Since Sun cannot support its product on Linux, is it any better on Win2k3?

Having spent over 20 hours and failing to get DSEE to work on Linux and the web console my conclusion is either look at a Windows platform or go find another product.....so does anyone run DSEE on Windows and can share their experience of support issues?

Yesterday I had expent 3 hours to install DS6.0 in my Linux.
This new server is talking to a set of previous DS6 servers runing on top of a Solaris 9 hosts.
Do you mind to describe excatly what you have done and what problems you faced?

You will probably be able to find the iWork'09 DVD at Amazon or similar online vendor. Install from the DVD and immediately run Software Update to get to the latest version.
The Terms of Use here dictate that we test our suggestions before posting, but obviously I'm not going to try this myself, so there's an element of risk, but it seems your only option. It has worked for users in the past, but you never know how OS upgrades can change such things. If you go this route, please post back with your results.

Your Mac already has a Spanish and an English Dictionary.
May be you only need to select them.
Open Dictionary.app and under preferences select the languages you need.

I am an avid supporter of Linux. Adobe appears to have zero real interest. I have a feeling the company is regularly paid to keep their software tied to Windows and Mac. The petition you created is a waste of time unless you convince a large audience (advertise). A lot of Linux users believe Adobe will never port their software. Even if you did manage to have a million people sign it, I do not think it would make one bit of difference. The chances of us seeing a full-fledged alternative are much greater. Sorry to sound like a pessimist. It is simply reality.

Nokia Cannot support its own phones with PCsuite!!

Is it my imagination or is it true that Nokia PC Suite cannot support Nokia Phones?!
I have a very simple question for Nokia:
I have an E90, each contact on my phonebook on the E90 has multiple numbers, a contact may have 2 mobile numbers, 3 business numbers, 2 home numbers, so unless Nokia considers it illegal for a person to have all these numbers, would it be so kind and let us know how to edit all these numbers using the PC Suite?!
Because if my eyesight serves me right, that blind PC suite cannot see all numbers! It's like it's a 3rd party product! Hell, even 3rd party products like Oxygen phone manager can do a much better job!
So for how long shall I keep holding my breath every time a new release of PC Suite shows up and it turns out to be a complete joke, just a layout change! No core difference!

When using the Nokia PCSuite 7, trust me I clicked all tabs everywhere in Simple and Advanced screen, all I see is only one number, the very first Tel.(Business) one, and it appears again in the advanced tabs, but I never get to see all those numbers with renamed labels! hey, i just bought a new nikon df camera, aperture cannot support my RAW NEF flie. is there any updates available?

Once Apple adds raw support, which will probably come in a Camera Raw system update rather than an Aperture update, the raw files should just start working. For the time being, configure your camera to shoot RAW+JPEG and then, in Aperture, select your imported photos and choose "Use JPEG as original" from the Photo menu. Or something like that. Later you can change it back to "Use raw as original".

Depends wher you obtained the iPhone from and it's original supplier
If the iPhone is an authorised unlock ( approved by the carrier) or was
purchased from Apple as an unlocked iPhone updating the iOS
will have no effect on the iPhone and it's lock status
HOWEVER if the software has been tampered with to remove the lock,
updating the iOs will lock the iPhone back to the original carrier who holds the lock
To find out the status of your iPhone you could call Apple support
and they may tell you if the iPhone is locked or not and if it is which carrier

Thank you! My solution was different. I had turned off services in MSCONFIG and did not turn them back on. After I turned services back on, Acrobat started working again without the nag error and impedance to use the program. I appreciate your input! Adobe customer service/tech support was dismally disappointing.

