Since OS4 Number of Apps Fail to Work Correctly

Since the release of OS4 and my uploading the firmware to my handset I have noticed a number of issues.
A number of apps I had previosuly installed and that were working fine have NOT done so since the upgrade.
Two examples are:-
"Warpgate" - where certain elements of the game have ceased to function.
"the Birds of Great Britain and Ireland" where text pages can no longer can be scrolled.
Is there a revamp of OS4 coming soon as at the moment I have paid for applications that are not working?

Delete the app & redownload (you won't be charged). The developer may not have updated the app to run on iOS 6.

Number to fractional string not working correctly

I am measuring some parameters from oscillsocpe. i need to write these values to text file for which i am using write to spreadsheet, but what is happening is it is always writing zero value to file, on debugging i found that while converting from number to string it is always writng zero to string indicator, then separately i used that number to fractional string indicator and it is always showing zero in string output , i dont why it is happening.

number to fractional string is working correctly, there is some other problem, because inly when i am executing this code converting this rise time value to string then only it is showing zero, otherwise for any random number if i am checking this number to fractional string is working correctly.

i dont need to convert it back to string that i am doing only to check why it is showing zero value on converting number to string , because when i was writing to spreadsheet file it was always writing zero value, so when checked that code it was observed that while converting from array of numbers to spreadsheet string it is always writing zero value that's why i am doing it here just to check why it is not converting to string, but your suggestion helped in focussing the string that i am gettong from VISA read, i can use that in last case if i wont be able to find the solution but main problem is that why i am not able to convert it back to string, why it is showing zero because it is because of this only write to spreadsheet is always showing zero value .

Microsoft Office Apps fail to work after 10.6.7 update

Has anyone else's office apps failed to open after installing the OS update?
This is a brand new iMac only 5 days old using office 2011 with current updates.

After doing some Internet research and speaking with a second-level Apple tech, together we came up with the following solution.
Shut down, then start in safe-mode (hold shift key while re-starting). This will clear the font cache and re-build it. After doing this, when I started Word 2004 it took some time, but it showed the following fonts as corrupt: APC Courier, Bastion, Chicago TU, Courier TU, Latinski - and indicated they should be removed. Word then started up even though I just clicked OK to those messages and didn't remove them. I then re-started Word and it came up normally even though those fonts are still in the font book. By the way, I have downloaded the freeware app "Fontnuke-1.17," but haven't used it yet. There is a shareware app, "Fontfinagler," which may also be useful if safe mode doesn't work for you.

I updated to Maverick and now my scroll bars on mail, safari and all apps doesn't work correctly. Also, can I hang back to the old mail from 10.6.8?

I updated from 10.6.8 to Maverick 10.9.2 and all of my apps scroll bars do not work correctly as in mail, safari, etc... Anything that can be done? Also, the mail interface is completely different from 10.6.8...is there a way to change back to the look of 10.6.8 or??? Did i make a mistake by updating to Maverick? Help please!

Facebook no longer works correctly on my iPad. If a post has a video attached, safari automatically brings up the video. I have deleted the app facebook and re-added. Still having the issue.

It appears to be a bug with (I assume) Facebook's servers - other people are having the same problem, me included, with the app switching into YouTube in Safari and showing the last video that was posted on the wall. Until Facebook (if it is their bug) fix it, then there is not much that you can do, apart from possibly accessing Facebook via Safari on your iPad and/or on your computer instead. The problem has also been reported on Facebook's help site as well - it may be related to their new 'timeline' feature or the new iPad that they are rumoured to be announcing soon

All Adobe Creative Cloud apps fail to work, creating new user Home folder fixed it.

We have Adobe Creative Cloud device licenses. I had a user contact me yesterday with these problems.
Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 - error opening, "could not complete your request because the file is locked do not have necessary access permissions or another program is using the file photoshop"
Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 - error opening, "the operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [cant]"
Adobe InDesign CC 2014 - would crash when opening, no error given
These same apps worked when logged in as a different user.
None of these worked:
I tried removing all kinds of user Adobe preferences, Application Support files, etc.
Deleted ~/.adobe
I fixed permissions on the user's home folder.
Renamed user's Home/Library to LibraryBak.
Uninstalling and reinstalling CC.
What finally worked was creating a new user and copying the contents of the broken user home directory over, except for Home/* level hidden files. (eg: .adobe, bash_history) Basically I just copied over the visible folders and used the Terminal to copy of the hidden ~/Library folder.
Does anyone have any idea what the exact cause was? What file/folder could've been deleted to fix this instead of the longer route I took?

Serial number of CS4 fails to work with Acrobat.

I bought CS4 from the University of Alberta some years ago. Now I wish to install on anew computer. No problems with AI, ID and PS. Acrobat Pro doesn't accept the serial number. How do I get a valid serial number. The version number is 9.0.0

I was on chat with Adobe for 2 hours over this. They told me eventually that live help was unavailable for this, that I had to go online.

A number of Apps won't work on my iOS 5 iPad

iBooks, Kindle and others tell me that they need iOS 6 or later. As I have a first generation iPad, iOS 5 is the latest that I can operate. Is there a way to get the earlier versions of these, and other Apps?

Some apps will let you download and run older versions of the app instead if you dont have the latest operating system. This was only introduced a few months ago, but developers can control which older versions are available.
There are some valid reasons to not allow older versions, it can create problems if someone has a mixture of devices of different ages, all sharing the same iCloud files, for example.
You are unlikely to have much luck with iBooks, but it is worth asking Amazon whether they can flip the switch to make the older Kindle app available, etc.

Remote App still not working correctly!

Well since theres been numerous updates for ATV3 and the Remote App since my last post in November https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4357665?start=0&tstart=0
I decided to try the newsest updates and see if the issue is fixed...Of course its not! Still whenever I try to play a video from my playlist using the remote app or switch to a different video I immediately get bounced back to the main screen of ATV! How can 3 updates from Apple not have fixed this issue! I have all the latest firmware on atv3, iphone5 and ipad2 and none of it works pertaining to videos, once again Im going to roll back to 5.0.2 and maybe in another 3 updates give it a try...anyone else found a fix?

I can not reach the first tab at the bottom of the App Store since it was downyesterday how much I pressed it will show the app Percepto instead, what should Ido?

Autodeploment fails to work correctly ?

When using autodeployment directory in domain1/autodeploy files like mywar.war are published under name "mywar" and context "mywar".
This is of course with all files not only mine. Wars from tutorial work the same way.
Why does the app server ignores what's written in xml files ?
(Using deploytool everything works as it should)

My apps won't work correctly

Since the update my iPad doesn't want to open Simpsons tapped out. Not sure if it is a problem with the app or the update

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help you might try deleting the app and the resetting the iPad again. But you will lose the data it stores.
Also contact the developer of the app to report the problem.
