Since starting with CC, InDesign is HANGING. Running on same system as CS6 where there were no problems
Since starting with CC, InDesign is HANGING. It is running on the same Windows 8.1 Pro system as was CC6.
Did you try resetting preferences? Did you try testing for a corrupt font? Did you clean out the Temp folder lately?

Apparently it's an itunes issue. I just tried to update and got the same issue. Called att to activate my iphone 4s and they say they can do the swap but apple is telling them itunes is down atm. So will have to wait

Just upgraded to firefox 4 and websites are now taking ages to load, there were no problems when I downloaded the upgrade. Is there a fault with the new version of firefox?
Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

I have Mac Mini OSX 10.6.2; Safari states "can't open server since url starting with 'open-help-anchor'. I didn't type this but possibly I was hijacked but it only occurs on the specific banking site I'm trying to get into. Ever since start up my computer has being running very slow
Ever since i started up my OS X Macbook pro today, the first thing that popped up was that my calander had converted to 2001, also my usually automatically connecting wifi was asking for the password. I then noticed how slow my laptop was operating (never been like this before). I have all the updated software and don't know why my computer has all of a sudden started running this slow.

The first thing I would suggest for you to check is to make sure your time and date is set to update automatically. If the time and date are set incorrectly, this can have unexpected symptoms such as the ones you are seeing. Here is an article about setting your time and date correctly:

It's rather unintuitive, but start a video playing and click the "shrink" icon in the on-screen control bar (right end, the two facing arrows) to reduce the playback from full screen down to a window. Then go to the View menu, select "video playback", and set it to "in iTunes Window" or "in separate window" as you prefer.

Oc4j starting with Oracle Database & oc4j App Server on same machine

This is Sagar, i have created a GIS Application(java) using Oracle 10g.
Senario I:
oc4j server and oracle 10g Database Server on different machines:
When i start oc4j server with NO. OF Mappers = 64 or 30 in DNS using
1. oc4j -start (normally)
from the path c:/oc4j/bin by setting ORACLE_HOME path normally
application is working fine but when users are increased say 4 to 5 oc4j server gives error:
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java Heap Space
I searched for this error i found a solution for starting oc4j as follows:
2.Java -Xmx1024m -Xms1024m -jar oc4j.jar
from the path c:/oc4j/j2ee/home --- oc4j.jar
Then map & application works fine and fast since heap space is increased to 1GB (speed is noticable)
but if...(in other senario)
Senario II:
oc4j server and oracle 10g Database Server on same machine:
if step 2: is used form above senario, oc4j Server does not gets started only it gets initialized...(server does not gets started)
but Step 1: is used application works fine but again heap space error as mentioned above is seen.
Again if changes are made in oc4j.cmd file in c:/oc4j/bin ....by giving the heap space command oc4j works fine but the application(performance) is very very slow but heap space error is not seen.
Please can any body suggest the solution.. application should work fast and also the heap space should be increased but taking the senario - oc4j App Server & Oracle 10g Database Server on Same machine..Hello,
How much RAM do you have on the machine? What is the size of the SGA for the database you are using?

How to run stand alone executables developed with different versions of LabView on the same system
I am using LabVIEW 8.2 to develop a stand alone executable for a target system. The target system already has a stand alone executable written by another vendor, using LabVIEW 7.1. I installed the LV RunTime Engine for 8.2 which left the 7.1 engine intact (as it should). The problem I am now having is that the drivers installed on the target system are incompatible with the NI-DMM vi's that I am using. My concern is that if I replace the old drivers with the ones I am using on my development platform I may end up breaking the old software. What would be an appropriate work around to ensure that the target system will be able to run both executables? (FWIW the system will NOT be running both executables concurrently.)
The target system is an embedded PXI card cage, running Windows XP, with a NI PXI-4070 DMM (among other instruments, however I have had not had this issue with the NI-DAQmx drivers).Hi Yerffejj,
Thanks for sharing your issue with the community. I am struggling to see what you mean by "break the software." If you only have the two executables and LV Run-Time versions 8.2 & 7.1, then you just need to go to http://www.ni.com/support/ » Drivers and Updates » Search within Results: » enter "NI-DMM" » GO to get the DMM driver you need. To see the driver you were using on the development machine, just go to Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). The DMM driver should also automatically install DAQmx, NI-VISA, and NI-IVI, fyi.

Problem with saving InDesign newsletter to a print ready PDF in CS6
I am using a PC and created a 4 page newsletter in InDesign, CS6. I have made this newsletter over and over in previous version of CS products and never had a problem. But with CS6, I cannot get it to save as a print-ready PDF with the bleeds and markups the printer needs.
I have the Document Setup set to a bleed of 0.25 all around. I have tried Printing to PDF, Exporting, and Print Booklet. Printing to PDF doesn't show the bleeds and markups. Exporting doesn't show the bleeds and markups. Print Booklet only shows the bleeds and markups if I shrink the file down with a Scale to Fit...which won't work for the printer. I have tried everything thing I can think of, tried changing all kinds of printer settings...I seriously have no idea why this isn't working.
Any suggestions?Well, the obvious thing is to make sure you've got "Use Document Bleed Settings" checked in the export dialog AND that you've got trim marks turned on. YOu should save a custom preset to do this along with the other settings your printer requires.

Everthing was replaced including the information under iCloud under settings. My iPad now states that I do not have my iCloud account set up on my iPad as on the old one I did not.
Go to Settings>iCloud and set up the iCloud account you were using before by singing in with the same Apple ID. Then turn the data you were syncing with your iCloud account back to On, and if prompted, choose merge.