From what I can gather you will need to compile the driver from source in order to use the RDAC driver with the UEK kernel. Chances are that it won't compile properly under the UEK kernel, which is more up to date than the RHEL kernel.
You will have to start the system from the supplied original RHEL kernel in order to use the binary IBM RDAC driver distribution. The following is available: http://www.lsi.com/sep/Pages/rdac/ds4000.aspx and http://www.lsi.com/sep/Pages/rdac/ds3000.aspx
You may however be able to use Multipath, which is build in also in the UEK kernel. To get the current supported configurations for IBM System Storage it is best to use the interoperability matrices located at http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/storage/product/interop.html. You can use the link to the "System Storage Interoperation Center (SSIC)" to query your specific configuration (http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/support/storage/ssic/interoperability.wss)

I'm glad someone has outlined the clear support statement that has existed for sometime between VMware - SAP. For those of you still running on Oracle, here is some good news:
Wording towards SAP Customers requesting support:
"Oracle, VMware and SAP are working collaboratively to ensure support for SAP customers that use VMware virtualization for SAP solutions running Oracle DB. Functional tests are currently being performed to verify supportability of the SAP&Oracle stack. Details will be made available in SAP note 1173954 u201CSupport of Oracle for VMwareu201D after tests have been completed. It is expected that in Q1 2010, ESX 3.5 and later releases including vSphere 4 will be supported by Oracle and SAP according to Oracleu2019s metalink note 249212."
There is no reason why x86 platform today cannot run the most demanding workloads on VMware vSphere in a production environment. But has noted earlier, don't get hung up on "production" - you have heaps of TestDev, SolMan TestDev, sandboxes, gateways, application servers etc that should immediately by put into a VM - once you are comfortable with your solution in-house, I'm sure you will move production instances into a VM as well.

Cannot Install - Invalid Product Keycode Error

How does a person actually install Crystal Reports software, the program will not get past the first screen indicating the keycode is invalid or expired. We got 2 emails with 2 keycodes and they don't work either. This is very frustrating. We are installing Crystal Reports Professional XI Business Objects. I am not sure how to get a valid product code. I appreciate any assistance in this matter, it has been 3 days since we opened the box and still we cannot install it.

Support for 64 bit Linux

When can we have support for 64 bit Linux? The problem is
that most new hardware
is moving towards 64 bit architectures. We have a brand new

Enterprise 4, coldfusion will not run on it.

I couldn't agree more - it's insane that an enterprise
product isn't supporting x86_64 instructions in 2007.
On a more constructive note - does anybody out there have a
compiled connector for RHEL or CentOS 4.X, the 64 bit version? I
ask because I've found numerous pages on the web describing how it
works great for people after they compile it on their own. Well, I
can't get it to work. I have CentOS 4.4 x64, and I try to run this
script after successfully installing CFMX 7.0.2 by using the method
to sed out the checks for the right kernels, etc. Here is the
script I try to run inside the connectors/src directory:

VXI support under LabVIEW for Linux

A potential client contacted me regarding a small project using VXI hardware under Linux. I'm considering using LabVIEW for Linux but I'm not too clear on NI's VXI driver support and whether they have a VI library for the particular hardware. I contacted NI tech support over the phone but they didn't have any answers. BTW, I've used LV with PCI and ISA DAQ boards under Windows and Linux but I've never used VXI.
Here is the hardware in question:
PCI/VXI-MXI-2(8026) - PCI to VXI bridge
VXI-AO-48XDC - 48 channel analog output board
VXI-MIO-64XE-10 - multifunction DAQ board
Anyone know what's involved in building a LV app for this system under Linux, i.e. what's NI's HW driver and LabVIEW support?

Kevin,
National Instruments has NI-VXI for Linux. The driver provides support for the PCI/VXI-MXI-2(8026), and VXI embedded Controllers. The NI-VXI driver also provides the programming API that will allow you to communicate with the VXI boards in your system.
You can find a KnowledgeBase that shows what versions of Linux are currently supported by NI-VXI here.
If you have never used VXI before I should note that it is different from using a PCI DAQ card. You might want to read this here which will explain a little about VXI.
The LabVIEW for Linux system requirements can be found here. I should note that LabVIEW will work on the 2.6 kernel, however since you are looking at NI-VXI you will need to use the 2.4 kernel anyway.
