, which if you forgot the password you should be able to reset here:

or you will need to delete all those apps and repurchase them using your current Apple ID.

Was running osx Lion, newest update. Using Hitachi 320 GB 5200RPM HD. I5, 4 gb DDR3. Mac Book Pro, 13 inch. Heres what happened:
Opened Disk Utility Via Launchpad> Utilities upon normal boot into home screen. Ran Disk verify on Mactintosh HD partition and was told the disk needed repair. Restart, cmmd-R upon restart. Run disk utility, verify disk on Main Disk (whole drive), Needs repair: run permissions repair, run disk repair. Completes both processes on my Main disk (the whole 320 GB).... Machintosh HD now is greyed out, and will not unlock with my password to run Verify Disk. Attempt restart in safe mode, fail. Disk utility refuses to recognize drive, Machitosh HD turns to Disk 13 after failed attempt. Select Macintosh HD, Turn off encryption. Attempt password access to unlock and mount, fail will not accept password.
Trying from Terminal/ command line now via cmmd-r restart.... diskutil list.... sees Macintosh HD 3 tiers. will unlock Macintosh HD (bottom tier), but fails to mount. Second tier, says decryption is happening, but no direction is given.
What I have been told by the computer guys I tool it to is that the HD froze while it was being decrypted, and they cannot extract the data. There is nothing mechanically wrong with the HD. I had to buy a new HD, and Keep the old one with hopes of extracting the Data....
What do I do here guys? How do I mount the drive externally to connect to my mac book pro?
What sort of file recovery program is going to get these files back?

Instead of using Time Capsule or Time Machine to access the archived backup, use Migration Assistant to restore the backup from Time Capsule. Worked like a charm.

How do i reset mac password if i do not have the old one?

I'm confused about whether or not adding new pix that are not in the same folder as the old ones, will delete my old pix. Copy the photos you want to add into the folder your iPod is currently syncing from. Alternatively, if the main folder you are syncing from has sub folders you can choose the option to sync from selected folders, they will show in the box below "Sync photos from folder". For example you may choose to sync from My Pictures and inside My Pictures you have folders for different subjects. You can choose which of those subject folders you want to update to the iPod or you might want to make a folder in there especially for iPod photos. You can drag these folders into an order of your choice.
Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder and sub folders on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Inside this folder create as many other folders as you want
3 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the appropriate folders you just created.
4 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
5 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
6 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
7 Choose the radio button "Selected folders"
8 Tick the folders you want to go on the iPod and click Apply
When you go to Photos on your iPod you'll see each of the folders you have chosen in the menu and you cab choose whichever one you want to view.

The orange Firefox button shows by default only in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

try a new/fresh apple brand cable and make sure it is the only usb cable in use. this worked for me, i noticed i had no problem with a lighting cable. i did a restore from scratch and from backup and it did not help me...and if you cant sync than you wont be able to get anything but apps back after the restore

I couldn't agree more. the short time it worked before the program tried to update its self and was deleted from the computer, it was hard to find anything. now can't load any version. all i get is error 2324.
