This is a script I have been using for months to open Illustrator files in Phohoshop, resize them, and then save as PNG. The source images are dynamically generated and it is impractical to sit around waiting to click on the save dialog after every one. This is a new issue for a script I have been using for a long time.

A document you had open at the time you quit Numbers has a font that you do not have (probably Calibri). You can change the font to one you have OR close the file before you quit Numbers. Numbers will open files you had open when you quit.

Just since the last update I can't open attachments. No matter which opener I choose, all I get is gabble. What am I doing wrong?

I can't open text attachments. Even when I use the 'free document viewer' program all I get is a pattern of letters, not clear text. I've tried every program in the choices list, which doesn't include Adobe or Word, both of which are on my computer.
I believe this problem started after the last Mozilla update, but I'm not sure. I receive messages in my Mail.com account on a cycle towards the end of the month, and this cropped up since the end of last month.

Ever since I downloaded the new software update available I haven't been able to open my iPhoto at all. It looks like it's opening but then it says it's updating and will sit there for hours doing nothing at all. I'm a photographer and can't take the chance of losing what I have in there. Please help!

1 - the solution to not losing your photos is agood backup routine
2 - teh most likely solution to your current problem is to quite iPhoto (force quit if necessary) and Back up your iPhoto library, Depress the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library

I used to the pages, quick office and textilus for documents. For Xls I have used calc free xls, numbers and quickoffice. For the zip file I have used the izip pro. Now none of the new office format (docx,xlsx) or zipx would open.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Middle-click or click the scroll-wheel on a hyperlink has always opened a '''new Tab'''. Any chance you had an add-on that changed that action, and now that add-on is disabled or incompatible?

If you've already restarted both your iOS devices after the update and Numbers for iOS still won't load, you might try clearing the documents temporarily out of iCloud, opening the apps, closing them, and then placing the documents back in iCloud.
To do this, in Finder on your Mac, hold down the option key and then Go > Library > Mobile Documents > com~apple~Numbers. Move the documents there out to the Desktop or other location of your choosing. Then give iCloud time to sync. Then try opening Numbers on iPad and on the iPhone. If they open, then close them, and move the documents back into Library > Mobile Documents > com~apple~Numbers and let iCloud sync again.
That sometimes clears up the problem.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Well, I rebuilt the entire workbook... that was a few months ago and so far, the problem hasn't resurfaced. It really wasn't fun to do, but whatever glitch there was in the file, I eliminated it.
I think I should mention that I am using Office v.X, NOT Office 2004. I got a new Intel iMac this week and yesterday when I opened up my files, it opened up the test drive (a JOKE of a program if you ask me) Anyway, some of the very minor issues I had with Office v.X were solved in the 2004 version. (When opening up large multi worksheet files without Excel being already opened, the tabs have white text) Anyway, I am still going to wait for the universal version to come out, but it seems that the newer versions may have fewer glitches (as is to be expected)

Hi Pat..When I tried to run Fix It the computer pops up a screen that says this trouble shooter does not apply to this computer .The article refers to Internet Explorer 10 and Im running Internet Explorer 11. I'm sorry, there is no way to change that. It is a change with the newer iOS 7. You can provide feedback to Apple, like a large group of others have that are disappointed in this at www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.

The setting in "Tools > Options > Tabs" only works for links that would open in a new window.<br />
That option allow you to divert such calls to a new tab.<br />
For other links you either have to use a middle click or a Ctrl + left click or use the context menu.
