Since OS Lion, iPhoto creates libraries but I can't see my pictures

iPhot can rebuild my librairy, I see the number of pictures per album, event, ... but he can't display the thumnails, he runs and can't fx the problem

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose the top three options.
What happens when you double click on one of the pics? Does the full sized pic show up? Or a ! or ? The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder.
Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?

Iphoto is open but I can't see it

I was just working in iphoto, copying pics in and out of iphoto, and I pushed the window so it was out of the way at the bottom of my screen. When I went back to it, I couldn't 'find' it. I clicked on the iphoto icon, and at the top of the screen I see the menu bars for the program, but the actual window with all my pics is missing. I restarted and rebooted a few times, no luck. Please help!! (I'm currently running OSX Version10.7.5)

1. From the application's menu bar, select
Window ▹ Zoom
2. If an external display is connected and turned off, either turn it on or disconnect it.
3. Open Mission Control. Close all desktops except Desktop 1 by positioning the cursor over each one and then clicking the X button in the top left corner. In Desktop 1, move the missing window, if need be, so that it won't be hidden behind the Dock.

How do I rebuild iphoto? Nothing happens when I press iphoto-no drop down box.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
iPhoto 8 (09) and earlier- run the options indicated
iPhoto 9 (11) and later- run Option #4 to rebuild the database
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager (iPhoto 8 or earlier or IPhoto 11 and later) and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the
File ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 8 or earlier)
or
Library ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 9 or later)
menu option to rebuild the library. Select the checkbox to include orphaned photos.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

iTunes sees what iPhoto sees, iPhoto only sees one library at a time.
Either merge your libraries or upload content from one of your libraries to a service such as Flickr and use the Flickr feature on the Apple TV.

If it's just a question of memory, you can buy and install more. It could also be that your iMac is just not compatile with Lion.
Minimum requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

Enable PhotoStream in iCloud first, then add the photos to PhotoStream in iCloud. Of course, you will need PhotoStream also enabled on your other devices also in order to view them.

Berit, please specify the OS version and software in which you are trying to find library?
Make sure you your software is updated to the latest version. Try to reset the preference of the software as mentioned below:
Photoshop Help | Preferences
InDesign Help | Setting preferences
Illustrator Help | Setting preferences
Let us know if you are still not able to see Library panel in any specific software.

Turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall
Disable anti virus software.
Make sure your Mac meets Mountain Lion requirements > Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.

If you created an album containing some of your photo stream photos, this will not be shared using photo stream. If you want to share a subset of your photos, create a shared photo stream and share it with your wife, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99.

So you synced a new playlist to your iPhone but it isn't available on the phone?
When you synced the playlist to your iPhone with iTunes, did you have the music set to sync the Entire music library or Selected playlist…?
3. Select the Sync checkbox, then select the items you want to sync automatically each time you connect your device.
If you had it set for Selected playlist, please make sure the new one is selected to sync.

installing mtn lion is not! enough if your video card does not support it then you need to live without mirror or take your chances with airparrot
