I've been using Firefox until a recent download and now it won't connect. Perhaps an older version will work; checked my firewall to allow, etc.; I'm connecting to you through Safari; For some reason Internet Explorer is also not connecting. My computer uses Vista.

In any case, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Also, if you want to use an older version of Firefox, please use Firefox 3.5.11. Only versions 3.5.11 and 3.6.8 are supported, and both contain all the latest security fixes. Using any other version is unsafe and not recommended.

You can't delete it. Look on all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

10.5.8 is the highest OSX it can run.
TenFourFox is the most up to date browser for our PPCs, they even have G4 & G5 optimized versions...

I'd avoid vesrion 24 though, as it no longer supports plug-ins like Flash.

That WON'T convert it.
If I do the same with an MP3 and change the extension to JPG, it DOESN'T make it a picture. It makes it unusable.
Change it back to AVI and download "Handbrake". http://handbrake.fr/
Use HandBrake to "convert" it to M4V.

Current Firefox versions require a Mac with an Intel processor and OS X 10.6.
Firefox 16 is the last version that runs on Intel Mac OS X 10.5.
You would have to update to OS X 10.6 to be able to use current Firefox releases.

Why not do a "Restore" in iTunes to set it back to factory settings? That will eliminate any previous information that is causing you issues in use. You will have an iPod which you can sync as if it is new with your settings and info.

I have downloaded the new update for Firefox 3.6 and now cannot connect to the internet. I've checked my firewall and have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, but nothing works.

They made an error with the update in only listing it as compatible with Firefox 4.0, so they will not install on Firefox 4.0.1 and subsequent Firefox security updates. You can set Firefox back to using the default theme. Open the add-ons manager (in the tools menu select Add-ons), in the add-ons manager go to the Themes panel. Click on the Default theme in the list of themes then click on the "Use Theme" button.

There are some recovery programs out there if you google them - many with free trials. I haven't tried them so I have no opinion.Read any professional tech and user reviews you can find before you try one. I have read here in the past that some have worked for people who have posted here.
To help in the future, have you considered using Jump Desktop - Remote Desktop? I know it won't solve the problem you're dealing with now (unless notes were taken on your computer.) It's in the app store. It's the #1 paid app in the business category and the reviews are great. It allows you to see anything that's on your computer on your ipad. If you take your notes on your ipad then you might want to email them to yourself, put them on Word in your computer, for example, and then if you need them in class, you remotely connect your ipad to your computer and you will see your notes. This way you won't have to rely so much on the cloud. The explanation would be too long here, but you might want to take a look at it. You can use the free trial on jumpdesk.com and then if it works for you, buy it in the app store.

Version 13 Photoshop is also knows as CS6, and Version 14 is known as CC, so you have to ensure that you have the appropriate version of Extension Manager installed that corresponds to your version of Photoshop. It sounds as though you are trying to install Beauty Retouching Kit via Extension Manager CS6 but using Photoshop CC. You can download Extension Manager CC a number of ways but to get the latest version, you can use the CC Desktop App (free) to install it. Hope this helps.

How do I download the previous version of Firefox (3) as my system won't support Firefox 4 (can't find the older versions archives anywhere on your site).

I already had Firefox version 2 on my mac (OS 10.4) and tried to upgrade to version 4. Couldn't find any details on system requirements, so just went ahead and tried to download latest version. By the time the process informed me that it wouldn't work on my system, the old version 2 had somehow been deleted. Now I have no Firefox browser at all and cannot find any older versions archived.

I just read today about a separately maintained, unofficial version of Firefox for 10.4 users called TenFourFox. They are somehow repackaging the latest Firefox to work on 10.4 (''on non-Intel Macs'').
